Found a sign near Temecula about the Blue Barn Lavender farm and their event. It was a 15 minute drive from Temecula so we decided to check it out. The whole farm was on a hilltop with spectacular views! The parking was free. We signed up for the $30 package where we were allowed to go around the lavender farm and hand pick a big bunch of lavenders to take home with us. The farm was so beautiful and the aroma of lavender was amazing! There were cute benches and spots to relax and get some rest, while going around the farm. There were also numerous spots ideal for the perfect instagram photos. It was a very relaxing couple's activity and we had a great time! There was also a treasure hunt challenge that we decided to participate in. We won beautiful magnetic bands on completing the challenge. All in all, I highly recommend checking out this place. It is a flat $30 fee for a group of people and lavender farm offers so much! It is seasonal so do check it out before end of July! Ideal for a romance activity

I finally got to see the blue barn action

This place is breathtaking. It's like a painting on the wall. I hear so much about this business. In my restroom, I see lavender flowers that are from this Barn that my roommate bought. I want to throw them away, but every time I touch them they still smells so fragrant . We have hand soap from there, and it smells amazing. I love washing my hands with it. Yet all summer long I missed each lavender event.... sad face emoji. I was so excited when I looked out the window and I saw umbrellas popped open. I was up really early in the morning and I can hear them doing construction setting up for an event. How cool I'm definitely going down. We share the same mountain . My cousin Judy showed up and we popped in. Unfortunately it was not a lavender event. It was a wedding. Obviously not get an invitation. We didn't wanna disrupt it. Especially because I was not in informal attire. I did manage to sneak a couple pictures without getting involved with the other guests. I knew this place was beautiful. I can't wait to go back when it's open to the public. If you're looking for a wedding venue look no further. If your vibe is outdoor rustic barn lavender, this is Your destination .All in one place ! 5 star #ILoveTheBlueBarn #Lavender

Omg we thought we got lost thank goodness I continued to drive on De Portola Rd until we got there! Please take note of the special instructions on the directions noted on the bottom of the website! Customer service is friendly. For $30 you get to take home a bundle of lavender that'll fit the tube they provide which needs to returned afterwards. They have 2 parking areas, a wedding venue, picnic areas and 3 separate flushable outhouses and 2 portable hand washing stations. I enjoyed my time picking lavenders!!!

Nice sized farm with plenty of lavender to pick. It's not so huge that you'd get lost in or spend all day wandering around but it's actually the right size to spend 2 hrs taking pics and picking lavender. The overall vibe at this farm is very chill and family friendly. Ron was very pleasant and funny. He made our experience very enjoyable. And despite it being a pretty warm July summer day, there was a cool breeze that helped make it not so bad. Overall it was a great experience and we'd love to come back to pick more lavender.

We have been wanting to go to a Lavender farm and we are so glad we came to Blue Barn! The friendliest people and beautiful scenery! * You will have to go about 1.5 miles on a dirt road so don't think you are going the wrong way * You can buy ice cold water, lavender honey soap, and spray as well as getting your bouquet(s) of lavender -- $25 per car (not including any soap or spray). So much fun and so worth it! Can't wait to do it again next year!

I am super excited to find this hidden gem. Got the whole family on the go and talked to the owner which seems be nice and inviting. Well see if our vehicle will make it through the gate. Yup it did! Just go slow. We took the longer route from the 15 down and brought a 30' RV. Just go slow. Didn't scrape. What a fun place. It's in the middle of no where. Lots of dirt road and even hard to get to a bit. But really a fun simple family event for all ages. This is a private farm land that only opens for two weeks out of the year. It's such a memorable event for us all. Not to mention a stunning view and nice breeze. Definitely in chill mode amongst a million lavender stems.

The drive 2 hours from OC. the road to the farm was hard a little around 1 mile rock. The farm peaceful and fresh. itself was lovely, rolling hills and rows and rows of lavender of many varieties. Worth a drive on a lazy afternoon to enjoy the fields and sitting on the deck. I brought home some lavender products and happy with that . Would come back

A true hidden gem! Such a gorgeous place to come and escape the crazy city. My sons and I came to see the fresh lavender and check out the scenery we were not disappointed. With a full field untouched for you to walk and take photos, and one field for you to pick lavender to take home it's absolutely perfect. We will definitely be coming back.

It was a great experience and place to visit. I'll definitely be back when they reopen.

It's a little bit of a drive but worth it! It $30 for a big bundle of lavender. You can also purchase lavender scented items: lip balm, scrubs, lotions etc. They do accept card which is nice. The lemonade stand they have there accepts Venmo and cash, $2 for the most refreshing lemonade. I would only recommend if you go bring sunscreen and a lunch since they have great picnic tables! A great experience with the most welcoming owners!

Absolutely love going to this tranquil paradise in the middle of no where with glorious views, sensational aromas coming from the lavender and pleasant conversations with the owners. Such a relaxing place.

The beautiful view of the reservoir and our daughter running, per usual.

Beautiful lavender fields, gorgeous view of the reservoir, and super friendly and personable owners. My family came to take family photos in the fields. The property is just stunning! One of the owners, Ronn, took the photos while the other owner, Carly, helped us with positioning and wrangling our rambunctious 20 month old. The shoot was a great combo of posed and natural photos, and we had so much fun. We had a blast, and Ronn and Carly were so patient and wonderful chasing our little lady around to photograph. They caught so many good photos, which is amazing given the speed she runs! My daughter found a stink bug in the field and Ronn even managed to get a cute photo of that! We are recommending you to all of our friends and we are looking forward to returning for more photos, or lavender goodies, or maybe for next year's you-pick.

You'll then see signs and two purple flags and a Porta potty in the parking lot. Geisbauer road is like walking on beach sand. Hours: 8am-12noon daily 6pm-8pm sunset picking Fri and Sat Parking: You see the purple flags, park and walk in. They didn't have designated handicap parking but they do have closer parking if you drive past the flags and parallel park along the fence. We were the first at 8am to beat the heat. Cost: $10 pint $20 quart Cash or Credit Tips: -Wear a hat -Sunblock -Water -Wear close toed shoes -Watch out for fire ants! One crawled up my boots and bite my leg. -We brought gloves to avoid the berry juice -We shared 1 quart size -Bring a cooler if you have a long drive -You may sample 1 or 2 while picking -An area with picnic tables in the shade -Bring step stool if you want the kiddos to reach the higher branches I actually found blueberry picking to be more satisfying than blackberries. At least with blueberries, they were ripe and you look for the largest one. Blackberries are different because you only pick the black ones and ignore the red ones. Takes more effort to look for ripe ones that are decent in size to fill up our bucket. You'll have to look high and low. It can also get messy. When I paid, I asked for tips. He said he saw ripe ones on the left. So we went straight there and glad we did because other aisles were either red or empty. It's great for first time experience but I don't see us coming back next year unless there are more activities like food trucks, boutique vendors, blackberry snacks. I appreciate them opening the farm to the public but the heat seems to affect the berries and need more water and maintenance. Also I think it's towards end of July so it was a bit run down as more people attend.

The drive to the farm was easy on a dirt road once you're on Avenida Del Oro, go through the entrance gate to the paved parking lot. You'll see the owner, Mr. Yu hanging out at the tables. He scanned our Groupon and gave us each a bag. Said no rules, we can go anywhere on the property. Also gave us a small bottle of freshly juiced OJ. I had my elderly mom with me and Mr. Yu suggested that we drive back out near the front entrance where the grounds are level. Otherwise, it would be too steep for my mom. I'm so glad he suggested this because we didn't have to hike up a slope, not many people come this way so there were many large tangerines up for grabs! Tips: -Sun hat -Sunscreen -Sunglasses -gloves -Closed toe shoes (slippery when wet) -Tools for easy snipping or to grab the ones up high -Gently twist, don't pull the fruit -You can sample while you pick! -Clean restrooms -pay at the end Over 35 acres of tangerines, the very top of the hill are avocados, the trees in front of the parking lot are lemons and on the other side are blueberries. The video you see on You Tube or their website is outdated. They do not have a restaurant or wedding area but they are working on rebooting this. The tangerines are so juicy with a mix of sweet and sour. They have limited hours on Saturday and Sunday only from 10-2. The Groupon deal asked for reservations. I wasn't a fan of this just because things could change so I sent an email asking how strict and got an automatic reply, same as the last with a form to fill out reservations. I wish it was more personable. When I got there, he only cared about scanning the Groupon. So I don't think they are strict if you were to just show up without a reservation. Be on the lookout for snakes!!! Stick to the trees that you can clearly see through the branches. Avoid the ones that are all bushy as if something could be hidden there. My mom saw a snake coiled up on the branch when she was about to stick her hand through.

They have a little shop full of chocolates and when you enter, a staff member offers you a sample. She asked what we would like to try while kids received a milk chocolate with sprinkles on it. Because they're probably made with a lot of love and labor, the chocolates aren't cheap but not ridiculously overpriced either. I'm for sure the type though who would have spent a lot more on the chocolates if the tickets were cheaper but that's just me. I'm sure the ticket sales are better. A lot of people do walk out with purchasing any chocolate when I was there. I had fun looking at all of them though and deciding what I wanted.
