SHORT VERSION: Wilson Creek Manor is an Avantstay property…read more "Unparalleled service" is supposedly one of their hallmarks but all I got was very poor service. Oh, and by the way, the previous owner MURDERED someone on this property. LONG VERSION: Booked Wilson Creek Manor directly through Avantstay's website but the day before check-in I got an email saying they had to cancel my reservation because of a broken water heater. Why wouldn't you CALL instead of just emailing? My reservation was less than 2 days away, call and leave a voicemail. I called Avantstay immediately after I saw the email and the call gets routed to some overseas call center. The person can't help and says they'll reach out to the dept that handles this and I should hear back within the hour. 1.5 hours later I still haven't received a callback so I call again. Same response, said I should hear back in an hour. 1.5 hours later, still no call, I call again, now they say I should receive a call by 5pm (5.5 hours later). My check-in date is the NEXT DAY! 5pm might be too late because what if they don't call me back and everyone goes home for the day? Then they change their answer to someone will call back in an hour. But I've heard that one before. FINALLY someone who can help calls back and finds me a replacement property. After we hangup I discover a hiccup. One of the families staying with us was planning to bring their dog they noticed that the new property doesn't allow pets. We paid a pet deposit so this is something that Avantstay should've caught and pointed out. That family had to find a last minute accommodation for their dog so that was another added inconvenience. Another hiccup: I was told I'd receive check-in instructions the next morning. On the way to the property my wife asks for the details of how to get inside the property so she could send it to the other families. Realized I didn't receive those details. Had to call Avantstay once again. Another inconvenience. This is all BEFORE we even stepped foot onto the property. While on the property we discovered someone was MURDERED in that house. This spooked everyone and no one was able to sleep well. Here's the evidence: https://patch.com/california/temecula/murder-victim-alleged-scam-artist-accused-of-stealing-before "Unparalleled service", yeah right. Stay away from Avantstay.

The important thing to note here is that they do a lot of weddings! Towards the beginning they were undergoing a lot of changes within staff and it was difficult initially to contact them or get a response which was extremely frustrating. Once it got closer to our wedding day we got a new coordinator named Tessa and she basically saved my sanity because from that moment on I had no issues and felt so prioritized. Be patient with them in the beginning because you're one of many brides they speak to on a daily basis. Once you're wedding day is actually there, it will be worth every single penny. The food was amazing, the DJ is so good and attentive, our day of coordinator Hayley was also really nice and Victoria made sure to ask me if I needed anything she was there to make it happen. I can't stress enough how incredibly beautiful our wedding was and every single guest told us the pictures of the venue we sent did not do it justice. Also, get the horse carriage it's such a beautiful moment I shared with my dad then with my husband. We saw Tessa the next day when I went to pick up some things we left behind and she asked where we were going for our honeymoon and literally within the hour of us leaving she emailed us so many great ideas and recommendations. Lake Oak Meadows is lucky to have someone like her that is so kind, reassuring, goes above and beyond expectations, and genuinely you can tell she loves what she does. Thank you to everyone who helped create our magical day sorry if I was a stressed wreck initially but you guys definitely delivered and made me look good because like I said I can't plan anything accordingly. To see how great it turned out you guys definitely know how to make everything feel perfect. 12.2.21

Grab a bottle of their Grand Cuvée Reserve if you want something bubbly or my personal favorite the 17 Dolcetto Reserve (an 88point). MMM baked fruit and toasted oak. The property itself feels peaceful the second you arrive. The lake, the oak trees, the open sky -- it all comes together in a way that feels natural and romantic without trying too hard. There's something about being surrounded by rolling hills and water that just makes the moment feel bigger and more meaningful. One of the BEST parts about Lake Oak Meadows is how many perfect little spots there are. You can walk along the lake at sunset, find a quiet corner under the trees, or use the rustic barn and open fields as your backdrop. The light in the evening is especially stunning -- soft, golden, and perfect for photos you'll look back on forever. It doesn't feel crowded or overly formal. It feels calm. Intimate. Like you can take your time and really be in the moment. That's what makes it such a special place to ask such an important question. If you want a proposal setting that's naturally beautiful and unforgettable without feeling staged, Lake Oak Meadows is truly something special. They have options to include many things in their package, so you can really get an all-inclusive day. The bridal Suite was extremely pretty and bright. It had a full bathroom, and chairs and mirrors for getting ready. The Grooms Suite was awesome nice, and had a foosball table. After, we stopped and had a glass of wine under pretty patio area. The wine we tried was very good, and The View just added to the experience. We didn't have much time here, so hope to go back to explore more.

Upon arrival, the property checked one of my requirement boxes: paved parking. I cannot tolerate parking in dirt that removes the shine on my tires and rims. After some confusion, I finally arrived at the correct tasting room for non-members and began my tasting with assistance from Eric, a fine young gentleman who offered to guide me through my journey. He provided the history of the winery and the background of the various wines I sampled. I was not fond of their white wines, but their red wines possessed character, complexity, and depth. The price of the tasting was on the high end, but I enjoyed it all the same. The property is very large, and well-maintained, and also hosts a distillery, somewhat hidden in the form of a speakeasy of sorts. Didn't partake, but intend to return in the future to sample. Overall, I enjoyed my visit and will give some thought to joining their membership. Great views atop the hill, and a mellow vibe. Thank you Eric! Great customer service.

She kept everything on schedule and really made the day of our wedding as stress-free as possible. The floral and design teams did a great job taking my Pinterest board and making it come to life. I will note they missed a few minor details, like forgetting to top my cake with flowers, but given there was so much to do, I was not upset by that. The catering was fine as far as wedding food goes. We loved the pianist and late-night tacos, and the DJ was very nice. We also went with one of their included photography studios (LMP). We loved the photos, and we just paid extra for more photos and to get a videography team as well. Overall, the venue as a whole was gorgeous, and the staff members were all very nice and professional. Unlike some of the other venues we toured, VDA is just a wedding venue, so they have the process down pat. They are efficient and know how to cater weddings to your taste. Also, you get the venue to yourself on your special day, so it is very private. If you are looking for a lovely family-owned wedding venue in Temecula, this is definitely the place for you.

Visiting wineries is a fun way to spend a Sunday in Temecula, yet the only down side is that the majority of wineries close at 5pm. The Peltzer, however, is open a bit later and usually till 7pm. I have a very nice time here. The two wines I tried here were very good. The service was friendly and welcoming. I happened to love the vibe and decor here a bit more as it was not all restaurant orientated. I did not get my food until 7:05pm. Two employees were running the food truck and only one was working on the orders. By the time my food was handed to me it was past the time to go. Post ordering I was given a buzzer and was told to stay near because if it went off and I wasn't close it might not buzz. All of my friends were in the member area of the winery so I opted to stay near the food truck. I did ask about my order, I asked for it to just be cancelled but was told that it was being worked on; one hour later I finally received the smallest most bare carne asada nachos and a small quesadilla.
