Amazing thing about isolated local neighborhood gems like Pizzuto's is the food is amazing and its quality is superior and no hype... It's tucked into the fabric of Seward Park and frequented by locals. Italian food is my comfort food so when I dine I love love love places like this joint. You walk in and greeted like you live next door. You're seated and the oven hot bread is at your table in minutes. I'm asked can I get you a beverage and handed a menu. Now given after a preview of menu it's gonna be a veal piccata night and that's accompanied by spaghetti aglio e olio. Like OMG my two favorite dishes combined on one plate... say it isn't so . No salad tonight cause it's all about the veal, and for you folks who hate veal well "fuhgeddaboudit" cause I like it! After a small wait the main event arrives and folks it's delicious. Its tender and picata sauce is overwhelming with lemony sensations. I twirled pieces of veal and spaghetti aglio e olio on my spoon for the most amazing combination of tastes. Feeling satisfied and complete I didn't have desert which actually looked great. Who dosent love Spumoni ice cream when dining Italian style but tonight I didn't have the capacity to entertain another bite. Let's just say my meal was AWESOME! Now a little about the ambiance of Pizzutos. It's kinda stripped down. No fancy decor which is a blessing. These folks put the money in the product and not fancy settings. Good food is why I keep coming back and that's the bottom line... Dine local places like this cause it Makes America Great Again!

Amazing grand reopening! Beautiful artworks. Wonderful service especially on a busy night. The salad so tasty . Chicken carbonara was incredible. The pizza was taken home to enjoy.

This is my life long favorite restaurant. They've switched owners/management a couple of times, but the vibes have always stayed pretty similar. It's American Italian food, very homestyle. My go-to order is the tortellini alfetta or the gnocchi. The tortellini alfetta is a garlic-y cream sauce with prawns. It has such a complex flavor and I've asked for more details on what is in the sauce but it is a secret! Their gnocchi is very soft and tender. It is clearly made in house. The new owner acts as the main server most of the nights. He checks in with every table many times.

Rock solid Southern, Italian-American fare here in a delightful setting. For old time classic like Parmesan and other red sauce drenched Italian favorites. Loved the Eggplant and Chicken parmigiana. The pizza is on point too !

This place was close to our Airbnb when we were here on vacation so we walked over for dinner on our first night and really enjoyed it! It's a cute cozy little place with very good service and the pasta was delicious! I had the penne with meat sauce and my husband had the meat ravioli and we both had leftovers! Staff was very attentive! We really enjoyed the whole experience!

My friend took me to this place for the first time and OMG I was in heaven! Everything from the bread to the Italian soda and pasta I ordered was so authentic! Customer service was amazing and the servers were very tentative! The atmosphere made me feel like I was in a little ma and pa restaurant in Italy! I will definitely come back again!

Service may take a little while because it's always full, and rightfully so. Portions are huge and the food is hella bomb.

Mediocre pizza, soggy salads, dated pasta dished. Court of last resort for neighborhood eats.

If you can find parking in the Cap Hill area I would definitely consider this as an option for a sweet treat. I think the prices are really reasonable considering some of the other options. Staff: 5/5 (nice) Sanitation: 5/5 (clean) Soft serve w/syrups (5/5) I've had most of the syrups that they offer with their vanilla soft serve. The soft serve itself is a really creamy and rich vanilla milk flavor. I would say it's closer to that Asian milk flavor if you know what I mean. I think the hojicha syrup is my favorite out of all the ones I've tried so far. It has a really nice roasty flavor and not something you can find at most other places. The matcha I would say is my second favorite. The flavor of the matcha syrup is definitely lighter compared to the hojicha but still is a nice compliment to the soft serve. The black sesame would be the lowest on my list out of the, all since I felt like the flavor was too nutty like it was a blend of sesame and potentially a nut. Overall I would definitely go back for the hojicha but if you're not into that there's definitely solid options for other flavors.

One night, after a dinner nearby, I went here to try the soft serve. It was absolutely phenomenal. The choice of flavors isn't much, but the amount and variety of toppings is awesome. I went with the vanilla and chocolate swirl, with butterscotch hard shell and reese's pieces. Firstly, the texture was so smooth and creamy. It had a great mix of both flavors, and was at the perfect temperature. But the toppings are really what makes this. Hard shell is not something you find often, but being able to break this butterscotch and eat the crunchiness along with the melting ice cream was amazing. The excessive amount of reese's pieces added saltiness and even more texture to the overall thing. It was just wonderful overall. Given that, I was really excited to get the fried chicken sandwich, which I did a week later. Unfortunately, it was really bad. I was just confused at first. How could things have gone so wrong here. I'd heard a lot of good things about the fried chicken sandwich. Yet no amount of online reviews could rescue the reality that was in my hands. The chicken was just awful. There was a ton of breading, practically thicker than the chicken itself. But somehow it just failed to be crunchy - it just felt soggy with every bite. Over-breaded chicken is never a great sign, and the inside was terrible - barely even tasting like chicken. It was super overcooked; no juice at all. The fried chicken piece was also super thin compared to how large the buns were. Just nothing worked on this sandwich at all - including the excessive amount of mayo. It's one of the worst fried chicken sandwiches I've had. Price-wise, the chicken sandwich is actually not too expensive at around $11. The soft serve is about half that, but at a pretty good portion. It's tough for me to come up with an overall rating because the soft serve was so good, followed by a mind-bogglingly bad sandwich. I guess I'd only recommend you come here for dessert. 6.5/10

I honestly didn't realize this was a window shop. We walked into the neighboring restaurant thinking it was attached. Once we figured out it was outside and a window it was easy to navigate.
