BEWARE! BeastBay almost blew my house up!…read more Another thing to note, if you are considering doing business with them, is that they have an F rating with the Better Business Bureau due to 2 other complaints they did not respond to. I had used BeastBay Plumbing once before when we had a drain problem. They were responsive, and the tech was friendly and informative. He fixed the problem, and we signed up for their loyalty program. I knew our water heater was nearing the end of its lifespan, and I called them to get a quote. Sydney came out and explained the options. I ended up going for the tankless water heater. I also got quotes to replace a kitchen faucet and install a new shower fixture. The techs who showed up were courteous, but they arrived a couple of hours later than I had expected. I anticipated the faucet and shower fixture jobs to go fairly quickly, but they took almost two hours. Then they started work on the water heater. What Sydney hadn't discussed was the need for direct power to the tankless system or a new vent. The tech wanted to open the ceiling up, but as it's a two-story house with a tile roof, that was a hard no. They ended up doing a vent through the side of the house. At first, they said it would be a two-day job, which wasn't mentioned when I booked, but after getting the side vent in, they said they'd finish that day. Here is where things go very, very badly. The next day, I went into the garage to move a car. I was overwhelmed by the smell of gas. I called BeastBay, and the phone center told me to call 911, which I did. In the meantime, I opened the garage door. I realized after I hit the button that, should anything spark, the whole place could go up. Thankfully, it didn't. The fire department came out, pinpointed that BeatBay had not tightened the gas connection to the tankless unit and turned it off. Then began a 2+ hour marathon of calls to BeastBay to get someone out immediately. Except they didn't. I had to call the office 4 times and then had 3 separate conversations with them. In the meantime, Sydney came back out to see what was up. I explained the severity of the gas leak and told him I wasn't happy he hadn't mentioned needing direct power or the need to re-vent from the previous water heater. Sydney indicated there would be a small rebate, and they would service the unit going forward free of charge. The tech showed up, apologized for not securing the gas line, tightened it up, and left. This was a week and a half ago. I heard nothing more from BeastBay. I called the office on Wednesday and asked that they memorialize what Sydney had said during our meeting in writing. The woman who answered, Sarah?, said she'd have to check with Sydney, in a tone that said she didn't believe he had offered anything. She came back and said that was correct, and she'd send it over by email. Nothing was forthcoming. I've called the office twice today, twice no one answered, and the third time it went to a general voicemail. I received a phone call 2 + weeks after the incident. The woman I spoke to apologized, but assumed everything was fine. I explained how VERY unhappy I was with both the work they did and their lack of responsiveness. She said she would talk to the owner and get back to me yesterday or today. No call. AVOID. AVOID. AVOID. To say I'm disappointed in the service is an understatement. This is a massive failure on every front.

What makes this even more frustrating is that I was never shown any camera footage or even told whether a proper camera inspection was actually completed. The entire experience felt more focused on upselling than fixing the actual issue. Shortly after, they started pushing a $24,000 repair contract and repeatedly said "no pressure," while continuing to pressure me into signing immediately. I understand plumbing work can be expensive, but customers deserve transparency, proof of the issues being claimed, and fair pricing for work performed. I highly recommend getting multiple opinions before agreeing to major repairs with this company.

My kitchen sink was clogged for about 1 week since having a 75ft snake through a promotional…read moreplumbing service (not disclosing what company lol) did not work (it had stopped maybe 50ft in and while being retracted, lots of black sludge flew out). During that time, I had broken some copper fitting pipe parts underneath the sink so I did not put them back together to make sure it worked. Luckily, things happened for a reason so I bought new hard plastic pipes to replace everything but water was still slowly flowing out of my dual kitchen sink. I remembered the person who did the snake mentioned it might be time to get a new mainline pipe which meant breaking the walls and slab since I don't have a crawl space equating to 15-20K or an epoxy pipe lining to make it good as new again for 8K; I have no money for any of that so I googled "best ways to unclog a kitchen sink if 75ft snake fails" and was recommended hydro-jetting from AI. I then searched hydro-jetting Livermore and was recommended Diablo Hydro-Jetting immediately on my mobile phone where I was able to view both their website and Yelp reviews before calling 925-277-0200 on a Sunday evening. Fortunately, Jeff answered my call even while eating dinner who reassured me that he was 100% sure that my kitchen sink can be unclogged since they can blast it up to 500ft and if there were to be any complications that the competitive pricing comes with the drain inspection camera as needed. I truly appreciate Jeff's Team; Jose and Alex for taking on this difficult task. Jose was hydro-jetting my kitchen sink while communicating with Alex who was controlling the unit by the van. Initially, Jose and I feared that the black sludge would appear since pushing water with water and it was in fact what had happened where it was caught in a big metal container underneath the kitchen sink. Jose immediate told Alex to turn off the unit and requested to get the portable compact hydro-jet vac to clean out the container before resetting then restarting a 2nd time from the top with the vac on to catch everything as it goes. Then with some luck, we were able to hear the water flowing after it was unclogged, the sound of success! Jose then proceeded to check my cleanout area which was located outside of my house, opened it and made sure that the same sound we heard in the kitchen was heard there as well. And to ensure that my kitchen pipes were clean, Jose went ahead and did the hydro-jetting a couple more times just in case and even had Alex bring cleaning solutions to help wipe away some black sludge that flew to the side of the cabinet wall. The whole process took about 1hr and the invoice has a limited 90day service warranty guaranteeing against future clogs from reoccurring. This was the best investment I made highly recommended and I am very grateful for Jeff, Jose and Alex; they never upsold me anything and they truly are professionals in the field strictly hydro-jetting and nothing else, established in 1994 with over 32yrs of experience! The short review is this: Martin is a wizard! He sucked a 2 lb. Piece of metal out of my main line…read morewith a shop vac, saving me thousands of dollars in repair costs! The details: I called Martin after a clog removal by another company went sideways (probably the topic of a no star review in the future). The first company identified where the problem was, but also caused a spill of sewage inside the house, then quoted me $5k to dig up the pipe and really fix the problem. To no one's surprise, I wasn't happy. So I called AHJ for a second opinion, and Martin answered the call. He spent a good 20 minutes on the phone, asking me detailed questions about the problem, and explaining my options (the other company did none of that). He made no guarantees, but said he thought he could solve the problem, so I asked him to have a look. He was at my house within 3 hours. The line had two objects stuck inside, causing backups. Martin worked to jet out one of the objects out, then used a camera to inspect the entire 80 ft. length of the pipe. The second object was still there, though, and it looked like digging was the only option. However, this is where the real magic happened! The second object was about 12 ft from the clean out, and it was not budging. Martin, however, thinks outside the box. He got out a large shop vac and stuffed the hose down the line. With the help of his camera he aligned the end of the hose with the obstruction and started up the vacuum. It took a while and was not easy work, but Martin eventually pulled out a 8" long, 2 lb. solid steel spring! That's no exaggeration (How that got in there I'll never know). It was Amazing! He also documented everything with his camera and thoroughly explained everything that we could see. So, I now know all about the good, and the bad, of my main sewer line, should any future problem arise. Thank you, Martin, for the exceptional service!

I was called about 5 minutes before the window started to see if I was still available. The technician arrived exactly on time, right at the start of the window! After a short explanation of my needs he just said "OK, let's take a look at the space and talk about it." He explained every step of what they'd do to install a tankless water heater, he looked at the whole area to check for pipes, electrical access, spacing inside and out for a condensation line - making feel very comfortable that it would be planned before the installation to avoid last minute issues. A big plus, he told me he'd be part of the installation team. He also told me I should go ahead and get another few quotes. I think these guys are confident they're giving the prices in the sweet spot of costs. Then we spent time just talking about landscaping and plants! I'm not in a hurry to start this project, it's on my list of improvements and I'm just starting to investigate.
