Baby bird nest in the berries

What an amazing Mother's Day! We went and picked blueberries in the fields. It was an amazing experience. Anyone over 5 has to purchase a box but that was fine as we have 3 children and 2 are under 5. There was an abundance of blueberries! They also have a cute little farm stand at the entrance and some farm animals too.

My son loved the green ones... doh.

What a great activity to do with kids! I haven't been to a blueberry picking before, so this was a cool experience. Every one over 5 years old must purchase a box to enter. It makes sense because you think they'll just let anyone in and pick blueberries for free? You know people will be eating some too. We went with our toddler and we got a medium and a small. Which are these Chinese take out containers. The field is huge and hot! No shade. So bring a hat. No water over 20oz allowed. They also have a rule where you can't "sample" any berries you pick, which I think is kind of crazy, especially that younger kids will just eat some berries while picking. My 1 year certainly ate a few but got bored real quick and just liked running around in an open field. My husband had to chase him around, while I picked the rest of the berries. My son also picked the worst berries, all mushy/overripe ones and green ones... he'll learn and be a better picker next year. lol. Yes, it's expensive for blueberries, especially for the amount and price. But it's the experience and a fun family event. We'll be coming back every year! Come early bc it gets HOT! They have some farm animals, picture spots and tractors to entertain the kids. It's seasonal too.

Staff were very nice and helpful, explained where all the best berries were at. My son and friends enjoyed their time, come early because the crowd starts to come in at 10am. Everyone needs to purchase a bucket for picking so that is your entrance fee, I wish I would have bought the bigger bucket bc the berries were simply delicious and sweet. I definetely will come back when I'm in town. We also got the blueberry pound cake at the store, very soft and lightly sweeten so must get. They have little goats that you could feed, fun for the kids.

For my first visit, the weather was ideal. The farm is a U-pick blueberry farm, not too far from Kenny's strawberry farm. It is a pretty good size farm with an abundance of berries to pick. The farm operates on a cash-only basis, but checks are accepted. There is an ATM located within the store. There are no food trucks available. The prices for the berries are $6, $12, and $20. However, I did not appreciate the requirement that each guest must purchase a container to enter the farm. The berries are not organic, as indicated by the staff member at the counter. The lids should be able to fully close. If they overflow, the staff will offer the option to purchase an additional container. The containers are similar to those used in Chinese takeout boxes, making it challenging to hold them due to the wire handle. This may pose a difficulty for younger children while picking berries. While placing the container on the ground may provide some assistance, it is not my preferred option. Plucking the berries was relatively straightforward. Once they are ripe, lightly flick them with your thumb, and they will easily fall into your hand. There are limited parking spaces near the farm entrance. An additional parking area is located further down, which is a dirt lot. Parking is FREE. The farm allows children to use wagons, strollers. jogger strollers with large wheels, may be easier to navigate the dirt paths. Wheelchairs are also welcome, although I am uncertain whether they will be particularly comfortable due to the bumpy gravel stones. May also be hard to push. There are no sitting areas that I noticed. There is no shade, best to bring hats and sunscreen. Additionally, hand sanitizer and wipes should be brought for hygiene purposes.

Coming here is an annual tradition for our family. We always come early before it gets too hot and make sure not to wash the car ahead of time since parking is in the dirt/mulch. Prices are so reasonable and the berries are always so sweet and better than anything you could find in the grocery store. Bring cash and some quarters to feed the goats. It's a family run farm and you really get the sense this is a labor of love and not profiteering--the teenagers make shaved ice for $3. We always make crumble top blueberry muffins when we get home and munch on the rest, the berries never make it past a day or two. I will come here to pick berries even when my kids are grown--the berries are that delicious! This farm embodies the spirit of Temecula.

It's nice out here but!!! They won't let anybody over five years old in without paying for a bucket. It's like their entry fee even if you don't want to pick you still have to pay for an entry fee. Which is the small bucket and it's six dollars. I love this place and I don't remember them charging per person years ago. But this is not cool.

This has become one of our family traditions! Experiences like this are hard to come by and so much fun for families. While prices of containers are a little more than grocery stores, I love supporting this small business and will gladly pay. Fortunately, the blueberries are delicious! They're large, sweet, and crisp. Staff is so helpful and friendly, and the farm is actually pretty large, so there's lots of space to separate from other parties and PLENTY of berries. My only suggestion would be to have weekday evening options, to avoid busy weekends with littles and have cooler weather for picking! Can't wait to keep coming back every year!

Blueberry season is about to end. You'll need to check their website for their hours. This farm is not too far from Old Town Temecula. About 15 mins and through residential neighborhoods. No admission fee but each person must purchase a container to enter. Small ($6), Medium ($12), Large ($20). The lids must fully close flat when exiting. If it over flows, they'll make you upgrade to the next size. No sampling allowed! Plucking berries was actually pretty clean. No mess. Gently use your thumb and flick them towards you to fall into your palm. The farm is big so spread out away from the crowds and check high and low. We found that most of the large ripe plump ones were hidden between the not so ripe batch. Some ends of the aisles have rose bushes. Be careful of bees and thorns. They sell snow cones for $3 inside next to the big blueberry sign. Other activities include a small farm area with roosters and goats. You may purchase 25cent seeds to feed the goats. Porta Potties are located outside in front of the entrance. Parking: -As you drive down the big hill, you'll see the farm on your right and parking spaces. -There are extra lots on the left and straight ahead -Handicap parking directly in front of entrance Tips: -CASH ONLY (there's an ATM) -Sunblock-It may be gloomy but the sun will peak out and those Uv rays are dangerous -Bring water, hat, sunglasses -Wear closed toe shoes and shoes that you don't mind getting dirty from all the dirt kickback -Bring any props you want for photos. I brought a tin pail for the berries. Looks better than those white containers. I also brought a tiny step stool for sitting poses and a tripod. -I brought a cooler w ice packs to keep the berries cold and fresh on the hour drive home -Reserve about 2 hours Outside the entrance, you'll find a walk up shop selling blueberry bread, lip balm, chutney, jam, honey, etc. I didn't see water or food/snacks. Would be nice if they had a food truck.

I drove 2 hours to get there and it was not worthy! I could not see any fruit from the car park, should have trusted my eyes. Got myself a medium size box and it took forever to fill it up!

This was a wonderful berry picking experience and our first time here! There is a good amount of parking in dirt lots and parking spaces. At the entrance you choose from one of three container sizes before you enter. Everyone older than 5 (I think) must enter with a container. Then you just enjoy picking the best berries you can find. Of note, they sadly do not accept credit cards. You can pay with personal check, though. I believe I did see an ATM on site, but I am not 100% sure. I wish they had a sticker of some sort for the box tops, as they tend to pop open when full (they are just Chinese food take out containers). Also, the wire handles get a little painful after picking and holding the container for a while. The blueberries themselves are delicious! Far sweeter and juicier than anything you will find in a grocery store. Well worth a visit!!

Best blueberries. Enjoy picking at your own leisure. I look forward to going to the blueberry farm each year.

There are not so many places near San Diego where you can do berry picking. Strawberries are available when in season, but not much of anything else. I was thrilled to learn about blueberry picking in Temecula. Its a bit of a drive but totally worth it. Its a nice day out with your family or friends. Something to know before you get there - you need to check their site or Facebook page for opening hours and dates. There is no shade, it gets very hot so bring lots of water and a hat. They take cash ONLY. Each person has to have a container in order to enter the blueberry picking field. Parking is easy, just dirt lot next to the farm.

To know especially that these are rescued animals and are being taken care of so carefully, giving us the privilege of being able to give them our love as well, it was a heartwarming experience. Plenty of free parking available right infront of the sanctuary. There is a cute little shop attached to the sanctuary, where you can buy their handmade truffle chocolates which are so delicious (coming from someone who isn't a fan of truffle chocolates), fresh farm eggs, honey, and other delicacies. With your zoo "ticket" you get 2 free samples of their chocolates and a hefty bag of feed for the animals. The animals are mostly in their own pens, with some together. There's even a couple of the pigs you'll find out of pens, just hanging out on the property, laying beside the building. You're able to go into the tortoise pen and feed/pet him as well, 2 people at a time inside the pen, as he does get anxious. You're not able to feed all of the animals, but for the most part you can. Each pen has a sign for which animals are ok to feed/pet and which are not. They are very calm and friendly, as long as you are too. They take the feed very gently and don't bite your fingers. On the weekends they offer pizza made fresh for the visitors, and have plenty of covered outdoor seating options to enjoy. They also offer wine tasting, but we did not partake, as we had just left a winery, but I'm sure it is quite enjoyable as well. Definitely a must stop if you're in the area and it's a 5 minute drive from the wineries!

One of the Alpacas is hysterical, absolutely LOVED him/her, with the goofiest teeth. They all take the treats so nicely and have soft mouths. I got to pet a Zebra (oh yeah, we don't have one of those either). The zebra is so cool and lives in a corral with a Zorse- such a fun experience. When in season, they have Emu eggs available.
