    Risotto con Gamberi

We love trying new places. This place has been on our list to try for a while. We tried a couple months ago and it was randomly closed for the evening (totally understandable with a mom and pop shop). I had the Spaghetti Divavolati with Prawns which was delicious. Just the right amount of spice. I was afraid it looked dry when it came out but it wasn't at all. I was shocked that it came with 10 prawns. My dining partner enjoyed the Risotto with Prawns and Panchetta. Which also had a surprising 10 prawns and was super cheesy. Both dishes were 8.5/10. We will definitely be back. I would love to try their wood fired pizza.

Took one of my best friend here for her birthday. I honestly would have never known about this place if it wasn't on her list of places to try. inside is pretty spacious and dimly lit when I got here. I'm assuming it's run by a family because it looks like their kids work there as well. I waited for my friend before ordering. We started with fried artichoke hearts, I ordered the tagliatelle con gamberi and she ordered the pappardelle alla gorgonzola e pistacchi. The artichokes were really good and I love the sauce that came with that dish. I honestly really liked my pasta dish. It had a great wine flavor but not so over powering. The one thing I will note is that it was on the saltier side. Both of us were talking about how salty it was. I tried a bit of my friends pasta and thought the pistachio sauce was great until the gorgonzola hit haha. I'd definitely prefer a different cheese since gorgonzola isn't a personal favorite of mine but it was really good! I had a really nice dinner here and drinks were so good. Service was great! It was pretty busy at one point so I didn't mind waiting to get our food order in since it gave us time to catch up.

    Gnocchi with four cheeses. Delicious!

The gnocchi here is amazing and we had them add some chicken to a dish and the chicken was sliced and cooked perfectly!

Tl;Dr Going to be a bit harsher cause it needs to be called out, but the food was good. Came here with friends before going over to the airport, so we decided to hit up a nice small restaurant that seemed promising yet should be hidden enough to not have a long line. My friends and I definitely do not resemble the rest of the clientele here. Staff felt a bit cold - something I did not really expect from a homey-vibed Italian restaurant. It took a while for staff to take our order - and our server had taken an order from people that seated after us. We thought of speeding up the process by closing our menus to signal that we were ready to order, but we eventually had to flag the server down. When taking the order, it seemed like the server did not want to be waiting our table - not a big deal ~ I used to work in food service and I definitely understand the feeling. But it seemed like when waiting for the other table that seated after us, the servers mood did a 180. We waited 40 minutes between ordering and receiving food. And we had seen the table seated after us receive their food. Vibes were not right. We had debated on just walking out because of that. But decided to wait a bit more. The server finally came and we suspect that they heard us, since they became much more accommodating to us. Once we finished our food, I did give in and left a standard tip - but looking back, I wonder if I should've given less - if any at all. I'm going to give the benefit the doubt to the restaurant and say that they do seem extremely short staffed - in the kitchen and outside. Food wise - the food was great. The sauce was extra thick - and so on the heavier side - so be prepared to leave with a food coma. Portion size was quite generous. They use quite a large amount of parsley - just a heads up. This was my last meal in Seattle for a while, and I definitely hope to comeback to reaffirm that the sluggish service is just a lack of staff issue and not because of who I am.

Came across this restaurant on yelp and decided to stop in for a business trip while traveling with my colleagues and was appalled at this atrocious experience. To start, as they say "first impressions are everything" & wow, upon arrival Lindsey the owner sat us and it took about 15 minutes to approach us, we noticed they were completely understaffed but decided to give it a chance. Our server (the owner) never gave us a smile or any ounce of friendliness while taking our order, in fact she was short abrasive and offensive with her facial gestures, not even allowing each person to finish their order before moving on to the next; nevertheless we ordered our food and awaited our drinks. 25 minutes later one of our items (tagliatelle with tomato sauce no sausage) was served, she didn't stop to ask if we wanted Parmesan or any accompaniment, only the rest of your food will be out in a few minutes.... 15 minutes later the rest of our food arrived while our pasta went cold and EVERYTHING was Completely awful and underwhelming. Our wood fired pizza was burnt on top and soggy on the bottle and it was all entirely overpriced. Having lived in Italy, I can definitely vouch and say this was a sad and painful attempt at "authentic Italian food". The only redeeming factor would normally be it's family owned and operated but considering the offensive service we received from the owner herself I am disgusted with the entire experience. Our bill was about $300 for our table we asked for one item, a soup to he returned and although untouched were still charged. Extremely upsetting. Enter at your own risk.

Scratch-made Italian food is a love language for me, and this trattoria is the manifestation of that! I noticed the attention to detail with the decor making it feel like you're in a trattoria in Northern Italy. The chef owner, Michele, is INCREDIBLY passionate about his dishes. You could see the sparkle in his eye when he was presenting it to you and explaining the dish. His wife, Jeanette, is your host and makes you feel right at home. The place is filled with regulars that clearly love the food AND the owners. THIS is what sets small restaurants apart from mainstream chains. Ask for the Carne Cruda di Piedmont, also known as Italian style beef tartare! It is not on the menu but they WILL make it for you! The pasta is rave-worthy from the Gnocchi al Brasato that features scratch made gnocchi and braised beef over a rich and creamy fondue, to the Cacio e Pepe presented to you tableside. Even the olive tapenade, something that seems so simple, is noteworthy! And truly do NOT skip dessert! The Dolce Trio gives you a flight of 3 desserts that was exactly the finish we needed but I am absolutely coming back for the affogato and the cannoli.

We ordered the tiramisu, and it came out looking nothing like the photos from other visits. Like it was scooped onto the plate and plopped down. The ladyfingers were hard and crunchy, and the whipped cream was completely flat. We took a few bites and left the rest. To make matters worse, we could hear employees bickering with each other loudly enough from the dining room, they moved it from the bar area and they continued the disagreement in the kitchen. Between the lack of customer service, disappointing dessert, and overall value for the price, we won't be back.

The FIRST time we went, we ordered from the dinner menu and when I tell you... EVERYTHING WAS SO GOOD. We got the Jambalaya Grits BOMBBBB!!! The Cajun Chicken Pasta good. The Strawberry Chicken Arugula Salad refreshing and flavorful. And the Shrimp Delight another winner! Honestly, after that meal we were already talking about coming back for dinner again because there were SO many other things we wanted to try. So this time we came back for BRUNCH, and y'all... the Shrimp & Grits were GOOD. But the real surprise for me was the Country Fried Steak & Eggs with that jalapeño gravy. I did NOT realize I needed jalapeño gravy in my life like that. That sauce was EVERYTHING! The drinks were solid, the vibes were good, and the service was great. The desserts were probably the only thing that didn't really wow us they were kinda mid BUT honestly, everything else was easily a 10/10 in my book. And YES... we're definitely coming back. There are still too many things on that menu I need to try! BRUNCH TIP: If you want brunch, make sure you go between 9:00 AM-2:00 PM.
