Finding a good plumber to do the job at a reasonable price, should not be difficult. I asked friends for referrals. I've had to learn the hard way not to call large companies like BF or RR because they'll try to upsell you on things. I digress. I have a lot of plumbing issues with my house. But most immediately I needed my downstairs bathroom to work properly. The bathtub was clogged. My sink needed the p-trap cleaned out because I dropped some things down there and could no longer use it. My toilet kept running. Basically, every single thing in my bathroom had something wrong with it. I've used Google to find plumbers in the past but what I found is that if they can afford to advertise on Google, they're going to pass the costs on to you. Had a backup on all our shower drains on a Saturday night, toilets weren't flushing either. Being in a 1950s house I knew the main septic line was backed up somewhere. After troubleshooting it and failing, I reached out to Concord Rooter 9pm Saturday night. Even though these guys don't have the 24 hour hotline like the big corporate plumbers, they make up for it with just a quick physical response times. I got a message back at 4am, was able to schedule @ about 6:30am for a 8-10am window Sunday morning. Communication was stellar. Tech showed up around 8:15, snaked the main septic line, fixed the issue, and we were on our way to continue an uninterrupted Sunday! I even had the tech quote a couple other problems I've been dealing with, so looking forward to hearing back (hopefully soon ;) Give these guys a shot before you call a 1-800 corporate plumber. Amazing and quick service! I wanted to get an automatic shut off valve installed for my gas meter and Edgar was able to come and provide a free estimate. He was great and very knowledgeable. They answered all my questions and was able to send a technician out the same day in the morning! Their technician Edgar was able to assess my service request and was able to give me an accurate quote and even said he would be able to do the job on the same day! Edgar had great professionalism and performed the job with great expertise paying attention to the small details, like having the piping size information pointing outward so it can be read properly and mounting the pipes flush against the wall creating no gaps in between. A small bottle fell into the toilet during flushing and we were unable to remove it ourselves with a plunger or snake. Marco responded to my request quickly and we had technicians on site within an hour! Edgar and Colin removed the toilet fixture and removed the bottle from inside the fixture. They also helped clear out the main from some tree roots that started penetrating the drain piping underground to improve the drain flow. They were very thorough in their work and explained the process. However, they were not as careful using the auger in the toilet and left many scratches and marks in the fixture. Hoping there is a better way of protecting the fixtures with these types of services. read more

I had a running toilet and instead of replacing the parts (tank needed to be removed to do this), I was told they couldn't do that and would need to replace the entire toilet for $650. Which is much steeper than I wanted to pay for a running toilet. After the tech left when I declined the estimate, I spent $40 on a kit, and took me 2 hours to replace the parts myself. Marco came through the same day within the hour to help us out in a desperate time with water overflowing into our bathroom. I had others tell me the same but the reason I decided with Marco was his demeanor, nicely spoken and he really took the time to explain things to me. When I finally got around to having them do the work, one of his worker, David C. came out. David was very nice and pleasant. Quiet and kind and made sure he wore booties when inside my home. He actually went above and beyond to seal some things unrelated to the work that he saw that could be a potential issue. He didn't have to, and I would not have known, but he seemed just to care. Explained things to me and really did not try to sell or pressure anything else. His work and clean up was impeccable, and if not for the drywall cutout, I wouldn't have known he worked on it.
