    Risotto con Gamberi

We love trying new places. This place has been on our list to try for a while. We tried a couple months ago and it was randomly closed for the evening (totally understandable with a mom and pop shop). I had the Spaghetti Divavolati with Prawns which was delicious. Just the right amount of spice. I was afraid it looked dry when it came out but it wasn't at all. I was shocked that it came with 10 prawns. My dining partner enjoyed the Risotto with Prawns and Panchetta. Which also had a surprising 10 prawns and was super cheesy. Both dishes were 8.5/10. We will definitely be back. I would love to try their wood fired pizza.

    Gnocchi with four cheeses. Delicious!

The gnocchi here is amazing and we had them add some chicken to a dish and the chicken was sliced and cooked perfectly!

Tl;Dr Going to be a bit harsher cause it needs to be called out, but the food was good. Came here with friends before going over to the airport, so we decided to hit up a nice small restaurant that seemed promising yet should be hidden enough to not have a long line. My friends and I definitely do not resemble the rest of the clientele here. Staff felt a bit cold - something I did not really expect from a homey-vibed Italian restaurant. It took a while for staff to take our order - and our server had taken an order from people that seated after us. We thought of speeding up the process by closing our menus to signal that we were ready to order, but we eventually had to flag the server down. When taking the order, it seemed like the server did not want to be waiting our table - not a big deal ~ I used to work in food service and I definitely understand the feeling. But it seemed like when waiting for the other table that seated after us, the servers mood did a 180. We waited 40 minutes between ordering and receiving food. And we had seen the table seated after us receive their food. Vibes were not right. We had debated on just walking out because of that. But decided to wait a bit more. The server finally came and we suspect that they heard us, since they became much more accommodating to us. Once we finished our food, I did give in and left a standard tip - but looking back, I wonder if I should've given less - if any at all. I'm going to give the benefit the doubt to the restaurant and say that they do seem extremely short staffed - in the kitchen and outside. Food wise - the food was great. The sauce was extra thick - and so on the heavier side - so be prepared to leave with a food coma. Portion size was quite generous. They use quite a large amount of parsley - just a heads up. This was my last meal in Seattle for a while, and I definitely hope to comeback to reaffirm that the sluggish service is just a lack of staff issue and not because of who I am.

Came across this restaurant on yelp and decided to stop in for a business trip while traveling with my colleagues and was appalled at this atrocious experience. To start, as they say "first impressions are everything" & wow, upon arrival Lindsey the owner sat us and it took about 15 minutes to approach us, we noticed they were completely understaffed but decided to give it a chance. Our server (the owner) never gave us a smile or any ounce of friendliness while taking our order, in fact she was short abrasive and offensive with her facial gestures, not even allowing each person to finish their order before moving on to the next; nevertheless we ordered our food and awaited our drinks. 25 minutes later one of our items (tagliatelle with tomato sauce no sausage) was served, she didn't stop to ask if we wanted Parmesan or any accompaniment, only the rest of your food will be out in a few minutes.... 15 minutes later the rest of our food arrived while our pasta went cold and EVERYTHING was Completely awful and underwhelming. Our wood fired pizza was burnt on top and soggy on the bottle and it was all entirely overpriced. Having lived in Italy, I can definitely vouch and say this was a sad and painful attempt at "authentic Italian food". The only redeeming factor would normally be it's family owned and operated but considering the offensive service we received from the owner herself I am disgusted with the entire experience. Our bill was about $300 for our table we asked for one item, a soup to he returned and although untouched were still charged. Extremely upsetting. Enter at your own risk.

I literally made my boyfriend take me here twice in one week because of how mind-blowing good their pizza is! Stevie's sells whole 12" pizzas (made for 2-3 people) and pizza by the slice. They unfortunately don't do half and half pizzas, so you and you companion(s) have to be on the same page if your ordering a whole pizza. On my first visit, I ordered a slice of their classic PEPPERONI ($5.50) and made it a Normie (+$2). I'm not sure who Normie is, but Normie is an absolute genius for adding burrata and hot honey to pizza - a literal kiss from heaven. The burrata and hot honey combo adds lots of complex flavors to your slice - so you get the savory, the sweet, and the spicy in every bite - and complex textures with the crispy chewy crust and the soft and creamy burrata. The pepperoni was fantastic and the sourdough crust was fresh and out of this world! On my second visit, I got a slice of their MUSHROOM GORGONZOLA ($6) and you already know I had to make it a Normie (+$2). The mushrooms were nice and earthy and while this pizza didn't have tomato sauce, it had a nice olive oil base and was super delicious. They rotate their pizza slices daily, but always have your standard cheese and pepperoni. If you're getting a slice, they warm up the slice for you right after you order so the cheese gets super gooey and the crust gets super crunchy. I haven't gotten a whole pizza from them yet, but the make it fresh on the spot. Make sure to grab extra napkins cause the slices do get oily and therefore messy. Service is great and the people working there are super friendly. It takes them only about 5 minutes to warm up a slice of pizza and they always welcome you in and thank you for coming on your way out. In terms of atmosphere, they have limited indoor seating and a couple of outdoor tables. They have merch featuring their dog logo and a couple of arcade machines too. Parking is limited to street-parking only, but I didn't have any issues finding a spot a couple of blocks down. Overall: 5/5 for pizza, 5/5 for service, 4/5 for atmosphere.

This is busy when other competing pizza places on the sme street are empty. The staff is nice and attentive, and the kitchen works at a nonstop pace, keeping up with to-go and in-house orders. This is a funky old-style place with a bar in the back, and additional seating with video games and games for children. I love when a place is family friendly without having to say it. It conveys that, truly, all family types are welcome. Now, in the past, I have ordered the pizza and didn't leave it to my spouse's whim. Sometimes, extreme clarity is best. I asked for extra cheese, which translated into cheese with ricotta. Proletariat always makes thin - crust pizza that is perfect. Soft and yet with just enough crunch to make it some of the best pizza crust I have had. Although I did not enjoy this pizza as much as I have the others, it is not a reflection of Proletariat, but my spouse's ability to convey an order. Again, the pizza was as ordered, but not what my spouse was asked to order. I would have pizza from here nearly every day of the year, but I would need to start diabetes and high cholesterol medicine. Now, I have talked about my crazed love of Caesar salad. This salad is more olive oil-based and not creamy. It has a fresh, rich anchovy flavor, and I enjoy adding more anchovies to the salad. The croutons are just soft enough to really enjoy, but not so hard that you should take a pickaxe to them before eating them. These croutons are amazing, with a nice crunch. The salad comes with parmesan cheese shavings, and they are not stingy with the cheese as well. Oftentimes, restaurants and pizza joints will dole out the parmesan as if it were the last block of cheese on earth - not at Proletariat. This is one place I always look forward to having this Caesar salad. My spouse and I went with 2 friends, and they enjoyed their pizza as well. The volume in the place is not too loud as to be able to engage in your own conversation.
