Within a week the full system was scheduled for install. The young men who installed the system were very respectful of the property very respectful of my father since his house is immaculate. You would've never known they were even there they cleaned up so well. They completed all the work in one day, which was shocking they went above and beyond and replaced a water nozzle that had been leaking under his house for who knows how long. After the repairs, he confirmed everything was working properly by showing me the compressor amperage had dropped back to normal and that the system had an 18-degree temperature split. Keon was patient with all of my questions and never made me feel rushed. He explained the pros and cons of the recommended repairs, including the hard-start kit, so I could make an informed decision instead of feeling pressured. We evaluated around 6-7 companies, and off the recommendation of a neighbor we had Letts come out. I was a bit hesitant because you are charged for a minimum of an hour, there is no free estimate. However, in that time he shored up a leak with a temporary patch and had an estimate of how much work it would be to take care of everything, which ended up being much more reasonable than some other places we evaluated. Adam came back when he had enough open schedule to fix everything and some parts were shipped in. An incredibly nice guy, and just an incredibly fair and integrity oriented operation. All the vendors I evaluated were five stars with many reviews, but Letts was the only one that didn't feel like I was being upsold and he was just out there to help me solve my problems. Honestly can't wait to hire them again, which is an absurd thing to say about a plumber, but man what a great experience. I will rave about them to anyone who will listen.

We had been experiencing many problem issues with our air conitioning Until I became supisious after 2 years and too many problems unresolved. The last problem would result in a bill for $4200.l. Then I said to my husband, Enough- We are looking for a new person. Aftrer research and talking with other people, ASAP became our choice. WE were NOT disappointed. The evening before was one of the hotest days in the year. The owner, was at our home in 15 minutes the next morning He just happened to be on an exit from a freeway near our home upon receiving our call. He was amazing- Professional, knew all the issues and problems with both our furnace and Air Conditioner- had integritiy, patience, took time and was very reasonable. The problem was much needed Freenon, wires and parts needed replacing. He also explained that sometimes a particular part can be Cut in order for the systtem to completely shut down. It looked as if ours was definitely cut or somehow fracturerd. We value his honesty and how much loves his job.. ACAP is by far one of the best in the business and they keep their promises. I asked him to replace Everything the other person had redone including the monitor- (which was faulty) Our other air conditioning person had redone the monitor twice and neither kept working. Be careful- Get one to three opinions and see if they agree in what, where and how long before something has to be replaced or redone. I have been sick for a long time- When one of the hotest days of the year, our Air Conditioner breaks down, and a particular part looked broken or cut, I am so glad that we went to another person. I had my furnace and AC unit installed by Curtis and his team over ten years ago, and I've never encountered any issues with either of them. However, I'm compelled to give them a five-star review for their exceptional service, going above and beyond. Recently, we embarked on a yard renovation project that involved relocating the AC unit. Curtis promptly responded to my request and came out to disconnect the unit, allowing the work to commence. Several months later, he returned to reroute the electrical wiring and reinstall the AC unit in its new location. Curtis, of ASAP Heating and Cooling, is a customer service hero. We called because our heater wasn't working. They (the office and Curtis) were very responsive. Curtis came once, found a spider's nest blocking the system as well as a faulty valve. It looked like we'd have to wait possibly as much as a week until an order of said valve arrived. But Curtis called around and found our replacement valve. He returned the next day to install. Now, here comes the heroism. Our 5-pound paranoid toy poodle took it into his very small brain to make a ninja-like attack, nipping Curtis' leg! Fortunately, there is a limit to the strength of a 5-pound toy poodle's bite. And fortunately, Curtis was wearing jeans. Still, it was an unpleasant surprise. And Curtis didn't walk out. He politely and professionally finished fixing our heater. His bill is very reasonable. I greatly appreciated their consideration of cleanliness-- they went as far as laying plastic all inside our closet where the attic access was, to ensure nothing got on our clothes, laid tarps all over the floor, and even removed the closet door to ensure the glass mirror wasn't at risk of breaking or getting dirty. I bought a swamp cooler from Curtis a few years back. he was the best price and had quick service. he was very pleasant to deal with and also his carpenter who built the stand for my cooler. after several years of having the cooler things do go out and need repair or replacement. I called Curtis and he promptly came out to investigate and repair/replace problem. most company's won't have such good follow-up AFTER they sold you the item, but not ASAP heating & cooling. At the beginning of a 5 day heat wave my A/C goes out. I called Curtis and he came here the next day. He fixed it and charged a reasonable price. I will definetly use him again. On a side note, I also called 3 other places in the hope that somebody would be able to come out that day. The first call went to Haddon (who installed my system) and after leaving 2 messages ,they still have not called me back 5 days later. A new Gas Heater was installed by this company about 2 years ago with 10 years labor/parts warranty. Heater did not ignite the gas and I tried to to reach the company for a long time with no luck. Nobody answered my calls, nobody returned my voice messages. There is no email or office address, so I could not reach them at all. Curtis replied to me within 10 minutes at 8 p.m. on a Monday evening. First warm day of the year and my AC was blowing warm air. He gave me a two hour window for the following day and texted me when he was on his way so I could meet him at the house. He knows his stuff and quickly diagnosed the problem as low freon. If you are considering using Environmental Heating and Air Solutions (EHA Solutions)--even through…read morethe Costco program--please read this first and look elsewhere. We paid over $36,000 for a flagship Lennox Signature Series heat pump system, and the entire experience has been an absolute nightmare of safety violations, incompetence, and broken contracts. Here are the documented facts of our installation: 1. Safety Hazards & Property Damage During the install, the crew disconnected our gas line during unistall of our gas furnace without shutting off the main valve, causing gas to leak into our home on two separate occasions. They also haphazardly stored heavy, explosive oxygen tanks and oil inside our plastic deck box, permanently deforming and damaging our property and creating fire hazard. 2. Immediate System Failures & "Vaporware" Fixes Within the first 24 hours, the system suffered critical electrical shutdowns, throwing "Inverter DC Peak Faults" and shutting off our heat every morning. The system's own diagnostic panel showed impossible voltage spikes (550V) and 0.0 subcooling (wrong refrigerant readings). Instead of fixing it, EHA technicians repeatedly dismissed these hard mechanical failures as mere "display glitches." We later found out from Lennox engineering that the inverter error is a known defect with no current fix other than a theoretical future software update. 3. Unauthorized Modifications & Broken Zoning EHA breached our contract. They certified our existing ductwork as "adequate" in writing, but then performed unapproved structural modifications to our ducts without a signed Change Order. As a result, they completely broke our zoning system. 4. Severe Compressor Vibration and Unprofessionalism They mounted our variable-capacity outdoor unit on a field-fabricated, angle-iron stand, creating a severe harmonic vibration that wakes us up in the middle of the night. When they came back to "fix" it, they wedged isolation pads under the connection brackets without our permission or awareness, making the noise even worse. To top it off, during an onsite visit, the Lennox field technician was confrontational and actually told us directly that he would never replace his own gas furnace with a heat pump--a stunning admission about the very product they just sold us. We have officially demanded a full removal of the equipment and a full refund through Costco, and we are escalating this to the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB). Do not trust this company with your home, your safety, or your money.

Of the four quotes we recieved, Tyndall HVAC was the only one who did not try to up-sale us. The other companies gave us outrageous quotes (lowest one was $21k) that included work that we didn't need. Peter listened carefully, and without judgement to our predicament. Then offered us exactly what we needed, with three different options, and explained the difference between each. Turns out all we needed was the heat pump, and Tyndall was able to utilize our existing ducting, which was only a year old. The unit we decided on was the option with an incredible warranty that is also transferable. You know? Like how companies used to all be here?? American pride. Thank you Tyndall HVAC, for your values and professionalism, at a time in our country that unfortunately seems to be lacking this moral aptitude.

Paul, the owner from MechPros HVAC came over the weekend to do the assessment and consultation. It was very helpful be able to do it over the weekend so I didn't have to take time off from work. He was on time, communicated well, and very thorough. Among the half a dozen vendors I contacted, he was among the few that truly listened to my input instead of trying to upsell or push options I wasn't interested in. After comparing all the quotes, MechPros' quote was very competitive. I decided to go with them and scheduled the job which was able to start quickly in about a week after signing the contract. On the scheduled day, Will and Kieran, the two installation crew members, arrived right on time. They were courteous, personable, and professional, and did a good job. They kept the job site clean and neat with drop clothes with minimum disruption. After two days of work, the installation was done. They cleaned up nicely, took away all the disposable materials, and restored everything back to where things were. The installation job was done very neatly in the attic and backyard. I can tell they are proud of their work too. The new system is much better than the system it replaced. After the system started up, I noticed some issues. Paul was very responsive and sent a technician immediately to check it out. After a repair that wasn't successful, he personally came out and concluded that the issue was related to the equipment. Paul took responsibility and ownership of addressing the equipment problem under warranty with the manufacturer. He sped up the resolution by fronting the cost of providing replacement components and dealing with the warranty replacement parts separately to reduce the system down time. I appreciate MechPros HVAC and Paul for taking ownership and having customer service as a top priority. After the problem was resolved, MechPros also helped coordinate the city inspection to secure the final permit approval. I would not hesitate to recommend MechPros HVAC for anyone who needs HVAC system services.
