Red wine - wonderful

Delicious, cozy, and great service! We stayed in a nearby AirBNB and found this. I think it might've been our favorite restaurant of our whole Seattle trip. Highly recommend their wine selection!

Amazing thing about isolated local neighborhood gems like Pizzuto's is the food is amazing and its quality is superior and no hype... It's tucked into the fabric of Seward Park and frequented by locals. Italian food is my comfort food so when I dine I love love love places like this joint. You walk in and greeted like you live next door. You're seated and the oven hot bread is at your table in minutes. I'm asked can I get you a beverage and handed a menu. Now given after a preview of menu it's gonna be a veal piccata night and that's accompanied by spaghetti aglio e olio. Like OMG my two favorite dishes combined on one plate... say it isn't so . No salad tonight cause it's all about the veal, and for you folks who hate veal well "fuhgeddaboudit" cause I like it! After a small wait the main event arrives and folks it's delicious. Its tender and picata sauce is overwhelming with lemony sensations. I twirled pieces of veal and spaghetti aglio e olio on my spoon for the most amazing combination of tastes. Feeling satisfied and complete I didn't have desert which actually looked great. Who dosent love Spumoni ice cream when dining Italian style but tonight I didn't have the capacity to entertain another bite. Let's just say my meal was AWESOME! Now a little about the ambiance of Pizzutos. It's kinda stripped down. No fancy decor which is a blessing. These folks put the money in the product and not fancy settings. Good food is why I keep coming back and that's the bottom line... Dine local places like this cause it Makes America Great Again!

Amazing grand reopening! Beautiful artworks. Wonderful service especially on a busy night. The salad so tasty . Chicken carbonara was incredible. The pizza was taken home to enjoy.

This is my life long favorite restaurant. They've switched owners/management a couple of times, but the vibes have always stayed pretty similar. It's American Italian food, very homestyle. My go-to order is the tortellini alfetta or the gnocchi. The tortellini alfetta is a garlic-y cream sauce with prawns. It has such a complex flavor and I've asked for more details on what is in the sauce but it is a secret! Their gnocchi is very soft and tender. It is clearly made in house. The new owner acts as the main server most of the nights. He checks in with every table many times.

Rock solid Southern, Italian-American fare here in a delightful setting. For old time classic like Parmesan and other red sauce drenched Italian favorites. Loved the Eggplant and Chicken parmigiana. The pizza is on point too !

My friend took me to this place for the first time and OMG I was in heaven! Everything from the bread to the Italian soda and pasta I ordered was so authentic! Customer service was amazing and the servers were very tentative! The atmosphere made me feel like I was in a little ma and pa restaurant in Italy! I will definitely come back again!

This place was close to our Airbnb when we were here on vacation so we walked over for dinner on our first night and really enjoyed it! It's a cute cozy little place with very good service and the pasta was delicious! I had the penne with meat sauce and my husband had the meat ravioli and we both had leftovers! Staff was very attentive! We really enjoyed the whole experience!

I had the brisket plate, which came with cornbread and a couple sides of my choosing - which were mac & cheese and jerk pork fried rice. Also had a jerk chicken leg. The main part of this is obviously the brisket. Unlike your American brisket, which is smoked dry until it holds its shape in slices, the brisket here seemed to have braising included, which yields itself to the much darker color, likely from sugar caramelization. It was slightly disappointing though, as most pieces were pretty lean. While I wouldn't call them super dry, they were certainly lacking some flavor. There was a couple pieces that were fatty, but the rest of the eating experience consisted of pulling strands of meat apart from each other rather than being able to chomp down and let your teeth do the work. You needed to dip this in the sweet barbecue-like sauce to get the best flavor. As for the sides, the mac and cheese was very creamy, but the pasta felt a bit too soft. I liked the slight amount of pepper added, but thought there could've been more. On the jerk pork fried rice, the rice was good, but it didn't seem like they put much effort in the pork here - it was pretty dry. The cornbread was amazing though. It's some of the best cornbread I've had. Amazingly moist and breaks apart so easily. I was pretty happy I got the jerk chicken leg. This meat was a lot better in my opinion. The level of seasoning is perfect - the spicy, smoky jerk flavor permeates every inch of the chicken skin. The extremely spicy and mouth-shocking dark jerk sauce that comes with this is sure to give you a jolt as well. I would say this is expensive - but not crazy. The jerk chicken is priced well at around $7, and you do get a ton of food for the $30 or so that the barbecue plate will cost you. The plate is easily enough for two people. Overall, I'd say it's solid barbecue with an inventive spin, but nothing crazy. 7.75/10

I was really vacillating between 4 and 5 stars here since my final rating for this place is 4.5/5…read more I'm choosing to rate this 5 stars at the end because of high potential, great staff and hearty food! This indoor restaurant is close to the streets of Rainier Ave and there is unmarked parking all along S Grand St you can utilize, but it can be nearly full like on the Saturday noon around 12:30pm I came here with parents. It is in the same building as the Melody Jabooda Apartments, and is pretty compact inside. There's several small tables inside than can fit a max of 3 people, yet the interior muffles the bulk of the noisy traffic on Rainier Ave. There's some decor on the walls and near the counter where the kitchen is, and the counter to order is almost directly in front of the entrance. Phone reception inside was iffy, as I had to go outside the building to check into here on the Yelp app. Seating was full, mostly from patrons ordering and taking their goods to go but with some actually dining in. For a place that serves banh mi, they also have pho, bun, Vietnamese coffee, lattes and matcha drinks. Several of the drinks are also available in hot formats, and all drinks cost the same except for Vietnamese coffee and lattes which cost $1.95 and $1 less before tax, respectively. There are different price tags for the hot drinks. Banh mi sandwiches also come in bags that look like they could be used for roasted coffee beans - they're dark brown and are about the same size as store-bought coffee bean bags. What a coincidence given they also serve coffee! We got many things from here: - Old school Vietnamese coffee ($7, hot): according to my dad (and me after having several sips), this unfortunately tasted more like American coffee; it was missing sweetened condensed milk to make it more like so, and the coffee itself wasn't strong. It seems regular milk was used as the sweetener instead. - Oolong house blend ($8.95): your standard milk tea. I added both grass jelly and tapioca onto this. Mom liked this and had no complaints; I had a sip and thought it was pretty good too. - Grilled pork banh mi sandwich ($9.95, medium toast): I partially shared this one with my mom. Grilled pork is all right at best, otherwise it has all the works of a great banh mi. We'd still prefer the one from Q Bakery for now. - Butterfly matcha: the butterfly pea flower in this drink created a blue hue inside the drink in its own layer and essentially enhanced the ceremonial matcha taste a lot more, since it tasted more woody and earthier than usual once I mixed everything. It's also sweet enough to satisfy any matcha lover out there. I loved this drink a lot and would highly recommend! - House special banh mi sandwich ($10.95, medium toast): this sandwich is much larger than I expected, and comes with Vietnamese ham, pork ham, pate, jalapeños and what looked like Chinese sausage along with the same works as the grilled pork. Everything went well together and it was loaded! All meats were fresh and just this sandwich alone made me really full. Another high recommend! I really appreciated the staff for asking all the clarifying questions for our banh mi sandwiches and drinks, like how toasted we wanted our sandwiches, the sweetness and ice levels of our drinks, and toppings for those drinks. They also let me and other patrons in line know of wait times for our food, with my order being quoted about 15 minutes and coming out by that timeframe. This place has been open since September of last year, and they have a decked out menu for anyone wanting to grab both food and drink. I'm definitely coming back to try their other drinks and sandwiches!

Everything came out fast except the fish sauce wings, which took about 25 minutes -- and she gave us a heads-up about that. The banh mi bread was very fresh, the pâté was warm, and you can tell it's made daily. Both banh mis had a great amount of meat. The pho also tasted super fresh, with the right amount of seasoning and four big pieces of oxtail. Their offerings are elaborate as their hours are limited; there's no simplicity here. I particularly enjoy the Thanksgiving sandwich as it should not be as good as it is but hits all the right notes in terms of savory meets sweet. The biggest downside I have is they're about as warm as the Arctic ocean. I've gotten to the point that I only order on-line so I can avoid talking to the employees as they appear and behave like they would rather be anywhere else than there. I've never come in there and felt welcomed, more like I'm intruding in on someone's space. Ordering on-line has allowed me to grab and go so I minimize the disruption. I've never dined at the restaurant which is minimalistic functional basic decor. The to-go containers typically hold though I've had times when the sauce leaks through on the way back. While I don't frequently dine here I am not avoiding it either. I order on-line and it is much easier.
