Best plumbing experience I have had. I called at 3:30 and Mark the owner was at my house by 4pm. Mark is a genuinely nice guy. He assessed the situation and advised there were two routes he could take to try to resolve my problem both having different price points. He advised he would try the cheapest route first and if it did not work he would have to take the more costly route but would only charge me for one or the other. Mark was able to resolve my issue with the cheapest option and he also fixed a garage sink drain for free which I broke while trying to snake it. I contacted Plumbing Geek based on Yelp reviews and through Yelp. Mark responded right away and I needed someone here SAME DAY due to sewage problem - plunging the toilet was causing sewage to come through the shower drain! First it happened in one bathroom, then also in the second bathroom! Yikes. Mark responded right away and advised that 2pm was the earliest someone could come out. Brian advised when he was on his way, and walked us through the problem step by steps with specific prices. After 3 hours of investigating, he discovered that due to piping change from remodel of our master bath, we needed to upgrade our sewage clean out from one way to two-way and he had to come back another day. He was able to make a temporary bandaid so we could use our bathrooms until he could come out. Marco came to look at our very old (circa 90's) shower leak. Unit is not supported by Moen any more and parts are no where to be found. Mark, seasoned plumber joined Marco and was able to replace the gasket spring to stop the leak. So relieved as it was leaking over a gallon an hour. More importantly, I really needed some education from Brian around plumbing for a house that is older (1950s), what I need to look out for, signs of possible leaks before they begin etc. Brian gave me some good insight so that I don't need to wait until something breaks before I fix it. For example, he suggested waiting a couple years from now, then proactively replacing my water heater before the lifespan runs out. I was given a window of 12-2 for Brian's arrival for the next day, and Brian called at 12 to say he'd arrive at 1:00 - how great is that? Our daughter's home insurance required her to have a Moen Water Flo monitor installed at her home in Martinez. Because of her work schedule we helped with scheduling etc. Also, we were required to have Moen Water Flow installed at our home in Penn Valley so kind of knew what was going to happen. Called Plumbing Geek her insurance agent referred them (Farmer's). Called and spoke to Mark and everything went so smoothly from that point on. They were ready to come the next day but we had to wait a couple of days to be there. Marco came out to do the install and what a great guy to work with. Just simply knows his job and troubleshoots anything and it's resolved. After install the next day, had a issue with low water flow and getting hot water. Called Mark again and he was ready to come out in 10 min. What service!! Had to wait until afternoon until someone could be at the house and Marco came back and within 10 minutes they had great and safe water flow and hot water back again. We all recommend Plumbing Geek. They were much easier and faster and was really familiar with the Moen Water Flow monitor and how it worked. Much easier to work with than the plumbing company we had install our monitor. Our daughter now has a plumber she feels confident (and so do we) to come out and tackle any plumbing issues in the future. She has already told her sister so she now has a great plumber to call as well.
