You can't miss him!…read more It's the first stand at the Saturday Ferry Farmers Market in San Francisco by Gott's Roadside. Cesar is 'him' as the longtime seller of a variety of citrus fruits, avocados, and passion fruits locally grown... well, Riverside is in California. This grower sells Valencia oranges, a daisy and golden nugget mandarins, oro blanco grapefruits, and pomelos, which are my normal purchases here. It is difficult to shop at farmers' market these days as the days of trying samples before buying are gone. So are the options of picking your own fruits and vegetables. He still allows me to bag my own mandarins and oro blancos since he knows that I will buy whatever I touch. A good indicator of a vendors' produce quality is the amount of wholesale purchases that he or she makes. The stacks of boxes that are curbside are usually stacked up high on Saturdays as resellers and restaurants come to pick up their orders. He is the only stand that sells fresh, locally grown passion fruits. He does accept credit cards too in case you are cash light. One of my must stops especially during mandarins season.

And Vince himself is an utter delight, not to mention so dedicated to sharing his bounty with us up here in Northern Calif, that he even showed up at our Farmers Market in the middle of an atmospheric river downpour! To paraphrase Herodotus, "Neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet, nor hail shall keep Vince from his appointed rounds!" Proof below - Vince was the *only* vender sho showed up in the storm!

Hidden gem for all things Asian groceries!…read more If you're anywhere near Corona and love cooking Asian-inspired food at home, this spot is a must-visit. 99 Ranch is one of those supermarkets that feels like a culinary playground -- the aisles are packed with ingredients you might not find at regular grocery stores, and it's where I discovered Birds Eye chilis and all kinds of furikake seasonings that I love adding to fresh tuna and other recipes. From sauces and noodles to fresh produce, seafood, and hard-to-find packaged goods, they carry pretty much everything you need to bring your favorite Asian recipes to life. It's not just a grocery run -- it's inspiration in every aisle. Whether you're looking to experiment with something new or just stock up on staples for your weekly cooking, this market is worth the trip. The layout makes browsing easy, and even though some items can be a little pricier than mainstream supermarkets, the unique selection and quality make it worth it. Did I mention I love grabbing an Ice coffee from Bakery & Café located in their food court?! Very affordable ice coffees and delicious

Not cheap but fun if you are having guests or want a special meal. This time I had my order delivered and they had what I needed. I wish they had more pastries/breads listed on Instacart, as they do have unique items in this area. Overall, I found what I was looking for and I will be coming back.

The sushi was delicious and practically melted in my mouth. The rolls are a bit on the smaller side; usually one roll fills me up, but here I had to order two. I also really enjoyed the miso soup. The edamame was good, though a little too salty for my liking. Customer Service 5/5 Customer service was excellent! Our waitress was super friendly and welcoming, and I loved that she gave great recommendations. She really knew the menu, which is always a plus and so helpful when ordering, especially at a new spot. Loved, loved, loved it! Ambience 5/5 I was shopping at the thrift store next door and never expected the inside of this place to be so nice. It's a hidden little gem, the interior is beautiful, clean, and thoughtfully put together! Cleanliness 5/5 Super clean during my visit ! Wait Time 5/5 We were seated immediately, and since it wasn't busy at first, our food arrived quickly. Once it got a bit busier, the wait was longer, but still completely reasonable. Cost 4/5 It was a bit on the pricey side for the portion size, but considering the quality and flavor, it was understandable. Just keep in mind that rolls are around $20 each. Appetizers, like the spicy edamame, are $10, the miso soup was $4, and extras are listed on the back of the menu for an additional charge.
