I'm not sure it's exactly like riding a bike--but Karen made me feel completely at ease from the start. Kiwi, my horse, was incredibly patient and gentle with me. I swear she knew I needed a little extra TLC! It made the whole experience so enjoyable and stress-free. I even got to do a tiny bit of trotting, which was such a fun bonus. And by gold standard I mean it is the way God intended it to be and the way humans were created to live. We have the family membership: my wife and 3 kids, ages ranging from 10 months old to 5 years old and we visit the farm for fresh air and sunlight every single week. The people and community are friendly, the landscape is green and beautiful, so much beautiful nature. Our visit to the farm has become a routine for our whole family, a sort of decompression from the stresses of everyday life. The kids absolutely love it, the hours fly by when we're there but the minutes move slowly in the most relaxing way. The seasonal fruit and vegetable pickings is a definite plus as well, (the kids love going and picking blackberries and cherry tomatoes when they're available!).
