Dan is the best. I reached out to him on a Sunday morning because my water heater died. He said he could be there in 30 minutes! He spent an hour+ reviewing some other issues and installed the new heater the following morning. I am so impressed. A genuinely nice person and a very capable plumber. I highly recommend Dan. read more

As luck would have it, Sunday seems to be the day water heaters fail. A chance encounter that same day with a friend came with her recommending Dan. My Sunday call was returned and I sent a few pictures. He was there at 9 on Monday and I had a new water heater with all new fittings and hoses for the price quoted. This guy is a gem! read more

Great service. My tankless water heater went out and they had someone over the next day and got it working. I made a calendar reminder to myself to have them back out in a year to service it so it doesn't break again due to no maintenance haha. read more

Highly recommend Dan for a water heater repair or replacement!! Our water heater recently went out on a Sunday. We knew it was time to just replace it. Monday morning I called Dan based on NextDoor recommendation. He asked for pictures of the unit and even though there were complications due to HVAC placement he confirmed he could have it done that afternoon. He came with an assistant fully prepared to tackle the job. It was not easy but with some out of the box thinking he got the job done quickly and for the same price as quoted. Reasonable prices, honest and reliable!! read more

We had Phillips Water Heater come out when our water heater went out. Dan was quick to respond. We replaced it with a tankless and couldn't be more pleased with the product and Dans work. Highly recommend Phillips Water Heater. read more

Very impressed with Dan Phillips quick response and professionalism. My very old water heater had finally gave out. It was the start of the 4th of July weekend so I wasn't expecting much luck in being able to get any help with this . Was given Dan Phillips number from a friend. He was able to come out and take a look that day. The very next day He was able to find a replacement to fit into the tight space we had and better specs . He did the installation including getting up to code as well. He is very knowledgeable and I highly recommend his services. read more

Dan the owner is an honest competitive priced prompt service. I've used him now for over 10 years. Highly recommend him!

I can't say enough about Phillips Plumbing Services! The Saturday before we left for Italy, we sprung a leak in a coupling (mfgr defect) water pressure found a pin hole and we had water everywhere Dan Phillips had the repair completed in less than an hour, tremendous call to duty. Thank you Dan read more

I first met Dan and Marcelo when we wanted to replace our water heater. From our very first consultation, I knew I'd made the right choice. They are both very friendly, thoughtful, and effective communicators. We were so pleased with the process of installing our tankless unit that we've since hired them to tackle a handful of other plumbing projects. I'm glad to have a trustworthy plumber in my contact list and will happily recommend them to anyone! read more

Had a great experience with Dan and his guys! My water heater blew at about 5pm (I know, great timing). I called Dan and he was out the next morning. He went above and beyond to help check the inside of my house for water damage. Helped to dry out the inside of my wall by cutting a small hole (which he later patched). His prices were very competitive, too. I would recommend Dan to anyone with water heater issues. read more

Dan Phillips Water Heater Service is my go to plumber! Called him this morning and told him I had a leak somewhere. I could barely hear it running but knew when the Water District sent me a text advising me of my high water usage. Dan was here very quickly. Called in his assistant Alberto, while he went to get the parts. Alberto had it fixed within 10 mins! A very muddy job, but these two are welcome in my Covid safe home anytime. Yes, they wore their masks the whole time!! I highly recommend Dan and his crew. He installed our tankless water heater about 10 yrs ago and did our bathroom plumbing too! He has worked on several friends homes as well. Very reliable and reasonable and fair prices. Thank you Dan and Alberto. You are my heros! read more

Today we had issues with our water heater not producing hot water which for me is a must. Tried calling three other places at least and the best they could do was to have someone come out Monday. I then came across Dan and his business and decided to give him a call. Glad I did as he answered quickly and offered to come same day. Estimated about half and hour to an hour and came around the time he quoted. He looked at our water heater and helped out with fixing it. Our water heater doesn't have much time left and I'll be sure to have Dan come out and replace it. Overall Dan was courteous, on time, and knowledgeable on his work and that's hard to come by. read more

A big thank you and shout out to Dan for coming out yesterday and installing the water heater at my son's place. After calling two companies - one who flaked and another that said we had to remove an HVAC before they could do the work, we found Dan. He came out, assessed the situation and was able to do the work with his fabulous team, in under 3 hours (all without disturbing the HVAC). We are incredibly grateful, Dan! read more

Dan Garth Phillips license was suspended because he would not pay workman's comp insurance. He sold a tankless heater and did not install it correctly. He wanted to charge more money to fix the problem. He took advantage of an elderly person. Avoid him. He wanted cash up front and went to the bank with the elderly person. In addition, his license was a contractor's license and not a plumber's license. Mr. Phillips keeps phoning this senior citizen trying to get her to change this review. Intimidation? Harrassment? The customer was not supplied with the owner's manual for the tank-less water heater. Instead one of the neighbor's downloanded the manual from the tank-less water heater. The senior citizen also found out that the pump that came with the Tank-less heater was not installed and instead the very old pump was left. The senior citizen has not received any written communication on how he will resolve any of the problems. read more

We recently had a tankless water heater installed by Dan and I could not be happier! It was over the Thanksgiving Holiday our water heater went out and normally my husband would handle this type of thing but he was busy trying to get our roof back on before the next rain. Our friends, the Guarino's, had Dan install the tankless a few years back and highly recommended him for the job. We didn't hesitate in hiring Dan for the job and I'm so glad we did. Not only did my husband get to continue the roofing Dan even helped him out! He went over and above for my family during the holiday season and I can't thank him enough. This is exactly the kind of business owner I like to support. If only all contractors were as stand-up as Dan...He's a real asset to our community. Happy New Year from The Messier Family! read more

My water heater stopped working and I didn't have hot water for a few weeks so I finally called Dan. He was the only plumber that was willing to do a free consultation. He was super helpful over the phone and when he came to work on mine, he was amazing. He got my warranty people on the phone, spoke to them, came to the conclusion that the 3 year old water heater was broken and got them to agree to give me a brand new one for free. He took my old one to Lowes with his son Sammy, and got a new one. He brought it back and installed it. Within one hour I had hot water. He was very friendly, his son is very knowledgable and I will refer them to anyone who needs a good plumber. read more

Imagine having 12 family members staying at your home and having the water heater leaking on Christmas! I texted Dan Phillips at 7pm on Christmas and he was responding to me within 30 minutes. Less than 20 hours later, I had a new 100 gallon water heater and my 12 guests never missed a drop of hot water. Dan and Marcelo worked quickly and left few traces of their labor. I was grateful for Dan fitting me in. I highly recommend him. read more

We had Dan Phillips install Tankless water heater when our 25 year old tank water heater burst, having Dan install a thankless water not only saved us money each month, our bill went from $69 down to $11 for heating water, we now have unlimited supply of hot water, with 3 daughters it really helps. I would recommend Dan for you water heater repair, he showed up on time, and the price was as quoted. read more

This review is looooong overdue. About a year ago Dan installed a new water heater for us and he was AWESOME! My husband and I had just moved into our new home when we began having issues with our water heater. Turns out our water heater was 17yrs old was leaking water and a little gas. We have a 2yr old and I was scared for his safety, given the gas leak. It was 4:30pm and Dan said he could install next am. I looked at him and asked if there were anyway he could do it same day bc I didn't feel safe with my son in house. He must have seen the concern in my eyes bc he agreed to do it. Dan worked late that night and installed my new water heater and even had to do some carpentry! The peace of mind I had that night when I put my son to sleep was priceless. I am so thankful for Dan. His quality of work and knowledge is excellent. And, that day he showed me the kind of person he is. Highly, highly recommend him!!! read more

I called Dan Phillips to service my Noritz tankless water heater due to a problem where the heater would trip offline during use. I explained the problem to Dan over the phone. He asked a few questions and said he could service the unit that very afternoon. An hour later, he had diagnosed and fixed the problem. Dan is professional, courtesy, responsive and very reasonably priced. In the future, I will always call Dan to service my water heater. read more

If it were possible, I would give Dan a 10 star rating. I called him at 5pm on wednesday and told him our water heater had started to leak. He was at my house an hour later. He said yes the existing water heater was dead. I asked for a recommendation for a new water heater, and he said he would not put back a tank type. Based on his experience, a "tankless" water heater was the way to go. Dan gave me a price that was more than fair, and not a lot more than it would have cost me to buy a replacement, and his price was installed. I made an appointment for two days later, and he showed up early. His professionalism, personality, and quality of work is superb. I would recommend Dan to anyone who want a quality job at a fair price. read more

Our water heater tank had a leak and had to be replaced with a new heater. I googled up plumbers and started calling up folks - Dan was probably the third guy I called and he asked me all the details and got me a quote over the phone (none of the others could do that!). His price was reasonable and he did a great job! He worked around our schedule and I wonder how he gets his work done quick without any help! He is good and I highly recommend him. read more

(Note: This is my first ever Yelp review, but I'm glad I saved it for this business.) A friend recommended Dan when I was having problems with a new thermocouple I installed on my water heater. I'm a DIYer first in most cases, but I finally reached the point where I gave up and wanted a professional. (That, and my wife wanted hot water!) I called Dan on a Saturday, and he returned my call no more than 15 mins later. I described the situation and what I had done. To my surprise, rather than setting up an appointment, Dan walked me through some typical problems and easy solutions, and told me to call back if they didn't work and he would schedule time to come out. Unfortunately, I tried what he told me, but it didn't work. So, called him back again. He took a few seconds to think, and told me one more thing to try. Gave it a try, and it worked. (Hot water again!) My point in this review is that rather than setting up an appointment and charging me whatever he could (since I was desperate), he gave me free advice over the phone which helped me out. I'll definitely use this business in the future, and will highly recommend him to my friends. read more

I'm so sorry it took so long to leave you a review. If I could leave U 10 STARS I would do it. Dan exemplifies the highest degree of professionalism. He is punctual, kind, courteous, and proficient. He installed my Water Heater with ease and was very clean and rapid. When I need service again I will definitely hire Dan because he is the best. To everyone out there, if U need a Plumber no need 2 look any further because Dan is the MAN. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. A1+ read more

There is no one better for plumbing and water heater service than Dan Phillips! I found him when I had an emergency with a valve in my bathroom and then later, a problem with my water heater. He is available, no airs, gets to work and his prices are beyond fair. My water heater was still under warranty and he called the number for me and made arrangements for the company to send the piece that was needed for the water heater. After it arrived, I called and told Dan I had the piece and he came over the next day and installed it. So many companies should take note of this man's wonderful, amazing communication, availability and fairness of price. He is without a doubt the best plumbing and water heater repair person out there. Can't tell you how many plumbers were all about the money and could care less about the nature of the call. Thanks Dan! You're the man! It was my lucky day Mohave found you. J. Bonelli read more

I had a problem with my landscaping well. I had called a friend to look at it to no avail. He suggested I trench up all the lines to find the problem. I've used Dan in the past (and recommended him to several friends) to see if he could make heads or tails of my problem. He came out, and after checking completely, and thinking about our system for just a few minutes, realized there was a connection that had come undone. He saved us thousands of dollars in trenching costs. And my husband and I think he is a genius! He is as honest as the day is long, and very professional. He never makes a mess and is really wonderful at working with these old California houses without adding on unnecessary charges. We love him and you will too. Honest. read more

Dan installed a Noritz Tankless Water Heater in our Castro Valley home yesterday and the whole experience was extremely positive. Dan's exceptional knowledge of the products he sells and his professional installation are second to none. I highly recommend him for any water heater service. I'd definitely give more stars if I could. read more

This guy is amazing. We had our basement backed up with sewage & he came the same day after he finished his work for the day & snaked the line 75 feet at 11:30 pm at night. He is efficient, honest, a very hard worker, and very professional. He can do anything that has to do with construction as well as plumbing. He is very conscientious about doing a great job and making sure the customer is completely taken care of & happy! I'm SO glad to have found a guy that takes pride in his work and has such an incredible work ethic and so much integrity about his work and the type of person he is.
