You can tell they genuinely care about what they're providing. The beef is outstanding--hands down the best we've ever had. Their chicken is just as impressive, and even the hot dogs are fantastic. Keeping it and simple. I resent brought their whole Beef Rib Plate to smoked. I called ahead to see if they had any Beef Rib Plate in and luckily for they has 2 plate left. The cost was $22lb. When i got there was a little line, which was a good sign. They have plenty of good cuts of meat with great marbling. What i notice is there not much customer service. You definitely need to know what you want when they call you. As for my 7lb whole Beef Rib that i got is was fantastic. It has nice marbling. I visited Brunk's on my birthday because I wanted PRIME steak, not just choice. When the best at Stater Bros won't do, it's Brunk's. The steak concierge was thoughtful, patient, and willing to have the butcher cut anything I wanted to whatever size I wanted. I relented, and asked for two bone in ribeye steaks, 2" thick each. I know they have amazing meat here which always gets good reviews, but I also wanted to say that their deli meats are on point especially their Italian meats. Better than getting your deli from the grocery store! The price point is about the same, but the quality is much better. Cheese too. Always friendly service when we've gone there and we're super fortunate to have it just down the street. We went here for the first time yesterday. We bought a steak, ranch burgers, bacon and some of their weekend smoked meats. The pulled pork was really good. We loved the ranch burgers. We also bought some of their chopped potatoes (these should be cut a bit smaller for convenience, they were pretty large and took a long time to cook. The service was great. A bit more expensive than a grocery store, but the quality is better and I love the transparency regarding where the meat is sourced. We will go back, hopefully next week. I recommend going here on the weekend, pick up smoked meats or burgers with some of their pre cut/seasoned potatoes and veggies for an easy and delicious meal! read more

I had a very disappointing experience with Brunks Butcher. On May 21, I called to special order guanciale, which they said they don't normally carry but might be able to source. I was upfront about needing it for a recipe (carbonara) and understood when they said it wasn't guaranteed. I paid a $50 deposit and was told I'd receive it in under two weeks--or at the very least, be contacted if they couldn't fulfill the order. Three weeks went by with no communication. I had to call them myself, and was told they'd try ordering it again and would know in a week. Again, no one followed up. After two more weeks of silence, I called and said I understood they couldn't get it and simply asked for my deposit back. That was over three weeks ago. Since then, I've left a voicemail, spoken with multiple employees, and even had my husband go in person. Still no refund. No accountability. No follow-up. At this point, they've kept my money and offered nothing in return--not even the courtesy of communication. It's incredibly unprofessional and frustrating. I expected more from a small, local business. read more

I'd like to say my review is based on experience with food at this place, but I never got to. I was scared off by an angry older woman in a pick up truck (owner?) who didn't want me parking in front of the place. She was livid and rambling on about the un-earmarked parking being for workers after two others had parked in front of her place as well. It was pouring rain which was annoying enough but I still tried to be nice and explain I was first dropping off my little girl at a ballet place 3 doors down and coming back... but she couldn't hear it... She even followed me until I got to the dance studio door! For the record, the stall were completely unmarked as anything but regular parking in a strip mall we were customers in. So, while I'm sure she wishes the stalls were only theirs, they weren't. Arguing with an old butcher shop lady in front of my daughter in pouring rain was not happening, so I ignored her, dropped off my girl, then went back without going into Brunk's and moved my car.... I was happy to check out this place since there aren't many meat specialty shops around, but no thank you on patroning this one. The worker/owner lady should be happy she's in a high traffic strip mall (I would have never noticed this place otherwise), but instead she chose to scare a customer away. Let's start by saying this: the meat I buy--and where I buy it from--should be held to a higher standard. The less processed and more natural it is, the more peace of mind it brings, and that's worth paying a little extra for. Visiting Brunk's Butchery was a breath of fresh air. Although I had passed by it countless times over the years, this was my first time stopping in--and I'm glad I did. The place was clean, the service was excellent, and even though I only came to sample a few items, they went out of their way to freshly grind a couple pounds of beef for me. Finally got to check out this amazing store and met the owner Daniel who was so personable, friendly, knowledgeable and truly went above and beyond to welcome us, thank us for coming in and give us all the information and insider tips. First off, if you live nearby, you're missing out if you don't go. We drove in from Menifee and can't wait to go back. They have amazing cuts of meat, everything is priced well and they will do anything custom (say you want a cut thinner) with a heads up. They do hot sandwiches and meat on the weekends, first come, first serve. They offer deli sandwiches and meats, and have other amazing products like seasonings, sauces and even make charcuterie boards to order. Honestly I can't say enough good things about our experience. We ordered 1 pound of bacon and 2 pounds of pastrami and can't wait to try our steaks in their house marinade. Everything we have tried has been incredible and the only downside is it isn't closer to us. It's a new steakhouse near where I live. Decided to stop and try it out. The place is cozy,tastefully decorated and the staff was friendly and very efficient. My hubs had the chicken and I had a flat iron steak( that was cooked EXACTLY how I asked). It was absolutely FABLOUS and DELICIOUS.. Jenn our server was so friendly,helpful and ontop of it. I ordered online but the sandwiches were not ready, possibly because when I got there, the employees asked what type of bread I wanted for the sandwiches (I was confused as the website did not give bread options when I ordered). We had choice of ciabatta or white bread, and I opted for ciabatta for all the sandwiches. As I waited for my order, my son and I looked around and fought the urge to buy some of the pre-packaged steak tips, herb butter, olive oil (and many other things!); but I did end up purchasing jalapeño cheese bread and a bottle of Cajun seasoning. We got 4 sandwiches (Brunk's house, pastrami, horse town and Italian), which were good but wish they had added more meat. Employees are friendly & helpful. Highly recommend coming here! I came here based on my search on Yelp for a fresh turkey. Brunk's did not disappoint and offered fresh turkeys from Diestel Family Ranch. The price is high but I want quality when it comes to an important holiday like Thanksgiving. When we cooked the turkey, it turned out amazing and was hands down the best turkey I've eaten. The taste, texture and tenderness of the chicken was second to none. Their location is clean and straightforward, staff is courteous, and the coolers are loaded with many options of beef, chicken, turkey etc. I did not get to try any of their cheeses they offer but they definitely are on my radar for my next visit. However I am posting now because I had THE BEST meat I have ever had. Pictured is SRF gold label boneless rib roast slow roasted and cooked to 130 degrees. Required a $25 deposit but never called me back, i called them 10 days later and told they had the veal but frozen and had to thaw it to cut it and be ready in 4-5 hours. So glad to have found this butchery close to home! We used to go to The Butchery in Costa Mesa and Brea because the meat is worth the price! When we walked in, it was relatively empty, but there was plenty of meat available. We ended up with some marinated steak tips, spicy chorizo crumble, a 38 day dry aged steak (that was half price, and another steak (sorry I don't remember the names). We walked out spending $67, but I tell you, the meat is totally worth every penny. The steak tips were so good! Had them last night for dinner. Oh hell yea!! For a while now I have been going to Francisco's Meats in Anaheim for high quality butchery and meats. I was told about a good spot that popped up in Norco but never went. Today, in an attempt to find neckbones, - no luck - but I did find one of the dopest butcher's around for sure. While walking up - I jokingly told one of the guys (Mike) that it wasn't fair he was smoking something on the grill outside. He told me he'd hook it up for me which I took as a joke. Inside is great. High equal meats. Unique seasonings and sauces abound. Got to sample some A5 Wagyu. And sure enough Mike hooked it up with 4 smoked chicken quarter that were on the smoker for 4 hours. Damn good stuff! Great dudes that know their meats inside. Excellent quality. Pricey no doubt but you pay for what you get for. This is real food not filled with the BS you find in the groceries. We went to Brunk's today as first time customers. We had seen a friend recommend them so we decided to drive the hour+ drive there. We spent over $300 on what seems to be like high quality meat. Workers were very friendly and helpful. Store was very clean. We purchased 4 steaks and a tri tip. It was the best tasting tri tip we have ever had!
