My wife and I had a nice time tasting here on Sunday. The weather was a bit gloomy but it was dry , there was plenty of parking and we did not have to wait to get counter space to test our their wines. Tastings are $30 each but you are welcome to split the tastings up, if you prefer. We did two full tastings so that was six one-ounce tastings each. Service was relaxed, informative and friendly. The sparkling wines were decent but nothing really special. Actually, neither were the whites. The reds and sweet wines were far better and really liked the Cabernet Franc and the Doppietta. The Beverino 2018 and the Port NV were a great way to finish off the tastings and we ended up joining their wine club. This was my wife's second visit to Temecula and my first. We will be coming back a few more times to both pick up our club packs and try a few more wineries. read more

This is the first winery we went to . I actually did a lot of drinking here. The problem here was that I liked too many Bottles of wine. We had a couple glasses of wine ! No winetasting here we did wine drinking . luckily , they gave us Bread sticks to soak up some of that vino . I was definitely feeling flushed at this point. Looking around it looks kind of like a gray barn with high ceilings . Next door is the hotel. I didn't walk in there but it looks nice. Walk to the back of the store and go through the back doors, and the most lovely garden awaits .........gorgeous! The most charming well Planned outdoor area. A covered restaurant patio so you don't get hot yet you can still see everything.. Waterfalls and white flowers everywhere. Definitely coming back here for lunch. Food was delicious I had the braised beef just fell apart with rice pilaf and broccolini all seasoned great, my husband got the steak n shrimp dish, he said that was great a couple glasses of wine celebrating my anniversary service was good it was nice surroundings and a beautiful day in the wine country. Been coming here for years and always had a wonderful experience. Came for a 3 day stay in the hotel and to our surprise the air conditioning in the hotel and restaurants were not working. They say it has something to do with the solar panels. It's night time in the cellar lounge and its 90 degrees. Staff told us the air conditioning has been out for the past 3 weeks and no one has an answer to when it will be fixed. Today was 106 degrees and no air conditioning. Drinks were room temperature, no ice, so uncomfortable. We would have never booked our trip if we knew. No where on their website states the ac is out nor are there any discounts for the inconvenience. Totally unacceptable. You should close until you fix the issue. Unbearable to stay here. Also the "Cellar" use to be a great lounge. Its so bright and does not feel like a lounge at all. You could perform surgery its so bright. The staff was great and it's not their fault but we wont be back. Very sad read more

Staff was friendly and fast, the only downside is that they do not offer seating outside to drink your wine. The food was warm, not hot. For $19 per glass of wine I would expect more than a half filled dwarf size glass. The pizza was described on the menu as "flat pizza crust fired in a wood burning oven". It tasted like a frozen, packaged pizza. It was flat and tasteless, no char..no crust, soft bottom and no flavor..cheap ingredients....I'm clueless. The salmon cakes tasted packaged and undersalted. Ramon was our waiter and he was so kind and informative. Pablo was the helping waiter and he was great. Ian hooked me up with the bread which was delicious by the way. The bread comes out a little cold but was still really amazing. The mussels I had were great. I did the tasting for 30.00 and you get 6 pours. Ponte Winery was the second stop on the Temecula wine trail and were I had intended on eating lunch after reading how the restaurant here was a great stop. I was full from my first stop so I didn't eat at the restaurant but I did have the foresight to make a reservation for a tasting. I was early so I walked around the grounds a little which was a nice little time filler. There's a hotel that sits on the acreage as well with a little pond in the back. The vines weren't in bloom yet but it was still a nice walk. The wine tasting is done on their patio and it runs the spectrum from light to red. If I could give zero stars, I would. Ponte Winery is hands down one of the most overrated, overpriced, and underwhelming wineries I've ever had the misfortune of visiting. The entire experience was an absolute joke from start to finish. First, let's talk about the service--or rather, the complete lack of it. The staff acted like they were doing me a favor by even acknowledging my existence. Rude, inattentive, and totally unprofessional. I've had better customer service at a gas station. It took an eternity to get our tastings, and when they finally bothered to pour, they couldn't have been more disinterested. You work at a winery--maybe pretend to care about wine? Then there's the wine itself, which, to put it bluntly, tastes like regret. Bland, watered-down, overpriced garbage. I wouldn't serve this to my worst enemy. I've had boxed wine that's more impressive. For the ridiculous prices they charge, I expected something at least remotely drinkable, but every pour was worse than the last. And don't even get me started on their food--mediocre at best, highway robbery at worst. As for the atmosphere, Ponte tries to act like it's some high-end, luxurious destination, but in reality, it's just a tourist trap with zero soul. It's crowded, chaotic, and feels more like an overpriced wedding factory than an actual winery. There's no personal touch, no warmth, and certainly no reason to ever come back. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration--go literally anywhere else in Temecula. There are dozens of better wineries that actually care about their guests, serve decent wine, and don't treat customers like an inconvenience. Ponte is a hard pass. Never again. read more

Decided to take a chance and drive over. Got to restaurant and hostess couldn't care less. Said to go to tasting room and they'd call us once they cleared a table. 20 minutes of horrible wine and blank look assistance at tasting bar and no message we go back to little miss care less. Still waiting for group to leave. Plenty of tables in sight. We left. Some restaurants don't understand they're in the hospitality business. This place is the pinnacle of that. Our group would have generated a minimum of $500 in revenue. Who cares says Ponte. We'd rather be aloof, uncaring, and serve an overpriced product that is the wine version of their service ethic. They have great red wines! The outdoor area is just so beautiful and a nice walk to go exploring near the pond area. They only had one tasting area open with 2 servers. I thought for a Saturday it would be packed but it wasn't. This winery is moderately pricy. I paid $22 for a glass of red wine. If you want to do a tasting of 6, it is $30. They don't pour very much here, overall the taste and quality of the wine is amazing. The views are amazing and they also have a hotel that is a part of the winery for those who would like to stay the night. read more

It was super hot morning and for some reason someone cancelled our reservations. No Problem! It was no big deal really because we were immediately taken to our designated table. I have never had freshly squeezed orange juice w my mimosa! Refreshing! Especially, when it is about to get really hot. Yes! Very unpleasantly surprised at the food we received at this restaurant, read really good reviews and our meals (2 meals) were both not good, undercooked potatoes and asparagus, had to send back the filet as is too was undercooked, and very thin for a filet, especially $60 meals, the other dish, steak & shrimp was flavorless and also veggies and potatoes undercooked and flavorless, paid WAY too much for this type of restaurant! Beautiful grounds to match their beautiful wines! If you're a lover of Pinot Noir, then you will fall in love with Ponte Winery. Came here last year with a friend while tasting in Temecula, and Ponte was one of my favorite wineries to visit. Funny story: while I was tasting one of their Pinots, it felt like I had tried it somewhere else before. Now mind you, this was my first time ever tasting in Temecula and I'm not too familiar with Temecula wines. I later found out that this winery had recently bought out a winery in Sherwood, Oregon by the name of Hawk's View. I had just tasted at that winery a few months prior. It was the same Pinot. Go figure! Crazy that I was able to recognize it so easily, and so glad that it was one of my favorites. The grounds are definitely grand. Breathtaking views of Temecula Valley and a setup so stunning that people often get married here. We were fortunate to see a wedding setup right from their back patio. It was gorgeous! This place is beautiful. It's definitely one of the busier wineries in the area, but I wouldn't call is a circus by any means. We enjoyed our tasting inside to avoid the heat, and had a really nice time. If you decide to hang out on the back patio (which is probably all that you can do right now during COVID anyways), they have covered seating, heat lamps, TV's for sporting events, and even food trucks out back. Inside seems to be a bit more mellow. Our wine sommelier (didn't get her name unfortunately) never missed a beat despite how busy it was inside. She was sweet and super knowledgeable about all of the wines. Like I mentioned previously, their Pinot Noir really shined the most. It was so luscious. Jammy, silky, and smooth just the way that I like it. I also really enjoyed their Vermentino and their Cab Franc. We had such a fun time at Ponte! I've been meaning to post this review after reflecting on our recent experience. My husband and I first visited this winery for a close family friend's wedding, which was kid-friendly, and we brought our one-year-old along. We loved the atmosphere, stayed at the hotel, and returned multiple times with our daughter for wine tastings. We even became wine members because it was such a welcoming place for families. However, our most recent visit was a completely different experience. We came to pick up our wine, as we usually do, and planned to have a quick tasting before heading back to Orange County. Our daughter was in her stroller, quietly minding her business, just as she has been on previous visits. We went up to the counter, informed the staff that we were picking up our wine, and asked for a tasting. Things took a turn when a man in a suit approached us, not particularly friendly, and told us that we couldn't have our child in the tasting area. He insisted that we either take her outside or go back and forth for each tasting. I explained that we were just picking up our wine and would be leaving soon, but he repeated that they were "cracking down." He then stood nearby, watching us, which made us feel very uncomfortable. When the staff member returned with our wine, we decided to cancel our membership and leave without finishing our tasting. The whole experience felt awkward and unwelcoming, especially compared to how family-friendly it had been in the past. It's unfortunate because we used to really enjoy this place, but it's clear that it's no longer accommodating for families with young children. On a positive note, we found Longshadow Ranch Winery, which is far more family-friendly. They have animals, a BBQ cart, and even a playground--definitely a much more welcoming place for families who want to enjoy wine and make memories with their kids. read more

This is my favorite winery in Temecula Wine Country. The entire property is gorgeous with acres and acres of grapevines, cobblestone paths, and an enormous barnyard-style tasting room. Unfortunately, thanks to COVID the tasting room was closed during my most recent trip but they are partially open to pick up a quick purchase near the entrance of the tasting room. The dining area outside is also open. I always pick up a bottle of their popular Beverino, a sweet red blend, when I'm in Temecula. I also purchased a bottle Ponte's Beverino Blanco, another favorite of mine. Special shout out to the man who helped me, Andrew. Very friendly, excellent customer service! Came here for the first time on Wednesday, March 27th for a wine tasting and lunch at the winery. I tried many of the sweet and dessert wines and enjoyed them! After our wine tasting, we had a nice lunch on the patio. I had the linguini bolognese and it was excellent. We had the brussels sprouts as an appetizer and it was delicious. I used to be a member a while back and I have to say overtime the things I've heard and witnessed about the management has only gradually declined. They do not treat their staff with respect. Not surprised that they cannot keep the few good staff members that they once had. The fact that they are so understaffed makes the tasting experience horrible due to the constant feeling of people under pressure and unable to attend customers properly.
