It's a pretty neat 99 Ranch. The layout looks a lot like H-Mart. This store seems bigger than other locations, thinking because it's the main hub for Asian groceries in the area. They have a good vegetable section, but from my last two visits here, they do seem a bit pricey. I wanted to grab some green onions and they were nearly a dollar each. Know its also the current times, but they are charging about 15 cents more than other 99 Ranch locations, even ones in the I.E. or in Chino Hills. Same thing goes for their other groceries, but they do carry pretty good variety of all-inclusive Asian groceries. So you'll also find some Vietnamese, Korean, and Japanese groceries here, too. Parking is not a big deal here. Might peak on parking if it's busy weekend or something, but plenty of parking spaces. read more

One of the craziest experiences I've ever had in a supermarket. The seafood counter was completely unattended. An employee came out, told us "I'm on break," ignored us, took off his coat and walked away. When he finally came back, he got aggressive and even ripped the ticket machine off the counter. Then two employees jumped onto the counter like they were about to attack my husband. Other people had to hold them back. No manager showed up the entire time. When the manager (Jeff) finally appeared after everything was over, he didn't help at all -- instead he falsely accused us of throwing something, which never happened. There is no 99 Ranch Market where I am and the local Asian markets' inventory is very limited at best. I really have to drive a long way so I try to make it count. Going to a 99 Ranch Market has become a treat now. The first thing I noticed about this store is how CLEAN it is. There are no bad odors when walking in. The fruits and vegetables in the produce section are fresh and arranged neatly. I like how the vegetables are bagged individually. I bought an assortment of citrus fruit like oranges, mandarins, tangelos, and tangerines for snacks. They carry Sunkist brand oranges which is a plus since those are a favorite of mine. It is almost time for the Dragon Boat Festival so I came here for the 99 Ranch Market brand dragon boat dumplings in the prepared food section. There are numerous different varieties but my favorite is the Cantonese style. The rice dumplings aren't as good as the ones my Mother used to make but are satisfactory. The Cantonese style ones will have fatty pork belly, mung beans, peanuts, mushroom, and salted egg yolk as the filling. Be sure to read the ingredients label on the package to determine what the fillings are. The dumplings come two to a pack. It is highly recommended that each aisle is perused to find the delicious items to try. I stocked up on snacks and cakes, too, as well as Chinese sausage. The cashiers are very nice, too. Plenty of parking in the lot and the store is easily accessible from the 15 Freeway. This is a definite return in the future. read more

My previous experience was based off when they first opened - and how wonderful everything was. Well nowadays, this location has significantly changed. I do have to say that the cashiers still seem to be somewhat nice, meaning they say 'hello' and acknowledge you. However, this Valentines weekend, it smelled like leaking propane in the store - and we continued to endure it hoping it would dissipate , and it never did. My review is also highlighting the Seafood Dept. While food is ever present , frying, and freely exposed, the employees were aggressively splashing a brown liquid in a big vinegar bottle all over the floor. Especially near the vats while fish was frying. There was no order, no careful consideration of possible cross contamination. This is one of those situations that needs OSHA to inspect - unexpectedly. Along with poor sanitation, the employees carry on as though they don't want to be bothered - by anyone. They act as though they don't understand a word, but understand everything you're saying. They look awful, unpleasant and just unkept. The Seafood counter is not properly managed, unorganized, and communication is distorted. Can this be fixed? Sure, if they care enough to keep or grow business and take consumers experiences seriously - or we all just STOP buying food from the Seafood counter? This will likely be ignored, so I will report, and whatever else I can do on my end to help my myself and the fellow community. read more

While this new location is convenient for 2-in-1 trips to Costco in this growing shopping center, it's still not as well stocked to things we usually find at many other stores. I also find the aisles here a little too narrow, especially if other people with carts or employees are restocking. The bakery is also a little small and limited in selection presently. The seafood area is set up like another store in Irvine, which is nice because it's more spread out. The produce section is also comparable to older stores, as is the meats. I like that there's a 99 Cravings food court adjacent, but not under the same roof, like the Chino Hills store. I still have to explore that side, but I understand there's a good sushi restaurant that specializes in open-faced handrolls. read more

Clean and spotless, wide isles go the full length of the store. Plenty of parking and surrounding eateries. Asian ingredients to make that perfect pho, drunken noodles or Japanese curry. Just the tip of the iceberg the possibilities are endless. Hot food plates, sweet and savory pastries are located towards the back of the store. Probably where lines are forming. This is probably the most beautiful 99 Ranch Market I've ever visited. Located in the new shopping plaza off Cantu-Galleano Ranch Rd and Hamner Ave (just south of the 60 and west of the 15 freeways) in Eastvale, you, too, will marvel at the beauty of this modern location. They have spacious shopping aisles and high ceilings without feeling bare or cold. My only disappointment was that they didn't have the one ingredient from the produce section (Chinese long beans) I was looking for that day. However, that didn't stop me from finding other awesome products around the store. I was really drawn to the exterior and was impressed with the modern look inside of this market: from the various lighting to the visible and brightly-lit department names (like Seafood, Meats, Bakery, etc.). Just outside this market, there's a small courtyard with tables and chairs to enjoy snacks or other food you purchased. It's been open for over two years and hasn't improved at all. The selection is limited, the prices are high, and most of the staff have terrible attitudes (although there are a few good ones). Customers, please make sure you're double-checking your receipts, especially if there's any manual calculating on their cashier's part. There was a price error on their part, but instead of honoring what's on the tag that they created themselves, the cashier ended up overcharging me when she did the manual weight and price adjustment. The packaging says specifically that the meat itself weighs 0.77 lbs (no error there), which makes the total $4.60. But on the receipt, she includes the weight of the container, hence up charging me at $5.27. I appreciated the AC being turned up and no bad smells, (like is common with most Ranch Markets) it's a nice supermarket. I skimmed past the fruits & veggies at the entrance but it all looked very fresh and neatly organized. They have weekly deals so I'd stick to those items on sale, as most others were on the higher range. The back of the store has the meat and seafood, even live crab, lobster, and some fish. It looked well stocked and no bad smell, which is great! They have a decent amount of ready-to-eat/heat-and-eat meals in case you're in a time crunch. There is a Shabu-Shabu inside this food court charging $30 for one 4-Oz. protein item, so - nah, not willing to part with my dollars on that deal. I pulled hubby to 99 Ranch's "HOT DELI," next to the Café. There is DIM SUM, the top Chinese cuisine favorites, and also Roasted items (duck, chicken, pork). HOW TO ORDER: (1) Follow the queue if there is any; (2) Pick your dim sum items or (3) order your Combo Meal and/or (4) order your Roasted items or (5) order their Special [off-menu] Offer. (6) Follow your server to the cash register. They will ask for your 99-Ranch membership phone number to entitle you to a special discount or price. (7) Pay and DON'T FORGET TO ASK THEM FOR YOUR CHOPSTICKS or SPOONS, FORKS, KNIVES because they forget especially when there's a barrage of customers waiting behind you. Service is definitely culturally- influenced so do not be offended about the ubrupt talk. It is not personal, it is just part of the culture. FOOD - 80% is very good. I will no longer pick the dim sum "Pork ribs" and "shumai." I had to throw it away. I finished the bittermelon, the Eggplant, and the roast duck. This is my favorite 99 Ranch in the IE! The produce and meats are always so fresh and high quality. Not to mention they have authentic wagyu beef! I haven't had the chance to try it yet because I don't want to ruin such premium meat by cooking it improperly, but I will one of these days! For my ube lovers, I always make sure I get some creamy popsicles here or even a tub of ice cream here. Literally the best for making ube smoothies at home and so much more economical than going to your local milk tea spot. Seeing 99 Ranch expand into this area represents the Asian community making its' footing as well as sharing our culture and TASTY SNACKS with our friends. I was fortunate enough that my schedule became available to attend this 99 Ranch - Eastvale GRAND OPENING!! Wow this ceremony was EPIC!! There was a huge dragon, a bunch of lion dancers, balloon arch, photo backdrop. The whole shabangggg! Honestly their grand opening was better than some lunar new year festivities. We were joined by the CEO and Chairman of 99 Ranch as well as the Major and Counsel member of Eastvale. I also really like their upbeat bilingual MC who kept the crowd updated and excited for the whole production. The dragon and lions entered the store first so that the crowd following would enjoy some PROSPERTY!! Yes... I am all for that prosperity. The interior of the store was very clean, modern, well lit. Everything was so organized. The produce, meats and seafood items all look very premium in quality. They had all my SNACKS!! So excited for 99 Ranch to expand. I think my family is physically closer to the Rancho Cucamonga location but since the Eastvale location is off the freeway it was a faster drive. Also, I hear that a food hall will be joining in the building next to them shortly. Will be excited to check that out as well when they open! read more

If you come into this store not looking like the general clientele they serve, you WILL be treated badly. Went yesterday and will be my LAST time. I was in the frozen section looking for something when I overheard a white lady ask where something was. There was an employee stocking the shelves and he downright refused to help her, said he didn't know where said item was. She told him "I figured since you work here, you would know" then she went on about her business. It's now time for me to check out & I prefer to use self check out anywhere I can go. Unfortunately for me, there were 2 young girls just standing at the corner of the self checkout machine. As SOON as I walked up, they start laughing. I don't pay them any attention, I figure they're fresh out of high school(even though that's no excuse for how they acted in a customer service job) I pay, the machine reads my card but I guess I missed instructions that I paid with a certain card I needed to press credit on the screen ?? an employee came running up behind me to press credit for me and then ran back away. Wtf? What if I wasn't using credit? Don't touch peoples shit. When that employee ran back, the same two girls start giggling some more. The whole experience is just very awkward and not welcoming whatsoever. There's another Asian grocery store in chino hills where they DONT act like this shithole. Finally they are opening a location in Eastvale! this is located on the left side of Costco when you are facing Costco. I went to their soft opening & this location was super nice & clean but the aisles were a bit narrow. It had an Asian food section with hanging ducks & octopus which you could order. There was also a little stand next to the bakery where you can order yummy hot piping little egg waffle cakes. Very americanized setup, the fridge sections reminded me of Whole foods with clear glass doors. Prices are a bit more expensive compared to the Asian markets in OC though. Seafood section in the back aisles was very clean & it had many tanks of crabs, lobster, crawfish, oysters, etc. The grand opening is set to happen Saturday 2/11/23 at 8 am & there's going to be prizes, free stuff & discounts of foods. Overall, definitely check it out if you're in the area/ love Asian foods/ groceries. read more

1/19/24 I have to admit, I agree with Yelper Wendy's review...this location might be the most beautiful 99 Ranch mkt. Why the 3 star, you say!? My experience might be impacted by the fact that it's a Friday & my patience might've worn very thin. It is a clean & well organized store but that's about it. The restrooms were definitely sparkling clean. If you factor in the idea that most these kinds of places rarely have presentable restrooms (IYKYK), then this could be a one off--or because it's a NEW establishment & they been able to maintain the cleanliness since. The aisles are long & the products are laid out in an organized fashion. The fresh produce department is not as fresh as I would like. I inquired from a staff about okra packages, if there were more in the back, she didn't seem too interested to help me at all. She did say that she would check, but she never came back. There is the bakery and another stall for prepared foods but both were closed because it's late in the day. Check-out was disappointing. It took almost an eternity (okay I'm exaggerating) while I waited in line so I decided to use the self checkout. After scanning about 6 items, my screen froze-so the attendant said I'd have to start over again. I was so done at this point. So I had to put everything back in my cart & go back in line. More waiting. I was going to lose it if I would have to bag my own groceries here too. Thankfully there was an employee who bagged my groceries. This location is not the most convenient because it's far from our place and it is SUPER crowded because it shares a location with Costco & a gazillion other businesses that are as equally busy. The line alone for In & Out is horrendous. All in all, this just might be the first & last time I will be shopping here unless by any chance I'm tagging along for the ride. read more

Wait no more! They're finally open the weekend of Feb 10, 2023! I have never seen the entire lots filled on the opposite side of Costco aside from In-N-Out's usual traffic. It was a nightmare going on Grand Opening Day to check out everything, but I hope the crowd lessens a little bit over time to offer some parking to others that want to shop there. They have a plethora of selections available throughout the store, including a fresh egg waffle maker, BF bakery, dim sum to go, and whole roasted ducks in the back of the store. I know the fellow Asian communities in the IE have been rejoicing all around. The next closest location would be Chino Hills and Diamond Bar, so this is a big deal for everyone. If someone gets sick from eating this, will the shop take responsibility? Not only is the price here higher than other places like 99 Ranch, but the selection is poor too. Had to check out the new 99 Ranch Market in the City of Eastvale! As you walk inside the store, you first see the produce section. Produce is nice and fresh. They have the meat, seafood, and bakery section. Everything is well lit in the store. The aisles are well spaced out and organized. Different products from all countries. There is a hot cooked food section if you want to order for take out. If you purchase anything from the bakery section, it must be paid there and not at the front register as it is separate and no bar codes for them to scan. I've been checking in to the 99 Ranch Market recently and it truly exceeded my Expectations when it comes to the quality of their Selection and Bakery Service! I stopped by on my Father's Birthday and stocked up the kind of treats that remind Me of the snacks we used to buy together on our Adventure Dates. I love that they have the Green Onion Buns and Vanilla Sponge Cakes, and my Favorite Pineapple Conchita Buns! I'm always craving Boba Milk Tea when I'm in a Asian Magic Carpet Escape Mood so I love that the Bakery sells lots of fun Traditional Beverages too that complement the Artfully Chic treats :0) I also stopped by to choose a Birthday Cake for my Brother here recently and loved the gorgeous Variety of Elegant Cakes they had for us to choose from too! My Brother likes Oreos so we were able to find a hilariously fun Oreo Mummy Cake with Bats on it since He loves Batman which added a lot of cozy and fun personal touches to evening. We asked the meat department guy where we could find pork's blood and he said on the shelf and we asked if he could show us and said no and sat back against the table.
