SHORT VERSION: Wilson Creek Manor is an Avantstay property. "Unparalleled service" is supposedly one of their hallmarks but all I got was very poor service. Oh, and by the way, the previous owner MURDERED someone on this property. LONG VERSION: Booked Wilson Creek Manor directly through Avantstay's website but the day before check-in I got an email saying they had to cancel my reservation because of a broken water heater. Why wouldn't you CALL instead of just emailing? My reservation was less than 2 days away, call and leave a voicemail. I called Avantstay immediately after I saw the email and the call gets routed to some overseas call center. The person can't help and says they'll reach out to the dept that handles this and I should hear back within the hour. 1.5 hours later I still haven't received a callback so I call again. Same response, said I should hear back in an hour. 1.5 hours later, still no call, I call again, now they say I should receive a call by 5pm (5.5 hours later). My check-in date is the NEXT DAY! 5pm might be too late because what if they don't call me back and everyone goes home for the day? Then they change their answer to someone will call back in an hour. But I've heard that one before. FINALLY someone who can help calls back and finds me a replacement property. After we hangup I discover a hiccup. One of the families staying with us was planning to bring their dog they noticed that the new property doesn't allow pets. We paid a pet deposit so this is something that Avantstay should've caught and pointed out. That family had to find a last minute accommodation for their dog so that was another added inconvenience. Another hiccup: I was told I'd receive check-in instructions the next morning. On the way to the property my wife asks for the details of how to get inside the property so she could send it to the other families. Realized I didn't receive those details. Had to call Avantstay once again. Another inconvenience. This is all BEFORE we even stepped foot onto the property. While on the property we discovered someone was MURDERED in that house. This spooked everyone and no one was able to sleep well. It was super huge and beautiful inside. It was a fun place to have family and friends all fit for a 50th birthday celebration.

This paradise within paradise is incredible! The bridal suite is set up perfectly for the entire bridal party to get ready for a wedding! The bride has her own oasis while all the bride maid each have a Hollywood inspired vanity area to do hair and makeup. The groomsmen and groom can get prepared in the large game rooms downstairs. All the while there's and entire mansion of free space for loved ones to come and go as they help move wedding decorations in and out of the house and to the beautiful Wilson Creek Winery across the street. It was 106 degrees the day of the wedding so we didn't take full advantage of the backyard but it was jaw dropping gorgeous. If you are looking at getting married at Wilson Creek Winery, you MUST look at staying at this incredible mansion as well!!!! read more

A great place to gather. Very well laid out floor plan and the common spaces were so spacious.

Spacious and well centered in Wine Country. Place has all the amenities you could need. If you want it catered it is an option. There is a full kitchen, but utensils are hit and miss. Tiny bit of TLC would put this place in a higher rating. Note. We did have a family member get hurt b/c the concrete chairs were greatly corroded. Spent last Saturday night at the Manor, what a treat! Abby T. and staff couldn't have been more gracious and helpful. Each room so unique and inviting, the evening happy hour with food and wine really set the tone for a nice social event. We will be back when we can spend several nights and take advantage of the entire property and the discounts provided. Hopefully bringing family and renting the entire house. No matter what I go to Temecula for this place ends up becoming a destination. There is usually a nice crowd and friendly bartenders/servers. I try to go at least once each season but I especially recommend going around Christmas time. The tasting is reasonably priced (for a generous amount usually) and there is a good selection. The almond champagne is a must! Parking can sometimes be crazy so I usually just park somewhere else and Uber/Lyft to the winery. read more

This place is by far the best bang for your buck if you're looking to enjoy a few days of luxury and to be pampered! Abby, the manager, is the BEST! She was extremely attentive and caring to my wife and I during our stay and made sure we took full advantage of everything the manor had to offer! When we first arrived Abby greeted us by name and glasses of champagne. She gave us a full tour of the place and showed us to our room. She served us cheese, crackers, and wine at 5pm that evening and offered recommendations on places for dinner. After the snacking, we enjoyed the game room with a few games of foozball and ping-pong in the game room. The next morning we awoke to find an amazing spread of fruits and muffins accompanied with mimosas for breakfast while enjoying the amazing views of the hot air balloons taking off from the vineyard across the street. Abby gave us vouchers for lunch and wine tasting at the sister vineyard directly across the street but unfortunately our time-line didn't allow for further indulgence. This 12,000 square foot manor is gorgeous and the oversized rooms are extremely comfy. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a romantic getaway with your better half. I have sat on this review for quit a while. We were the first to rent this manor long term. We had family from out of state and made this a destination wedding weekend. The house is gorgeous, spacious and more than enough room for both our families! When you rent the whole house you are undisturbed but can call if you need anything! The house however could use more TLC. My mother was injured the first day there because of corroded outdoor furniture that crumbled. (The response time was really quick) There was garbage behind the foyer buffet, under the beds needs cleaned as food was found under there, one dishwasher did not work as well as half the stove. (20 people were staying there, we needed the whole stove). Abbey was accommodating, however was not very trusting of us through the whole process. She made a point to tell us every chance she had (v/m, email and in person) "no amplified music" it got a bit condescending. I believe she thought we were a couple of frat boys rather than the professionals we are. When we returned the keys, the cleaning crew (there In full force) were surprised we cleaned the entire house! That's our southern hospitality... Manor was an opulent yet warm getaway for our 30th wedding anniversary. Abby and Jiel are just the best. They welcomed us and quickly got us comfortably in our room. Which they had changed to the bridal suite which was an experience for us having eloped To Vegas. The wine and cheese at 5:00-6:30 was a cool meet of the other guests ranging from high powered educators from down the street from our home to Brentwood celebrities. Everyone wss fantastic. Dear Abby, No offense, Mr Wilson, but my wife and I affectionately renamed your facility Abby Manor. How they can make a !Gianormous Mansion! seem so homely and comfortable is beyond me. The driveway is awe-inspiring and the grand entrance is breathtaking, we agree with one of the other posts that we almost don't want to Yelp this one because we would dont want to share this hidden gem with anyone else so when we book we have the run of the Manor and would just prefer to keep it that way and leave this place our little secret but here we are Yelping our little hearts out. We had the best time celebrating my wife's birthday! It's a relief that we no longer have to search all over Temecula when we are going to Wine Country because we found our place. We have stayed at a handful of places down there but Wilson Creek Manor blows them all out of the water. Facility is beautiful the staff is great and keeps the place immaculate and Abby is the best hostess. There is almost no need to even leave the house because of the breakfast and Manor Sunrises, game room, pool, jacuzzi, and evening wine tastings and appetizers. We will be back often and soon. My wife and I came here with friends on a travelzoo coupon and had a great time. We will be back. It's a large home with 9 rooms. They have a wine and cheese hour, free of charge. The grounds are nice and it is right across the street from the winery. The only negative is they cannot offer late checkout. And the heater stays on all night because the door to the outside lets in all the cold air. Not a big deal. We'll be back for sure. read more

My family that stayed at the Manor with us during our wedding weekend were absolutely blown away by their accommodations, and the property as a whole. We were lucky enough to share this venue with some of our guests for our post wedding brunch, which was catered by Wilson Creek. Wow. Wow. Wow! I recently stayed at Wilson Creek Manor for a quick girls getaway. Blown away! Just from the initial email correspondence in making our reservation, I knew I would love this place. And I was right. Abby is so kind and seemed genuinely happy to welcome us to the manor for our upcoming stay. She offered help & suggestions on a variety of things. The real star here is definitely the staff - every last one of them. They truly make you feel as if you are guests in their home. Our wine glasses were never empty from the time we stepped foot in the manor. We felt we got our money's worth and then some. The grounds are immaculate. Check-in process was a breeze, their spread for the afternoon wine and cheese hour was over the top. A great opportunity to chat & mingle with the other guests if you want. When some of us girls were potentially going to miss it since we were still freshening up, they DELIVERED WINE TO OUR ROOM. Um, hello?! How is that for service? They put out fresh coffee in the morning (in addition to the coffee available in room) which was enthusiastically welcomed after an evening of drinking. The breakfast provided was also a wonderful variety of both cold and hot foods. The rumpus room looked like a great place to hang out, as did the pool/jacuzzi area. My husband and I rented out the whole manor for our wedding party/ parents to stay for our wedding weekend Friday thru Monday morning. I almost regretted renting out the place thinking I was going too over board but it was worth every penny. I had my whole bridal party stay here, rehearsal dinner Friday in the back yard, getting ready in the beautiful bridal suite with my bridesmaid Saturday morning, and had a pool party the next Sunday. I for Married at a venue maybe a mile away which was so nice. Everything about this place was beautiful and having everyone under one roof was just great .everything was included for cooking, table ware and linens we just provided the food. Kitchen is huge game room was nice for the kids and back yard felt like home.Each room is like a little suite which was great. All our guest raved about the manor. My wife and I recently spent an evening here after a day of wine tasting. I am reluctant to give a such a high rating - as it will undoubtedly make it more difficult for me next time I go to book a room here. However, our stay here was outstanding. The facility is awesome. The rooms are great. The "manor" is impeccably decorated and appointed - complete with pool, sauna, pool table, game room, etc, etc, etc. It was great for our purpose (somewhere to stay after a day in the Temecula Valley), but would be even better to come back with friends and family and rent the whole place out. (It would be a great place for a wedding. The bridal suite has an attached "salon"......). The service was wonderful. Our hostess - Abby was professional and very conscientious. She took the time to ask for feedback in order to cater to the needs of future guests. She is very personable - we thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast with her. The winery was great. My family and I are all experiencing manor-withdrawal after our long weekend there in June. It is REALLY hard to return home after just a few days in this enchanting place. We did a full manor rental for the weekend of my wedding, and people are still talking about what a wonderful time they had. There is, literally, no reason to leave at all. All my Wife Judy and I (Nick) can say is WOW! Abbey the Manager is the most friendly and gracious host we have had the extreme pleasure of meeting. Abbey met us at the Front Door and poured us a glass of Champagne. The entire staff from Abbey, Marsha and others were truly OUTSTANDING. They took care of all of our needs and the staff was friendly, professional and efficient. If there was one place you could only choose while in the area, it would be hands down the Wilson Creek Manor. The rooms are clean, spacious and carry the extra's you would expect from a 5 star hotel. We additionally had the privilege of attending the "Wine Maker For The Day". All I can say is within 24 hours, we were given the total experience from picking the grapes, through the science of the chemistry of the soil, yeast, fermentation process, it was such an invaluable learning experience. Greg who taught us the correct way to pick the grapes and later we were give a class on the proper growing and nurturing of the soil and chemistry in order to make the outstanding wine that Wilson Creek is known for. The next day we met Gus who taught us about the fermentation process and preparing the wine for it's final stage and prior to the bottling process. Oh, forgot to mention the wine tastings to understand the different stages that the Wine goes through. The one factor that amazed me of both Greg and Gus is their true enthusiasm for the jobs they each do. This is the perfect spot for a Restful weekend, Romantic Getaway or Wedding! The grounds are beautiful, clean and spacious. Jeff was our dining host and was attentive to our every needs. The BBQ we attended later in the evening consisted of NY Strip steak, BBQ Ribs, Corn, Salad and Hot Apple Cobbler for desert. Absolutely the best!!! I cannot express in words the extreme pleasure my Wife and I had and how we now want the Wilson Creek Manor to be our stay each Anniversary year. We got an excellent deal on Travel Zoo to stay here. It was also our Wedding Anniversary and my Birthday. What a great choice it was. Don't really want to Yelp it, as it's such an amazing place I don't want to share it with the rest of the world! Your stay includes Wine and cheese at 5pm and a continental breakfast in the morning. We had the most amazing stay at Wilson Creek Manor. Abby makes you feel that you are a very special friend that she has to ensure is having the best time you possibly could. The place is amazing. Games room with pool table, table tennis and Foosball. Huge seating area in the open plan living room. Beautiful grounds with outdoor patio seating in abundance, pool and BBQ. Only 12 bedrooms, (I think?) you don't even feel the need to lock your bedroom door. Every room is different and oh did I mention the cheese and abundance of wine!!!! We had a couples massage yesterday which Abby booked for us and the masseuses were really good. I love this place! Casual, comfortable elegance. Great service. Super friendly. The wine and cheese reception in the evening is a must as you will actually talk to the other guests. As there are nine rooms, you can get to know your neighbors at the reception. It was like being at a party at a friend's house. The bed was very comfortable and I slept great. Came here for a friend's wedding who reserved the manor for us along with some other friends/relatives. Very nice place! It's huge! It's got to be at least 10,000 square feet. There's some amazing suites throughout the manor. Decor is a little sparse but I guess it caters to the different people that reserve it... You wouldn't want it to be too clutter filled. It was extremely convenient as our friend was getting married across the street at the winery. Beautiful place, so serene! Didn't get to try out the pool but our visit was short. Jacuzzi tubs/showers are right in the bedrooms. We had a tv in our room... I didn't really peek into the other guests' rooms to see if they had TVs too but I'm assuming they did. You can hear the other guests pretty easily... Just like a regular house so you definitely want to keep it quiet! read more

My daughter and I stayed at the Manor for a night while wine tasting in the area, and had a wonderful experience! We were greeted by Sherri with a glass of champagne, and she gave us a tour of the property. She was so friendly, and we felt like family immediately. We stayed in the Merlot room, and it was beautifully decorated and immaculate. After wine tasting at the Wilson Creek Winery, we returned for the wine and cheese hour. The spread was amazing, and no shortage of great wine! We met Abby, and she was very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the jacuzzi in the evening, and found the beds very comfortable. The next morning we saw the hot air balloons from our balcony, then went down to the kitchen where Abby greeted us with a great spread of pastries, fruit, coffee and, of course, mimosas! We asked Abby about the history of the property, and she brought out a book with the photos of the home prior to the renovation done by the Wilson family. It gave us even more appreciation for the beauty and tasteful decor of the property now. This location is a perfect place to stay when you want to enjoy the many wineries in the area.
