This place is a super fun, relaxing, social distancing activity to do on the weekend. I went sometime in July and it wasn't super packed. They required masks and it seemed like everyone was being respectful. They have different sized containers that you can choose from for the blue berry picking! My bf and I ended up getting the md size for $10. The sm was $5 and lg was $20. The person at the front helped to explain what a ripe blueberry looks like so that was really informative! She also explained if you like more tart blueberries, get the ones that are less dark blue. The medium size was definitely enough for two people to work on filling up!! It took us like 30-40 minutes to fill up our container. It was really fun trying to find and 'harvest' them. It felt like a scavenger hunt to me, and finding the ripe blueberries was like the treasure! There's plenty of rows to look through, and we barely encountered another group of people as we were filling up our box. We ate our berries when we got back home and we couldn't stop munching on them.. we finished it in less than a day! Overall, a really fun activity! What an incredible magical place! I know that sounds a bit trite but after being holed-in and shut-in from COVID-19, it was so nice to come out, get some fresh sunshine, fresh air, and pick some berries! This place is a huge farm filled with blueberry bushes all chock full of sweet, juicy, ripe berries. For your choice of $5, $10, or $20 (S, M, or L) you get to go out in the field and pick your own fruit. The personnel there are pretty nice and they'll show you how to tell which ones are ripe and how to gently handle the bushes so as not to hurt the plant when picking. Most people do their picking in the first few rows of berries, so they tend to be picked pretty dry. Some get frustrated with the pickings in the early rows--but the trick is to go DEEP into the field where there are just clusters and clusters of berries. Its an awesome fun activity that lets you get out of the house, social distance accordingly, and get some sun. read more

Came on Mother's Day last weekend for the prepicked blueberries but we were too late. Arrived around 11am and was told they were all gone. Ended up just buying 2 loaves of the blueberry bread and a jar of the jam. My daughter and I didn't have time to pick, as we had a day planned in San Diego. Return visit today 5.16.2020 and I was afraid there wouldn't be enough ripe ones. We arrived before 11am this time and parked right by the entrance near the port-a-potties. Got lucky because there was a spot left, and cars were still coming in. There's a whole row to the right when you drive down the hill but that's usually packed. There is no entrance/admission fee. You just walk up to one of the stands and pay by check or cash only. I believe the prices are $5 for a small container, $10 for medium and $20 for the large. I got 2 mediums so my daughter could have her own. They equal the large anyway. When we started, there wasn't a lot to choose from and most of the berries were still tiny and green. The further back into the fields we went, we hit the jackpot! So many plump, fat ones in the very back rows!! It was our first time and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed herself and said she was "living her best blueberry picking life!" She sure was and did better than me, lol! Social distancing during this rona wasn't a problem, as there are many rows to pick from. Space out and you should be fine. This farm is by far one of my favorites!!! My husband and I came here because we heard such great things and boy did this place live up to the hype!! When you first pull up, the farm seems like it might be small, but once you go inside it's definitely bigger then it looks. You pay for your container at the front, and the girl who was selling them was really friendly, she asked if we had ever been to the farm before, and then gave us advice on the best places to find the blueberries. Once you walk inside, you see so many bushes!!! And they are all at different stages, some look like they just got planted and some are taller then me! My husband and I had a blast hunting threw the bushes trying to find the most ripe blueberries. We filled up 2 containers and if it wasn't so hot, we would have kept going!! They don't really have anyplace to eat, no tables or anything so if your planing on bringing a lunch, be prepared to eat in your car. They do have a small store up front that sells honey and the most delicious blueberry bread! My husband and I got 3 and ate one in about 15min. It is so moist and full of blueberries!!! The blueberries that we picked didn't last long either. They are so sweet that you can just eat them by the handful! This is a very cute farm that has some of the nicest staff I have ever met at a farm. Everyone is so friendly!!! Living in Temecula provided opportunities to explore the local farms, produce, farmers market and even the "pick your own" fruits and veggies. With that said, as soon as Temecula Berry Co, opened for berry picking season, I literally would be first in line for about 6 seasons. I always went to the back of the field, to get the plumpest, juiciest, most delicious berries that went into my blueberry muffins, pancakes, waffles, bread, shakes, jams & jelly & compotes. I picked berries every weekend all season. Some suggestions for picking: If you take little ones, go early when its cool, Temecula gets warm in the afternoon, hats help. Little ones wont pick as much, but will have absolute grand time, if you have older kids they will like it. Your bucket will get filled fast and it is fun for the whole family. I would take Mini-Me on some weekends if she wanted to go. But most times, I went by myself and spend a couple of hours, I also brought a water bottle with me, it's thirsty work. I stocked my freezer up on berries to last through to the next season. How I saved my berries- I would take them home, fill my sink with cool water and dump them in, then with a small strainer I would pull a few out at a time and place them on a white flour sack cloth ( I had a lot of these since they do absorb a lot of water), slowly pick the stems and brown bits of the stem from them and gently dry them of ALL water. Then place them on a flour sack lines jelly roll pan for final air dry. When dried completely, I placed two cups of berries in quart freezer bags and lay flat in my freezer, they froze without sticking together. read more

Great out door activity while keeping social distance. After staying home for over two months, we can't wait to go out when the government announced to slowly opening up the society. We took advantage of the opening and went to Temecula Berry Farm to get some out door activities while still staying safe. This farm is not too far a drive from LA. It took us only an hour to get to this place. The farm has safety in place to protect the visitors. All their workers there wore masks and provided hand washing station at the exit. The Farm also provided free parking with plenty of spaces. Since the farm is very big, we were able to keep our distance from other visitors. For picking the blue berries, the farm charged $5 for a small basket and $10 for a larger one. We were so excited for our first outing since the lock down. Seeing so many lie berries hanging from the short trees, we didn't know where to begin as we picked whatever came into our views first. We ended up picking a lot of raw ones. At the end, we learned that we have to look under trees to pick the deep blue ripe berries. But who cares, we were just thrilled to get out of the house. We did brought back a full bucket of blue berries for our breakfast the next day. read more

We went blueberry picking around the third week of May and there were a lot of blueberries and a lot of bushes, so it never was too crowded in the rows. One thing that stood out to me was how clean they kept the place and the staff was all great. They had porta potties at the entrance and they continually made sure to keep them clean and made sure the hand washing station was stocked, so props to them for having the best serviced porta potties I've ever seen. I thought the prices were also reasonable, they might sound pricey if you're used to buying blueberries from the grocery store, but added that you get to pick out your own blueberries and these are way better than grocery store blueberries, the price is worth it. The blueberries are delicious and I know that I'm going to come back every season, so I'm so glad I found out about them. read more

Perfect day out with toddlers and little kids! We had a great time looking for blueberries outdoors, with a goal in mind. We were greeted by a friendly face at the front, purchased a small container to fill & were off. The bushes had been picked over pretty well, but it made the hunt that much more fun. It took us about one hour to fill up the small container & then we were off to see the chickens, goats & enjoy a snow cone. There is a little store where the farm sells their own items, which is a nice touch. Bring your sunscreen, water bottles & hats! It gets really hot & you will want water. The blueberry farm is nicely maintained and is a fun place for kids. We've been coming for years. This year, my husband and I brought our two daughters to pick, and they said each person on the farm needs to purchase a picking box to enter. I think that is asking too much, and this was not a rule in the past. We don't need $24 worth of berries. I'm saddened that they are now a money-grubbing institution, and care more about the bottom line than creating a great experience for everyone involved. Can I spare an extra $6? Sure. But it's about the principle of treating your customers with respect and dignity and caring more about serving others than your bottom line. read more

We had a great experience at the berry farm. The prices were more than reasonable and my toddler enjoyed running through the fields and picking fresh blueberries right from the bushes. They also have an assortment of breads and jams that your can purchase by the entrance. My son absolutely loved the bread. Rude. Would never support a business that is so rude right off that bat. I was taken back by the cost and charging each person even if they aren't picking. When I asked if I could pay for my 3 kids buckets that I didn't want to pick they immediately got nasty and started telling me that I could just leave if I didn't like it. She's abrupt and has zero people skills. I don't know why I was met with so much hostility. If the employee would have just explained kindly I would have supported them like we have in the past but instead we left. I won't support mean people who are only worried about making a buck. Farmer Mike just shrugged when I brought this to his attention. This must just be normal for them. I was beyond shocked. This sweet little spot has not only lost its charm but clearly the heart is gone too..So sad that my family will take this tradition off our summer list, I can't and will not support unkind people. We have been picking blueberries here for 12 years. We normally come multiple times in one season to pick as well as purchase the blueberry bread or jam on the side. I love supporting this small business and I support them. That said, we wanted one large blueberry container for our family of four ($20) and were told we had to purchase four containers (we chose four small - $24) as each of our family members were above the age of five. I guess I can sort of understand it from a business perspective, but it kind of soured the experience for me. The woman who told us this was not very kind. I felt like there were so many ways she could have said it and the way in which it was delivered was not it. I didn't notice any signage and hadn't experienced this previously- when I asked "why?", she didn't even answer, but just stared at us. Insisting on getting an extra $4 from us when we went ahead and purchased $12+ of extras (bread and jam) before leaving anyway, rubbed me the wrong way. I could maybe get behind charging a very nominal admission fee if you're not picking, but to force large families to each buy a $6 container just doesn't sit well with me. As a twenty five year resident of Temecula, I genuinely want to support this business. Heck, we were out there picking blueberries when the farm reopened after CA was shut down- with masks on and the implementation of the "pay first" and new cardboard containers, willing to follow the farm's new policies. I love what they stand for and behind- we share the same values. But to know I cannot even send my children with their babysitting grandparents to enjoy an annual tradition (without forcing my elderly diabetic grandparents to purchase $12 in berries) is a deal breaker for me. I think this may be the last year we visit. Bittersweet because I have accumulated thirteen years of annual photos with each of my children on the red tractor, picking berries, enjoying muffin Mondays and story time as well as feeding the former pigs (RIP), goats and chickens. Thank you, Farmer Mike and family, for the memories. Hoping you reconsider the entrance requirement and consider a nominal fee for non U-pickers in the future. ETA: Nowhere did I say we had a lousy time. I clearly stated that I appreciate this local business and its contribution to the community. I think it's "lousy" to require a family of four to pay $25 just to enter and the woman's tone threw me off. We missed last season with the new pricing. And we obviously did not notice any literature regarding this change in the annual emails OR posted on the farm. I think we're just priced out. Didn't appreciate the tone in the reply either - yikes! Picking blueberries in Southern California? Yes!! I was surprised at the number of cars when we arrived at 9 and even more surprised at the row of cars coming in when we left at 11. The crowd was perfectly managed by a team of polite young people, directing parking, giving instructions to newbies, and packing your pickens on your way out. Even with the packed parking lot, the grove was large enough that it didn't feel crowded at all once you're in the grove. Despite coming at the end of the Memorial Day weekend, we had no problems picking all the delicious blueberries we wanted. Picking the berries was surprisingly fun - A little bit of treasury hunting, looking for overlooked clusters tucked just out of plain sight. I guess because this is as fresh as it gets, the berries are firm, yet sweet, not like the sometimes mushy variety you get with the store bought variety. After the hard work, they were grilling bacon on a stick. The bacon was extra thick and meaty and probably drenched with honey. It was so good we got seconds. They also had an entertainer for the kids. Before the season ends, i strongly recommend a visit. This was a great family activity, enjoyed by kids and grownups alike. read more

You fill your container as much as it can fit. What a great place to take your family and with the amount of people there today on day 1 of opening there was sure a lot of room for social distancing. Mask and gloves were optional. Definitely hard to feel the blueberries with gloves but as long as you get the dark purple ones then you are all good. Also great place for photo ops too! They do have chickens and a couple of goats you can look at as well. Definitely plenty to pick from with the massive field they have. Would recommend this place and for the amount of blueberries you pick and what you pay for is worth it in my eyes. Depending on where you buy them from. Overall what a wonderful experience. Went and picked blueberries today!!. The Farm is awesome. Arrived at about 10. Make sure you get here early because it gets hot out! Asked where the best berries were hidden and went straight there. I am not telling Yelp. Lol. The staff here is always so friendly and helpful. You need to go find them for yourself. This is probably my 4th year coming here. We came here at the beginning of summer to pick some blueberries. It is $6 for a box like two little ones at the store. We bought 6 boxes ($36). There were a lot of bushes in the field. My autistic son didn't know better and kept picking them and shoving them in his mouth even the green blueberries. They said no eating while picking. We had been picking blueberries here for 8 years already, and apart from that, purchasing breads, jams and syrup on the side. we had a lot of memories and photos as my entire family would visit the farm. Even though it is an hour and a half drive we still come back every year. And encourage friends and families to visit this farm. We are even supporting this small family business When they open during the pandemic with mask on and all that, we are still there to enjoy picking berries. Yesterday was an unpleasant experience, specially, with the lady who is in the entrance, long red- blonde hair lady (watch out for her). Upon exiting she told us regarding our cardboard box being filled up more than the required level that we are allowed. It is fine for us that she is actually correcting it because your website says that a mountain above the top of the container isn't okey. But what she did is just to prove that our boxes is mountain above top of the container, she transferred the excess to a new $12 box and filled it up getting the blueberries from the box of the $20 and $12 container that we already purchased. The way she filled it is that the original boxes was now 1/2 inch lower than the suppose level of the box you are allowed to fill with berries,just for her to create a new different box that will amount to $12. So now she charged us a new box of $12. That was really rude, rip off and she rubbed our blueberries and made us pay for it , in which by the way took us 2 1/2 hours to harvest. Come on don't do that, apart from us spending time to harvest the best blueberries, you have to be fair about it. I could literally went inside again and fill each of the previously bought boxes again to get the half inch level in which she took away from our original purchased. I see a lot of people picking your berries and would literally snack on it while resting. I could have done it that way but being a long time customer I am aware that no one is allowed to eat berries while picking. I didn't like her approach and she even took all the blue berries away from me while my mom was getting money in the car, even though I had already paid the 2 boxes prior. Upon entering, you told us there are a lot of huge and very sweet blueberries. But just to let you know besides ripping off your customers, you are giving customers wrong information because yesterday your blueberries are not as sweet, most are sour, a little disappointing because in the past staff would say berries are huge and sweet and it's true. But yesterday you don't have to give false information. Will move on and look for another blueberry farm u pick closer to Orange County where I live. read more
