Blue Barn Lavender Farm is truly a beauty. The fields are absolutely stunning, rows upon rows of vibrant purple lavender that look gorgeous against the sunlit hillside. The vibrant color and soothing scent are instantly relaxing. So many soothing benefits. The farm is beautifully maintained, and there's something special about breathing in the fresh lavender-scented air while wandering through the fields. There are bees, as to be expected (lol), but that's something to keep in mind. They also offer quality lavender products (like soaps, lotions, and oils) that make perfect gifts or personal treats. These can easily be ordered online as well. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Whether you're stopping by for photos, to shop, or simply to enjoy a peaceful afternoon surrounded by blooming lavender, it's a wonderful experience. For the You-Pick Event, admission is $30 per group (As of 06/30/2025), which includes time on the farm and a tube to fill with lavender, no matter the size of your group. Extra tubes are $10. If you don't want to pick, you can use your admission toward $30 worth of farm-made lavender products. Either way, it's a win-win. If you missed their You-Pick Event, don't worry, they often extend the dates, like they did this year! Lavender typically blooms from mid-June to mid-July, so be sure to check their website. Use the directions provided on their website; they're simple to follow, and watch for the signage too. Also, note that the road is unpaved in parts, so drive with a bit more caution. read more

On their website they give multiple directions, including one with least amount of dirt roads. I expected it to be off the beaten path, but was worth it. Its the experience I was looking for, not simply just seeking lavender. Overall Loved it, crowd was very low key. Beautiful views, there were picnick tables. For me it was worth the 30 admission for a group, their page literally says "A group is anyone who comes with you 2 or 20," and includes time here on the farm and a tube to use to fill with lavender. I got a decent amount of lavender, looks like 500 or so stems. The young man inside was a fellow USD alumni always cool run into a fellow Torrero. The lavender is organic, so safe make things with. Fun activity. Their shop had lavender soaps, spritz, balms, masks and sachets among options to buy. Came here for the lavender you-pick experience. EXTREMELY remote farm. We headed down the 215 and exited Newport. It was 20 miles in from the freeway. Once we left civilization, the last couple miles was pretty brutal as it was a dirt road. Truck? No problem. SUV? No problem. Jeep? No problem. The water has compromised the dirt road as there are severe indents once you hit the incline. I've visited SO many flower fields (different variety including lavender) and I can confidently say this one is a premature lavender farm. I wish their website had a bloom status. The shrubs weren't tall, full or fragrant. The lavender field is very small. Staged photo ops throughout. Great view! It is a charming venue for a wedding. Convenience are the portable bathroom, scissors for the cutting and the bench areas. GREAT customer service we received from the young guy in the barn: super personable, helpful and professional. If you are in the area, check it out. It was too far for me coming from LA. I should have hit a farmers market and purchased $30 worth of lavender. read more

Found a sign near Temecula about the Blue Barn Lavender farm and their event. It was a 15 minute drive from Temecula so we decided to check it out. The whole farm was on a hilltop with spectacular views! The parking was free. We signed up for the $30 package where we were allowed to go around the lavender farm and hand pick a big bunch of lavenders to take home with us. The farm was so beautiful and the aroma of lavender was amazing! There were cute benches and spots to relax and get some rest, while going around the farm. There were also numerous spots ideal for the perfect instagram photos. It was a very relaxing couple's activity and we had a great time! There was also a treasure hunt challenge that we decided to participate in. We won beautiful magnetic bands on completing the challenge. All in all, I highly recommend checking out this place. This place is breathtaking. It's like a painting on the wall. I hear so much about this business. In my restroom, I see lavender flowers that are from this Barn that my roommate bought. I want to throw them away, but every time I touch them they still smells so fragrant . We have hand soap from there, and it smells amazing. I love washing my hands with it. Yet all summer long I missed each lavender event.... sad face emoji. I was so excited when I looked out the window and I saw umbrellas popped open. I was up really early in the morning and I can hear them doing construction setting up for an event. How cool I'm definitely going down. We share the same mountain . My cousin Judy showed up and we popped in. Unfortunately it was not a lavender event. It was a wedding. Obviously not get an invitation. We didn't wanna disrupt it. Especially because I was not in informal attire. I did manage to sneak a couple pictures without getting involved with the other guests. I knew this place was beautiful. Omg we thought we got lost thank goodness I continued to drive on De Portola Rd until we got there! Please take note of the special instructions on the directions noted on the bottom of the website! Customer service is friendly. For $30 you get to take home a bundle of lavender that'll fit the tube they provide which needs to returned afterwards. Nice sized farm with plenty of lavender to pick. It's not so huge that you'd get lost in or spend all day wandering around but it's actually the right size to spend 2 hrs taking pics and picking lavender. The overall vibe at this farm is very chill and family friendly. Ron was very pleasant and funny. He made our experience very enjoyable. And despite it being a pretty warm July summer day, there was a cool breeze that helped make it not so bad. I am super excited to find this hidden gem. Got the whole family on the go and talked to the owner which seems be nice and inviting. Well see if our vehicle will make it through the gate. Yup it did! Just go slow. We took the longer route from the 15 down and brought a 30' RV. Just go slow. Didn't scrape. What a fun place. It's in the middle of no where. Lots of dirt road and even hard to get to a bit. But really a fun simple family event for all ages. This is a private farm land that only opens for two weeks out of the year. It's such a memorable event for us all. Not to mention a stunning view and nice breeze. Definitely in chill mode amongst a million lavender stems. read more

A true hidden gem! Such a gorgeous place to come and escape the crazy city. My sons and I came to see the fresh lavender and check out the scenery we were not disappointed. Such an amazing experience. The gentleman running the farm was amazing. He checked on us, he was very helpful finding the restroom. We did not gauge the sunlight correctly, and he just let us day past the time - which was very generous. I will definitely go back here next year. I have thought about the experience a few times since, and had such a lovely day with my friends. You get to pick the lavender at the end and there is a bow station that is very quaint and fun. It's a little bit of a drive but worth it! It $30 for a big bundle of lavender. You can also purchase lavender scented items: lip balm, scrubs, lotions etc. They do accept card which is nice. The lemonade stand they have there accepts Venmo and cash, $2 for the most refreshing lemonade. I would only recommend if you go bring sunscreen and a lunch since they have great picnic tables! So cute! Go there if you love taking photos, love smelling lavender or if you simply just need a cute little get away. Its ran by a very friendly couple who make all their goodies that are for sell. They do have these lavender infused cookies that they do not make but the lavender is still from their farm, a local bakery makes them, they are delightful. I took my son and my sister took her daughter and we got adorable photos of them in their photo opt sections. read more

Beautiful lavender fields, gorgeous view of the reservoir, and super friendly and personable owners. My family came to take family photos in the fields. The property is just stunning! One of the owners, Ronn, took the photos while the other owner, Carly, helped us with positioning and wrangling our rambunctious 20 month old. The shoot was a great combo of posed and natural photos, and we had so much fun. We had a blast, and Ronn and Carly were so patient and wonderful chasing our little lady around to photograph. They caught so many good photos, which is amazing given the speed she runs! My daughter found a stink bug in the field and Ronn even managed to get a cute photo of that! We are recommending you to all of our friends and we are looking forward to returning for more photos, or lavender goodies, or maybe for next year's you-pick. read more

The sweetest owners and most beautiful location!! I went picking Lavender on July 4th with my friends, and wow oh wow. We were so impressed! The husband and wife team are so kind! He's got the jokes and she gave us all the best instagram photo tips. The smell of the lavender was incredible and I'm so happy to say it made my kitchen smell wonderful for days. We looked around where they host weddings and WOW the spot overlooking the canyon was beautiful. I would totally get married there. Out of all of the lavender farms you could go to I would ALWAYS recommend this one. Great place to spend an hour or two other than at the wineries. Beautiful setting, fun picking the lavender and lots of lavender products to purchase. Picnic tables available as well.
