He said he saw ripe ones on the left. So we went straight there and glad we did because other aisles were either red or empty. It's great for first time experience but I don't see us coming back next year unless there are more activities like food trucks, boutique vendors, blackberry snacks. I appreciate them opening the farm to the public but the heat seems to affect the berries and need more water and maintenance. The farm is beautifully maintained, and there's something special about breathing in the fresh lavender-scented air while wandering through the fields. There are bees, as to be expected (lol), but that's something to keep in mind. They also offer quality lavender products (like soaps, lotions, and oils) that make perfect gifts or personal treats. These can easily be ordered online as well. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Whether you're stopping by for photos, to shop, or simply to enjoy a peaceful afternoon surrounded by blooming lavender, it's a wonderful experience. For the You-Pick Event, admission is $30 per group (As of 06/30/2025), which includes time on the farm and a tube to fill with lavender, no matter the size of your group. Extra tubes are $10. For just $25, you get a bag that you can fill with whatever is in season. During our visit, we picked tangerines, oranges, lemons, and limes, but they have a great variety depending on the time of year. The orchard is huge, and one of my favorite parts was the owner's philosophy: everything you can eat while you're on the property is included. We definitely took advantage of that and enjoyed fresh fruit right off the trees. It doesn't get any fresher than that! The property is beautiful, the parking was easy, and the whole experience was relaxing and family-friendly. We saw plenty of families with strollers, and the walking paths were wide enough to navigate comfortably. Just keep in mind that much of the orchard is on a hillside, so I highly recommend wearing comfortable tennis shoes or closed-toe shoes for better footing and to protect your feet. One tip: their hours are limited (I believe they're only open on Saturdays and Sundays), so I'd recommend arriving early, especially on warmer days. You'll beat the heat, have the best selection of fruit, and enjoy the orchard before it gets busy. This is so much more than just buying fruit--it's an experience. We'll absolutely be bringing our friends and family back because it was such a fun way to spend the day. Immediately, I was helped by a kind Korean lady who gave me a snipping tool and a cart to pull for my grapes. After picking, she weighed and also trimmed any rotten or dirty pieces of fruit, making sure the grapes were aesthetic as they are delicious. $7/lb for a rare treat for myself and my co-workers were well worth the detour. Can't wait to try them after I get home from work. Great experience and I hope others stop by Evergreen Produce's vineyard for grape picking!

Plenty of free parking available right infront of the sanctuary. There is a cute little shop attached to the sanctuary, where you can buy their handmade truffle chocolates which are so delicious (coming from someone who isn't a fan of truffle chocolates), fresh farm eggs, honey, and other delicacies. With your zoo "ticket" you get 2 free samples of their chocolates and a hefty bag of feed for the animals. The animals are mostly in their own pens, with some together. There's even a couple of the pigs you'll find out of pens, just hanging out on the property, laying beside the building. You're able to go into the tortoise pen and feed/pet him as well, 2 people at a time inside the pen, as he does get anxious. You're not able to feed all of the animals, but for the most part you can. Each pen has a sign for which animals are ok to feed/pet and which are not. They are very calm and friendly, as long as you are too. They take the feed very gently and don't bite your fingers. On the weekends they offer pizza made fresh for the visitors, and have plenty of covered outdoor seating options to enjoy. They also offer wine tasting, but we did not partake, as we had just left a winery, but I'm sure it is quite enjoyable as well. Although it is a pretty venue, the communication from their staffing is horrible!!! They don't return phone calls or emails after they get your booking. My husband and I wanted to get involved prior to our son's booking, but our son is 27 yrs old. We thought he's old enough to handle doing business with this venue. Wrong! This venue knows how to up-sale about their property. They know that young brides and grooms are emotional. They capture on that emotion and tells you anything to get the booking. Lisa, the manager couldn't careless after she received the deposit and final payments. I've called and left numerous messages multiple times with the venue staffers that I needed to speak to Lisa. Not once did she ever returned my phone calls. On the day of the wedding, as the mother of the groom, I was served pizza!!! Our son asked about a special menu for vegetarians, pescatarians and vegans. During the sales pitch, their salesperson told our son and his bride that there wasn't any issues making special meals for those guests, me being one of them. Can you believe the nerve of this venue served me pizza on the day of the wedding??? Before the wedding, our son and his bride did the food testing. They were told no one else could come to do the food tasting. Mind you, we were the ones that paid for this venue. Our daughter in law forwarded me an email from the venue, by their chef, that no one else could come to the food tasting. Anyhow, not only myself was given pizza, our other 2 guests were also served pizza. Mind you, there were only 3 guests total that had a special dietary restriction. I was so embarrassed and horrified. I had to tell my aunt and the bride's grandmother weren't notified ahead that the venue was serving individual pizzas to dietary guests. The venue could at least offered some sort of vegetables or couscous, but nope, nothing!!!!! I can give you a very long list, but I'll only give 3. Number 1: Food wasn't cracked up to be. Even their regular menu like the basic of chicken and red meat, was real bad. Number 2: We paid for a Photo Booth thru the venue. The photo booth folks never showed up. Although the venue refunded the money, but all was lost of having our guests take pictures for memories are long gone. Luckily we paid for good photographers (like 4 photographers+videographers). They were able to capture some moments of our families and guests. Number 3: We had wedding crashers! The venue told our son they will have 3 security guards on the wedding dat. We saw none, not only 1 insight. These wedding crashers had the gall to eat cakes, ordered alcohol at the bar and joined our guests on the dance floor!!! Mind you we paid for a premium package which included open bars. Our daughter in law contacted the venue to let them know about all these issues, they didn't offered any compensation or some sort of refunds accept for the photo booth that never showed up. We have 2 other children. We'll never use this venue going forward. We told all of our friends about this venue. A lot of them were at the wedding, so they too know not to book this venue for their own children's weddings. This venue isn't worth mentioning their names. Lake Oak Meadows is pretty but not worth your money to book. There's plenty of beautiful venues around. So please, please ask questions, do comparison before booking. Don't let them tell you that they've a special going on and if you don't book right then and there that you'll loose the deal. It's not worth your money!
