I love, love this pizza place. I have been in this area for over 20 years and would prefer it over just about any other pizza I can think of. This is a one-location pizza place. This is busy when other competing pizza places on the sme street are empty. The staff is nice and attentive, and the kitchen works at a nonstop pace, keeping up with to-go and in-house orders. This is a funky old-style place with a bar in the back, and additional seating with video games and games for children. I love when a place is family friendly without having to say it. It conveys that, truly, all family types are welcome. Now, in the past, I have ordered the pizza and didn't leave it to my spouse's whim. Sometimes, extreme clarity is best. I asked for extra cheese, which translated into cheese with ricotta. Proletariat always makes thin - crust pizza that is perfect. Soft and yet with just enough crunch to make it some of the best pizza crust I have had. Although I did not enjoy this pizza as much as I have the others, it is not a reflection of Proletariat, but my spouse's ability to convey an order. Again, the pizza was as ordered, but not what my spouse was asked to order. I would have pizza from here nearly every day of the year, but I would need to start diabetes and high cholesterol medicine. Now, I have talked about my crazed love of Caesar salad. This salad is more olive oil-based and not creamy. It has a fresh, rich anchovy flavor, and I enjoy adding more anchovies to the salad. The croutons are just soft enough to really enjoy, but not so hard that you should take a pickaxe to them before eating them. These croutons are amazing, with a nice crunch. The salad comes with parmesan cheese shavings, and they are not stingy with the cheese as well. Oftentimes, restaurants and pizza joints will dole out the parmesan as if it were the last block of cheese on earth - not at Proletariat. This is one place I always look forward to having this Caesar salad. My spouse and I went with 2 friends, and they enjoyed their pizza as well. Fantastic pizza, unique crust. Full-flavored, unlike Dominos pizza. Crust was thinner than I'd like, but I did not see any options for different crusts. I ordered the "Rat Pack", which is pepperoni, Italian sausage, prosciutto and bacon, but i subbed the bacon for black olives. Proletariat pizza comes only in two sizes, 12" and 18" -- no in-between. That's okay. A bit spendy for a 12" pizza. $22. The Caesar: came with a lemon vinagrette alternative dressing--different, but still delicious. It was topped with shaved parmesan vs. shredded--this is the mark of class. The Tiramisu: FABULOUS. With pronounced coffee-soaked cake and traditional Mascarpone cheese. I have driven past Proletariat Pizza many times coming from Burien headed to West Seattle. Finally, I had the opportunity to check out a long time bookmark on two occasions on 5/17/25 and 5/31/25. White Center is one of those areas south of Seattle that is not overly gentrified, yet. A variety of retail spots, cafes, restaurants, bars that keeps its identity intact for now. Not trying to be hipster - just there collectively that piques interest and remains fascinating. First visit was with The Homie. He had dined onsite there before and enjoyed it. We decided to order a large 18 inch pizza with half Ham & Egg (Zoe's Proscuitto w/soft cooked eggs) and the other half Two Meats (Zoe's Pepperoni w/Mondo and Sons Italian sausage). Pizza was brought out fresh from the oven. Delicious thin crust pizza with the perfect amount of toppings, cheese, and assertive tomato sauce base. I enjoyed my two slices of each combo. The rest of the pizza was devoured by The Homie on two occasions. Interior decor featured flat screens, posted artwork from younger dining patrons, and photos of sponsored sports teams. Menu offerings include cheesy bread, salads, pizza faves, and signature pizza combos. There's also Molly Moon ice cream available onsite. Orders can be made at the counter, table side, as takeout, or via QR code onsite. Friendly, upbeat restaurant staff. My second visit was solo onsite where I had a pepperoni slice. The ice water that was also brought out to me really hit the spot, especially after having an ice cream treat at another nearby business. Located in the middle of downtown White Center, Proletariat Pizza is a gem find! My friends and I grabbed a table at around 7:30pm on a Friday night, and they were bustling with both dine-in and takeout orders. We were fortunate to get a table for four. Proletariat Pizza prides itself in being "the pizza that made White Center famous", at least according to their pizza box. They serve over a different types of pizzas and serve a few different types of salads and local ice cream as well. They make the pizza on the spot and so you know it's fresh! My boyfriend and I split a 18" pizza and did half CAPRESE half TWO MEATS. We also ordered a CHICKEN CAESAR SALAD which might've been the freshest and tastiest Caesar salad I've ever had! The dressing tasted homemade, the lettuce and croutons were crunchy, and the chicken was not overly salty. The CAPRESE had fresh mozzarella cheese with fresh sliced tomatoes on top of pesto and drizzled with balsamic sauce. While tasty, I thought that the pizza could've used a bit more balsamic sauce and sweetness to balance out the otherwise savory pizza. The crust though was absolutely delicious and you can tell it's homemade because of the simultaneously chewy and tender texture. I didn't eat much of the TWO MEATS, but it had both pepperoni and Italian sausage which my boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed. He also took a bite of our friend's A-BIZZY pizza which was apparently the favorite of the table. It's funny because our server was apparently the guy who invented the A-Bizzy, but he didn't tell us that until after we had finished as he wanted our honest opinion. With pepperoni, sausage, Mama's Lil' peppers, and fresh garlic on pesto basil sauce, it's an absolute spice and flavor bomb! The atmosphere is extremely casual and the least bit fancy. The walls are decorated with marker and paper drawings from guests (similar to Beth's Cafe). They have an arcade in the back, which is a little loud depending on where you're seated. The bathrooms are clean. Service is alright. We got our salad within 15 minute after ordering and our pizza within 25 minutes or so after ordering as it takes a while for the pizzas to bake. Our server was very kind and friendly. I think the least appealing part about this place is the parking situation. It's street parking only; there is back-in-only angled parking on the street that they share with the other tenants, but it's quite busy and hard to grab a spot, especially when other cars are closely tailing you. I gave up on finding a spot after driving through, but was fortunate to find a spot a few streets down and anyway from the main downtown area. Tried this pizza joint for the first time because of all the great reviews. The reviews did not exaggerate. This is by far the best pizza place I've been to in Western Washington. I first tried 1/2 Ham and Egg and 1/2 Potato because they were the most reviewed. All I can say is that the regular patrons have great taste. That was the most unique, flavorful, tasty pizza I've ever had! Who thought potatos on a pizza would be a winner? Not me. I'm a big eater, so it didn't just stop there. My buddy and I tried the 1/2 Pesto Chicken and 1/2 White Center White. I can't say this enough, the seasoning was perfect. The garlic on both wasn't overpowering, yet made a notable impact on the overall flavor. It's hard to balance garlic and they did an amazing job. Then I had enough space leftover for tiramisu. I would highly recommend an after dinner dessert that is perfectly light and fluffy and satisfies your sweet tooth. Perfect restaurant experience. I have ordered both for pickup and dine-in at this place for years. I have never had any issues. Great pizza and wonderful service. On 11/14/25, I decided to place an order for delivery in West Seattle, quite close to the Proletariat location. I had done this twice before without issue. Over an hour after I placed the order, a half hour after it should have arrived, I called to ask about the status of delivery and was told it would arrive any minute. While on the phone with whom I believed was the manager who was kind and patient, another person got on the phone and told me that they were at the address I provided: 9622-A 16th Ave SW and accused me of providing the incorrect address. I didn't realize until later that this person was reading out the Proletariat address. I don't understand why an employee would not be aware of the address at which they worked. I confirmed that I did indeed provide the house address. The confused and rude employee got off the phone. I was then told again that the pizza would arrive any minute. Any minute to me would be within five minutes. By this time, it had been almost two hours since I placed the order. I called back ten minutes later and unfortunately the incompetent employee who accused me of providing an apartment address answered (I don't think they ever realized that they relayed the Proletariat address, they probably still don't). I asked about the status of the pizza, they asked "did you just call?" I answered, "yes, I have called multiple times after being told my pizza would be here any minute and it's been over an hour." Their response was to accuse me of providing the wrong name. A man's name. Not only did this make no sense, (I have a clear woman's voice), but a second accusation from someone who is clearly not in their right mind. I know this all sounds preposterous, relaying it still baffles me. But this individual who seems to either be on several kinds of drugs that prevent them from making any sense of anything, or feels as though they can say whatever they like regardless of logic or sensibility, should not be working in a capacity where they are communicating or interacting with customers. classic pizza spot that sells a nice variety of whole pies and some slices. The service and ambience is super friendly. You can tell that they're well loved by the community. We ordered a half and half of the margherita and favorite. You can watch them make your pizzas as well which is cool. The pizzas themselves came out piping hot. Slightly on the greasy side, but the flavors of both were really good. I really liked the crust as well. Nice and fluffy with a slight crunch, not too thin and not too thick. My one complaint is that the cheese had hardened after cooling a bit which gave it a weird texture. Otherwise, really good pizza and variety. The price is fair too! read more

My friends and I were hanging out one Friday evening, then decided we would need to eat dinner at some point. So, we settled on pizza. My two friends have ordered food from here before, but I haven't. We ordered a large pizza (pesto chicken), a salad, and garlic bread to bring back to the house to indulge. The place was pretty empty when we walked in and placed the order for the following: Pesto Chicken Sausage: This had no chicken sausage only pesto Pepperoni Pizza: Was okay pretty basic pepperoni pizza Margherita Pizza: Sliced tomatoes with barely any mozzarella and basil This is think crust pizza which I like but there were barely any toppings. So I am not sure what am I paying for per slice here. Honestly nothing more to write about this place. I have visited this place frequently for over a decade (wow!) and I think this once bright star has diminished from what it once was. *Disclaimer, I'm entirely referring to the only measure that I care about, which is their food quality (as opposed to their level of service or ambiance). Over the years, the downward shift in their pizza quality has, in my opinion, taken place; with the most noticeable change occurring over the last year (2023-2024). Most notably the quality of the pizza crust has greatly fallen; becoming minimal and flat. Furthermore, the performance of the dough and sauce has suffered as well. I would suspect cost cutting measures have been put in to place but I can't say for certain. I'm not sure if the drop in quality has to do with the execution (baking), the ingredients, or the assembly (staff/pizza makers). With all that said, the pizza actually still delivers a 4/5 (formerly 5/5) rating on its merits. In my opinion, their stars has dropped to a 3 relative to the strength that the pizza once was. Sadly, it seems like its current operation largely relies on the memory of what it once was. read more

We've been coming here for about 7+ years, it's definitely a local staple. We always order The Favorite, soooooo good. Ingredients are fresh and flavorful, and consistently amazing every time. We now live about an hour away and still stop in to get a pizza to go when we can. I've tried a LOT of pizza places and this one is still my number one. We will buy a large pizza and then freeze any leftovers. Such a nice treat when you don't live close! It hits up awesome in an air fryer, like new again. I love the crust, while I know they say it's not NY style, it's gotta be the closest to. Service is always good with a really cool atmosphere. I've never considered Seattle much of. pizza town, to be honest. You can spend a lot for something better, but the average priced places are pretty average in taste too. To me this is a place to go for something other than Mexican and Vietnamese in White Center. :-) Is it great pizza? Nah. Is it bad pizza? Nope. I guess I can say, "Not as good as Pagliacci's, not as bad as PCC." Honestly I'm usually just underwhelmed, though it's much better than the place across and down the street which closed, and was replaced by Zeek's. That was vile. I haven't tried Zeek's yet. Proletariat Pizza is pretty good! They are located in White Center and they are open for take out during COVID-19. Their pizza is similar in style to Pagliacci Pizza. We ordered on their website, which was really easy to use. We went for a large pizza (18 inches!). It wasn't obvious at first, but you can definitely do a half and half pizza. Just make sure you choose the more expensive pizza first, otherwise you won't be given the right options. We choose half The Classic (pepperoni, mushrooms, black olives) and half The Real Hawaiian (spam, pineapple). Surprisingly, I really liked the Hawaiian but I thought the Classic was a little salty. Proletariat Pizza also has starters (various salads), drinks (soft drinks, beer, etc.), and desserts (tiramisu or ice cream). They offer gluten free pizzas as well, but only 12 inch. Had a movie night with my siblings and cousin. My sister wanted pizza so she ordered from here. She got the margarita and the favorite. Some of the best pizza we've ever had. Prefect crust, size and toppings. Wasn't greasy like other pizza. The crust was soft and buttery. I really like margarita pizza in general so it was a favorite here. The favorite was good as well but on the saltier side. I think the ranch was made in house and also very tasty but my sister only got one so it was kind of interesting to see everyone kind of fight over it.
