What a fantastic place to enjoy my picnic of the day time! This rose garden was in my list of things to visit in wonderful Temecula and today I had to go for work there and this was only 12 minutes away! It was much more impressive and curated that I was expecting, considering that is all volunteered sustained and managed. Such a wonderful and joyful landscape. I was expecting more fragrant type of roses and more plumpy gorgeous ones but, hey, free entrance (donations welcomed) and impeccable landscaping, mini gardens and spaces, including a cool leaf shape bench and meditation labyrinth. I enjoyed my very Mediterranean diet lunch in this place under a tree talking a bit with a couple of volunteers. I have heard of this place a few times before but never made it over. I decided to take a detour over here on my way to the balloon festival, Parking areas are small, so if you go at a busy time you might have to get creative with where to park. I also did not see a restroom so keep that in mind. The garden is free, but they do accept donations. There was a little pond, with nice vegetation and I saw 1 turtle and 2 fish. There is a labyrinth and some pathways leading up the hill to some of the other nice areas. There are plenty of different flowers, cacti, trees, and other flora to check out. There are some shady spots and benches, and a picnic area. There was a gazebo area, a shed and matching little library. I saw a few volunteers cleaning up the garden area and the pollinator area. I did not see anyone taking photos, but I have heard it is a good spot for photo opportunities. read more

I really love this little garden. It's right down the road from my home so it's super easy to get to and it's tucked away off the main road. It's private and quaint. The grounds are beautiful, it's a lovely little place to stop to take pictures and relax. My daughter and her friends took their Homecoming pictures there and they turned out so beautiful. The best time to go is during golden hour when the lighting is just right. If you get a chance check out this little piece of beauty in our pretty little town. read more

Great weekend event learning about decomposting and admiring the greenery! Came with my son, so there was a lot of information to take back and try to incorporate into our routine. When we are going back to home, I discovered this garden, free, accepting donations, so peaceful with two free little libraries, so take a book to exchange with them. This little garden is beautiful. My mom had mentioned that she wanted to see the lovely roses here. It took a bit of driving, but I'm so glad we found it. This pretty spot has a nice covered area for a picnic, plenty of pathways to walk, a cute gazebo, and an adorable pond. There's also great benches to stop and relax. Nice place. People there very friendly. We went to take bridal party photos here after our wedding. A sweet lady saw us and picked some roses for us to hold for the photos. The place is pretty chill. There is a little round stage area that was great for photos. There were also picnic tables, benches and gazebos to relax and also nice for photos. Cute place! read more

Accessibility and experience: beautiful, quiet, rose garden in Temecula, CA. On summer days it is very hot here so make sure you bring a sunhat, sunblock and sun glasses! There is really no shade here but it is a pretty place to take photos. It is free to enter but there is a box where you can leave a donation if you would like. The ground is solid dirt, nothing inside here really paved except the parking lot, so it's not the best for wheelchairs. read more

Luckily, my husband and I came across this garden online and made a note to stop by. I am glad we made it as it was a beautiful and well-laid out garden. The garden is free to visit, but you can make donations in a wooden box. There is a small parking lot and a few shaded areas to sit. We saw some people taking senior or class photos and the website says photographers are welcome. The gardens are well-kept with varieties of roses (of course), succulents and other blooms. There is a section of old English roses and the entire place is fragrant and alive! There were lizards everywhere, bees buzzing around as well as rabbits scurrying in the hedges. Such a well-cared for garden with a positive vibe. I recall going to a Botanical Garden in P.V. a few years ago that was just sad and not very pretty; Rose Haven was the exact opposite as it was lively and charming! This appears to be a Temecula non-profit associated with the American Rose Society. One day my cousin and I were looking for somewhere beautiful to take our two infant sons to get some fresh air. I had hear of Rose haven through an ex boyfriend of mine and had never been before. So we googled it and decided to check it out. Upon arrival, my first thought was WOW! So many beautiful flowers everywhere and so well kept. It's quite large and we didn't even see all of it. Given we did have to stop often to feed our sons, growing boys lol. Who even for as young as they were seemed to enjoy the fresh air and pretty colors. We found a small pond with a bench next to it that was so relaxing and great for a quick feeding. We only saw one volunteer working in the garden during our visit. She was a sweet senior woman who we talked to for a bit and I'm very sad i didn't get her name. I love this cute little place. I went there with my daughter and grandkids and we had such a relaxing time. The food was great the people were (ok) but I still give them 5 stars because the gardens were just gorgeous and the little shop was adorable. Plants were the right price (shop local please) we went during the first part of covid and everybody was doing their best. I will upload pictures later. The goats were hiding which was funny. Definitely a magical place to visit. read more
