I've been into this store before and it's really fun. Lots of different finds and goods you can add to a hot pot, and they also have the thinly sliced meats you grill at a Korean BBQ. Not cheap but fun if you are having guests or want a special meal. This time I had my order delivered and they had what I needed. It's a staple store which we go to almost every week for cooking supplies. Don't look for great customer service here; unless you can speak Cantonese/Mandarin...and even then, it's a curt little grunt or a finger point to the right direction-kind of response. But we still love coming here and getting our supplies. Their produce guys are always nice to me.....and their prices aren't too astronomical (compared to others) --you just have to come here with a positive attitude and not expect much. Mrs. Yelper and I were having cocktails and decided hey let's get liquored up and make spring rolls! Having no ingredients we sobered up and headed to our nearby 99. Half the fun of making the little wonders was shopping for the ingredients! Must have been obvious we were lost in a sea of...whatever the heck all that stuff is. A kindly Asian lady helped us out, bless her heart. Hope she reads this. We used a Caucasian recipe which threw us off--almost used pasta instead of rice vermicelli, and kept the rice paper in the water a little too long. FOOLS. End result was magnificent (not visually), though Brodard need not fear. Thank you Flying Horse rice paper! It's now a staple in our Mexican house. Asian tacos! My eldest daughter wanted to get some Asian BBQ sauce. We happened to be in the neighborhood of this 99 Ranch Market in Corona so here we are. Upon entry and to our right, we saw some food vendors... BF Bakery & Cafe, Just Boba Tea House, Tony's BBQ, Asian Kitchen, and a chicken place (don't remember name). I said cool... we'll have to check them out after shopping. This 99 Ranch is a bit bigger than other 99 Ranch that I've been to. Maybe this one has the additional food vendors that makes it look bigger. Anyway, we got the Asian BBQ sauce. Right when we were about to pay, I remembered we had some half + half and CoffeeMate hazelnut flavor creamer in the frig. We ended up getting some canned Asian fruits... lychee, longan, jackfruit, palm seed, grass jelly, aiyu jelly, and coconut jelly to make che thai (Vietnamese dessert). They didn't have canned rambutan, but they did have fresh rambutan so I got that instead. Prices for the canned fruits were a tad higher than at the 99 Ranch near me... perhaps location makes a difference. Along the way to the cashier, I saw some big persimmons so I picked up 8 of them and 1 Hawaiian papaya. I'm a sucker for fresh fruits especially Asian fruits. Lines weren't too long. Cashier was pleasant. Afterwards, we strolled on over to the food vendor area and hung out for another hour or so. They do have tables and chairs for customers to chill and/or eat at which was nice. I don't live near Corona, hence, this will not be my go-to 99 Ranch. I bought a "two-item combo" box from the deli section this afternoon--rice, *kaofu* (braised gluten), and spare ribs--and it was absolutely inedible. The fried rice was completely flavorless, the *kaofu* was both hard and overly salty, and the spare ribs had a distinct, unpleasant taste of stale pork. I like this market because it has a lot of Asian food options. I especially enjoy the live seafood area where they can cook your seafood right away, which is why it gets 3 stars from me. I have encountered some rude customer service before, but I don't think they mean it that way. It might just be a language barrier, which is fine by me. This is the only Asian market in the Corona vincinity. There's actually not much choice for Asian groceries in the area, but this 99 Ranch does serve the community locally or anyone who is traveling in the area. I have been here through the years and things have changed a lot. Improvements in some areas, while others same or none. Their best departments are their branded cafe and hot food area, meat/butcher counter, and their fresh produce section. They have a pretty good selection, with a variety of Asian products, but you won't find everything here. It is a little on the pricier side, but you can still find decent deals. It's not the best 99 Ranch I've visited, though. Other than the departments mentioned above, there isn't much customer service here. I really do enjoy their cafe staff and wish they would hire or move those better spoken staff to their front cashiers instead, because most of their cashiers are not really welcoming and there is definitely a language barrier. Their cashier staff should reflect a little more on the local community and be able to answer basic questions and communicate at a level where they can better handle customer interactions. I recently had an interaction with a cashier that was very rude about bagging groceries. Though I don't expect it, it's usually not an issue here. But this cashier coldly threw up their arms, crossed them, indicating they would not help me bag. Then when I asked again, they "helped," but was throwing some of my items into my bag. They also had seen me pay for my groceries AND handed me a receipt, then accused me of not having paid. When they realized their mistake, they didn't even acknowledge it. I did go over to their Customer Service and explained what happened. Two ladies were there, one was standoffish, while the other listened but they had no customer feedback forms when asked. I did end up sending an email about the incident to their Customer Service at corporate. Still waiting to hear back. But take note, if you have any concerns, notify the store, but don't expect them to resolve anything. Send an email to corporate so they see it and will more likely reach out to the store manager and better train some of their staff on how to communicate with customers. But, other than that incident, it's still a good store to go to. Just on the pricier side, but if you need some Asian groceries, they'll have it here. read more

I bought a bag of chips and a snack that both came out expired. I didn't realize till I was home but that's honestly so unacceptable. The workers need to be more attentive of things like that because someone could get sick. My items were expired since 2025! This 99 Ranch location is much larger than others I've been to. There are several places to eat in the food court as well as an area dedicated to claw machines. I've only seen claw machines in one other market so this was definitely a pleasant surprise. There were so many machines to choose from and everything was decently priced. It was $1 for one token, and most of the machines were one token per play. The only exceptions were the larger machines which were two tokens. One of them was out of order, but everything else was functioning properly. All the machines looked very well-maintained and the whole place was kept up nicely. Overall, I definitely want to visit this location again even if I don't live in the area. They offer so many items that my local 99 Ranch doesn't have, and the claw machines are an added bonus! read more

This new 99 Ranch Market location is incredible. We stopped here after a recent event and came away impressed with their variety and selection. They had tons of fresh produce, fresh lobster in tanks and lots and lots of pre-packaged seafood and meats; they even had chop-sticks for our gyoza pot stickers. I spent $34.89 here and came away very impressed with their cleanliness, very fair prices and wide aisle. It was like mini Asian Costco. I even purchased 5 bulbs of garlic for, get this... only $0.99. See photos. Check-out was pretty easy, too. And thanks to Yelp, for the durable "green friendly" bags for our groceries. My go to market for asian ingredients. You can find almost everything you're looking for here. A large market with fresh produce, live seafood and all the spices the recipe calls for. Great service and lots of registers available for check out. Herbal remedies, claw machine area for the kids to play, cell phone repair, food court and bakery. 99 Ranch Market here at Corona gets a lot of love! The parking lot is always busy, but there are plenty of spaces so finding parking is not too difficult. There are food vendors inside the food court area, there are also vendors that sells glasses, knick knacks, and little arcade area where you can trade you money for a token for a chance at little claw machines. The selection of groceries items here varies and are consistent with other 99 Ranches found in San Gabriel Valley. They have your seafood, meats, fresh fruits and vegetables, dry noodles, frozen foods, spices, utensils, snacks, and kitchenware. This place is a one stop shop for all things kitchen and groceries. The workers are usually very busy with their tasks but if you need something and asks them questions, they are helpful! They have 2 restrooms inside - one by the food court, next to the vendor that sells Chinese to-go food, and the other is next to the butcher station in the middle back of the store. Today March 13, 2025 at 3pm, I was checking out my stuff and something went wrong with my card. The cashier got upset and took my card off my hand and was trying to do it herself. She was angrily speaking in Chinese and I couldn't understand what she is saying. But, she was rude and was angry with me! She was probably stressed as there was a long line. They don't ever have any fresh pastries like most ranch 99s do... they don't offer the fresh rice cakes or che OR sulppang none of that. It's kinda mid, the store never is consistent. If you found something here, don't expect to go back and find it again. This store is very basic, but not really because they don't even have basic necessities. They don't carry shrimp paste, crab paste, they don't carry much at all actually I don't even understand why there is American or Mexican groceries inside of here. I do wish that it was more authentic when it comes to the snack and grocery options I have now gone to H Mart in Chino. This store never really has anything. This isn't the best supermarket for Asian goods but there aren't many places like this in the IE as far as I know, so I'm glad we have it. I like the 168 much better (in Rowland Heights) but it is a pretty far drive. The variety here is OK and they do sell fresh jackfruit, which is something we always buy. It's in a nice shopping center with plenty of parking. The store is clean and well organized. I would like to see more variety in the snacks and drinks section. There is a cute shop up front that sells Sanrio and cosmetics. The lady working there was super nice and helpful. I wouldn't normally buy overpriced eyeliner but she SOLD it to me like a PRO so I gave her my money and walked away with my expensive cheap eyeliner in a cute Sanrio paper bag. read more

This is primarily an Asian grocery store, with loads of items not found in "regular" stores. Their produce section is impressive, fresh meat and seafood counter is pricey, but exclusively stocked. Over the years this particular location seems to fluctuate from outstanding to WTF happened? However, as a fairly close Asian market for staples and ingredients otherwise unavailable at more Americanized grocery stores, it's a gem, if somewhat inconsistent. These critiques were noted long before Covid-19 was a thing. Produce: Generally quite good, their specials on bok choy and other products are worth checking out, and I've found a few neat things to spice up the home cooking such as kaffir lime leaves (inside roasted chicken) and king oyster mushrooms to name but a few. Meats: This is where it gets toucy. In some cases they are a go-to, where else can you find frozen dressed rabbit? Their seafood looks pretty good most days and shrimp sales are always great. For beef and pork shop selectively. Noods and Dumps: This is where you should definitely go to town because the variety and choices are seemingly endless and warrant frequent experiments. Don't forget to check out the aisle with dumpling sauces. Dried noodles and refrigerated types also offer outstanding selections. This section alone would raise the score higher if not for inconsistent stocking of items in other areas. Restaurants: There are a number of small restaurants operating inside, including a bakery. The BBQ Pork is great from one, unfortunately, the fried chicken establishment didn't survive the Covid-19 shutdown, but other options remain for snacks or lunch while shopping. Rewards: They have a rewards card but I'm still foggy on the details. Perhaps at some point we'll spend enough to get a small kickback? Worth getting clarified but why not? Used to like this store but scared to go now that I was racially discriminated by the employees. Cashiers do not greet people from other ethnic backgrounds. The seafood department needs improvement because the people that work there will simply not come to the front and help. Today my mom was waiting to be attended trying to make signals with the employee on duty and as I made my way to her I saw two other employees laughing at her and pointing at her as she was struggling to get help. Had an iffy experience last time I was here, I was treated very poorly by a cashier, long story short. This time, after a long time, I missed this place (November 6th) and gave it another chance. The cashier Michael, was awesome. Amazing service, he even chit-chatted with me for a while about my spicy ramen noodle choices I was purchasing, and even recommended some new ones! I struggle with this place because I'm an animal lover. On one hand you can find great items here. I love the cookies, crackers, dragon fruit and eggplant. Along with other items you can find for cheap. I've also bought chopsticks and found some cute bowls for ramen here. But I don't like going into a grocery store and seeing so much death. There's dead ducks, dead fish, dead lobster, live animals for killing and cooking. It's just hard for me to go into a place and see that. I get that people like to eat meat and seafood, but it's so bloody and gross. Aside from that, it's a big store. With lots of random Asian groceries.
