I read a few reviews on Metro Supermarket. It was said there is a Pho spot near this supermarket. One evening, my eldest daughter and I were looking for a place to have dinner. I said why not at that Pho place near Metro. Well, it turned out the Pho place is inside this supermarket. By the time we got here, the Pho place was closed so no din din here. Anyway, my daugther wanted to pick up a jar of fried onions and tofu. We walked around looking for them. While doing so, I perused around just to see what they have. It's a pretty standard Asian supermarket with the meat, produce, and other sections with aisles of Asian products. Meats and produce look fresh and of good quality. Cashier was pleasant. Paid for our stuff and left. We were on our way in search of another place to eat. Besides 99 Ranch in Rancho Cucamonga and Eastvale, this would be another good Asian grocery store in the Inland Empire. Tons of parking. They are very close to the 15 Fwy. Come support them!

First visit and love this Asian supermarket! Met couple friends to eat here at an eatery inside the market! Scout the produce section and found a good deal on bittermelon : a bag of 5 big gourds for only 99 cents!!! Quick Checkout line service !!! Have to come back to purchase a red frying pan !!! Have to save $40 next payday !!!

First time coming to this Asian supermarket and I've found that it carries a lot of projects from Taiwan and China. They have a fresh seafood area and meats/poultry area. Their vegetable and fruits section are kept clean. Aisles of interesting product that you cannot find at Ranch 99 so it was interesting to look for new products. Frozen section had a lot of domain varieties and another frozen section was filled with various dumplings and steamed buns. Service was good and quick. One downside is that they don't have a hot deli section. Also one cashier working so the lines were long.

This store has rapidly decline in product freshness since it opened. Their bin of lemons were molded. Their dragon fruits were also molded and some were barely hanging on. These item were not in their discounted produce rack either. Regardless, for health safety, they shouldn't even have those items discounted and simply tossed. Their meat area has a funky smell to it and is graded B by health code. I know that it was my own fault and risk that I took, but I still went on ahead to purchase 2 whole young chickens there. One was rancid. No doubt it was rotten. I did not have time to go back to return for a refund. Moving forward, I'll drive the extra few miles across town to the other Asian grocery store. Absolutely waste of my time and money.

7/21/24 My Yelp friends posted their review about this new Asian supermarket --I had to go & it out. Love the layout!!! That's important to me, I realized this as I began checking out other markets in my vicinity after moving to the IE. The aisles are NOT labeled that well. One aisle just says "Snacks". I am guessing they're not a 100% settled in yet. What's additionally important is that they have all my favorite vegetables & other Asian favorites (Filipino products). The veggies look fresh. i saw Magnolia ice cream with different flavors. The prices are fairly competitive. The onchoy was $1.99/lb whereas it would be $3.99/lb at 99 Ranch. They have prepared jackfruit--Nice! It's picked & ready to eat. Love it! Got a couple of packages to share with family when I see them today. Like any authentic Asian market, there's that language barrier. I guess it can't be perfect but I now have an alternative to 99 Ranch!! I noticed it when I bought salmon belly & head & at the checkout. Very limited English, maybe not any at all, just a few grunts or pointing to communicate. But it's alright. I am overjoyed. Life's little pleasures lol. It's clean, organized & prices are fair (better than 99 Ranch). It's amazing that it's not as busy considering it's Sunday whichI consider as a market shopping day. Parking is plentiful. This shopping experience is pretty good.

A new Asian market in Rancho Cucamonga is always nice, especially when it's close to many establishments that I like to frequent. We were driving by on the way to Total Wine when we saw the sign. Inside, it's a typical market. Produce and frozen sections, meats and seafood, and general stock and spices. There's even an aisle that seems more catered to Filipino tastes. I noticed there isn't a bakery, although that could be what's under construction in the back. Hopefully. We did see some interesting stuff, though, and came out around $20 with spice packets, cooking twine, and a freebie energy drink the cashier offered. After reading the ingredients (e.g. 100% sugar, Guarana et al.) we decided to leave it out for the homeless back home. On the whole, the market looked good. Some of the crabs didn't seem to be doing well in the tank, several were upside down, and only one still twitched. The fish were pretty fresh, though, clear eyes. I'd consider ordering from the meat department too sometime.

I'm so glad an Asian supermarket opened in fontana. The drive to 99 ranch was always a deterrent for me. Now I can get all my Asian necessities! They carry most basic brands plus extra fun ones. The fresh seafood section is legit. It reminds me of the OG fish markets in nyc. Aka they have frogs! I hope this place flourishes! I'll be coming back.

Metro Supermarket is the new Asian grocery market that opened last month in Rancho Cucamonga. The size of this market is about the size as the Cravings by 99 Ranch in Chino Hills. Being that this is a brand new market, the market is clean and the carts glide smoothly along the floor. I came by this new grocery store with my husband this past Sunday. Although there are vegetables and fruits available, I felt that the selection was limited, compared to larger grocery markets. The prices also for some of the produce that I had observed seemed to be more expensive the other grocery markets as well (but will say that other non produce items that I did look at seemed to be similar in price as other grocery markets). So we walked to the rest of the store and ended up finding items to purchase in the candy section and in the beverage section. I ended up purchasing matcha flavored milk candy that is made in Hokkaido, Japan. A coworker had recently brought back this candy from Japan and I just loved the creamy flavor of this candy and was happy to see that I could purchase a bag here. My husband and I also both purchased some instant milk tea in the beverage aisle, as we found some milk tea that we had not seen at some of the other Asian grocery markets. Not that I live in Rancho Cucamonga but I think it is nice that there is another Asian market in the city for residents to shop at. If I lived near here, I would probably only shop here for specific items and then shop at another market for other items that I may need to pick up to make dinner during the week.

I was glad that they carry block tofu which I usually have to go to Hoah Binh because 99 Ranch does not carry anymore.

Update: they reached out to me to fix the issue and I saw them improved immediately…read more I purchased a pack of short ribs at 99 Ranch today. When selecting it, the top layer looked reasonable -- the marbling appeared normal and the fat-to-meat ratio seemed acceptable, which is why I decided to buy it. However, after opening it at home, I found that the bottom pieces were almost entirely thick layers of fat. The difference in quality between the top and bottom layers was significant. I understand that short ribs naturally contain fat, and I wasn't expecting them to be lean. I was already prepared for them to be on the fattier side. But this went far beyond what would be considered normal -- the overall quality felt inconsistent and disappointing. Consumers rely on what they can see when selecting products. When the visible portion differs so drastically from what's underneath, it raises concerns about how the meat is being packaged. Additionally, compared to online platforms like Weee where customer service is easily accessible, there doesn't seem to be a clear or convenient feedback channel for in-store purchases. That makes the experience even more frustrating. I hope the store can improve quality control and packaging transparency to maintain customer trust.

Just to clarify, this review is strictly for the bakery inside 99 Ranch Market, not the market…read moreitself. I still come here once in a while for Asian ingredients, condiments, and random things I need for the house. I've been to plenty of Asian bakeries over the years, so I was pretty excited to grab a birthday cake from the bakery inside 99 Ranch Market. The cake looked great visually and the price was reasonable at around $32, which honestly made it feel like a solid find at first. Now don't get me wrong, I actually like Asian-style cakes because they're usually lighter, fluffier, and not overly sweet. That balance is what makes them so good. But this one just missed the mark completely. The cake lacked flavor overall, the frosting tasted flat, and even the sponge cake itself didn't have that soft fluffy texture that good Asian bakeries are known for. It looked way more appetizing than it actually tasted. Everyone took a few bites and kind of just stopped eating it. For me, this was probably the most underwhelming Asian bakery cake I've had in a while. I'll still come back to 99 Ranch Market for groceries and Asian ingredients, but I definitely won't be buying another cake from this bakery anytime soon.

And the store is nice and clean. I tried the bulgogi gimbap/kimpab, it was really tasty and nicely made. There's two marinated vegetables in there so it made very flavorful (but not salty). The ingredients are fresh. They currently only have bulgogi and ham, but I hope they will have gobo soon. The sandwich ($6.50) was great as well. The ingredients are fresh and nicely seasoned. A great breakfast or lunch option. The portion is large enough for a meal. There are banchan in the fridge. I bought the radish one, nicely seasoned. There's a hint of spiciness and sweetness, a good balance of the two. I would definitely come back to try out more things, especially the sweet potatoes in the fall/winter and Kimpab. Some of their snacks and packaged items are slightly pricier than some local Korean markets. But you will find things that you can't find elsewhere.

What I really like about H Mart and 90% of the reason I come by semi-regularly is the fresh sushi and sashimi. The fish is always fresh and I've saved a lot of money over the years by getting my sushi fixes here instead of at a restaurant.
