Mushroom Pie
Tara H.

I actually went to the UW location, but that location closed recently. I ordered their mushroom pizza which was very good. It was similar to NY style pizza because there was a crisp to the pizza and foldable. We also ordered the scallion garlic knots which came with some amazing marinara. Overall, I enjoyed our food here a lot and will need to make a trip to their west Seattle location.

Great frozen drinks served in heavy crystal glasses and garnished with bing cherries and an orange slice. Dimly lit bar with a few TVs on for sports. Lots of bar seating on swivel seats with backs. Pizza was so-so on par with Mario's or Pagliacci's reheated pizza by the slice. Would have liked more sauce, stringier and greasier cheese (pizza seemed dry). I'd come back but mostly for the drinks.

Detroit Square Meat Lovers Pie

Came here for some late night pizza with a friend. Parking wasn't too bad since there was plenty of street parking nearby, but I imagine during rush hour it might be hard to find parking. Upon sitting down, we ordered slices of the meat lovers pizza and their daily special, a beer cheese and hotdogs pizza. The beer cheese pizza was solid, with a nice crust and tasty overall, but it wasn't super standout for anything really. The meat lovers pizza was a bit dissapointing unfortunately, as the cheese inside wasn't very gooey but instead kinda just formed a thick block of cheese. Overall it was not bad and had the benefit of being open super late at night, but I don't think I'll be dying to come back again.

Detroit Square Meat Lovers Pie and special

Went here for a quick bite after walking in the area and it seemed fun. Service was nice and fast. Pizza is what you would expect, the special was Interestring with the lettuce on top -- tasted kinds like a taco pizza. Overall it's what you expect for a pizza spot near a college. Decent pizza for price, little divey, not bad. Had some tv screens there that was playing the mariners game Would go if I needed something in a pinch

Worst pizza ever!

I eat pizza as much as I can and often. I live in West Seattle and I had not tried Supreme yet. This Detroit style slice was hard as a rock, burnt and tasted like it was 5 days old! Definitely the worst pizza around. Spend the extra money and get MOTO!

Flop jalop and burnt what a waste of money

No,no do not waste your money. Burnt and floppy way to much cheese couldn't taste the sauce. Stingy on toppings just save your money. Lame.

cheese pizza

ordered a regular cheese pizza to go. they only have one size pizza, about $25, with the only other option being to buy single slices. the first thing i noticed is this is a very garlic-forward sauce, overpowering the taste of tomato and even the cheese. the crust was soft and chewy- not crispy like true NY pizza. A nice touch was fresh basil leaves on top of the cheese... but would not call this new york style at all. i lived in NYC for two years- the closest seattle has to NY style pizza in my opinion is hot mama's in cap hill.

While I do reserve a perfect score for places you should plan your day around. I feel this place will absolutely fit into your day or evening plans as a pit stop. Pizza: The best of its kind in West Seattle. Perhaps top 5 in the city. Drinks: They do have tap cocktails. They're balanced but just mid...it's a dive bar. Vibe: Capitol Hill / dive. Service: Fast and friendly. They seem (from what i saw) to take care of their regulars.

Pepperoni slice
Molly L.

They have some affordable pizza that is pretty good and can also be warmed up fast. We came here during the day in between lunch and dinner and there were various pies in the display -- cheese, pepperoni, veggie, breadsticks, etc. I think they also make garlic knots upon request. I think the only thing that might be difficult with eating here was that there was very little air circulation inside the shop -- it was warm and could have used some air either more fans or the AC. But overall the $6 slices were pretty affordable and convenient.

My buddy ordered a veggie pizza and it was very good. Nothing mushy, everything seasoned, and just a delicious pizza. Highly recommend.

Next time I would like to order more item and take time to dine in. Too bad we were in a hurry. Heads up the restaurant is a bit loud so not the best for an intimate meal. It's the kind of place where you settle in, sip something cold, and feel like the night's off to a solid start before a concert at the Moore. The salad came out looking vibrant, but the flavors didn't land. The olives took over the whole bowl, and the seasoning felt off and I couldn't pinpoint it. Fresh ingredients, such as the peas were the best by far but the balance just wasn't there. The pizza was fine, not bad, not memorable. It didn't leave you thinking about it later. The charcuterie board wasn't anything to rave about either just an average plate. Still, the vibe alone makes it a decent spot to meet up, snack, and enjoy the space! The service was great!

I also tried the garden of eatin' pizza; this one was alright as it reminded me a lot of a typical supreme pizza (very flavorful cremini mushrooms though). A little overpriced for what it is, but would say it's for those who want to "stick to what they know." Decent pizza crust; fluffy but borderline overly floppy. Wished the garlic knots had more of a garlic, vampire-defying, punch to them like the knots at NYC pizzerias. Much more pizza-crust-taste-forward; would say order these if you just want extra carbs for your pints of beer. :p Great service! Gentleman who assisted me with my takeout order was super welcoming and friendly. Pizzeria has a casual low-light chill bar ambiance. Overall I'd say it's worth checking this spot out if you're curious about the greenhouse pizza. Also not a bad choice if you're in the neighborhood and have a hankering for some pizza in general.

Upon arrival after 9:00 pm on a Tuesday, we asked to set in one of the booth but they said no because of their strict policy for the booth the used x 3 or more people. Meanwhile, all 4 booth were empty. The kind waitress then offered to move us to the bar booth if something opened up, we kindly agreed and simple went on with our night at different table. While on the table my friend picked up 3 small little flowers from the base and said happy birthday to me, and I put the little flowers on my hair, then I told the waitress I hope you don't mind, my friend gave this little flowers from the table it is my birthday, to which the waitress replied happy birthday, I have no problem with that!. Then comes the manager, and tells me sarcastically, that is a cute flower but it is not yours to take, you should have asked permission anyways, I told him with a smile, but is my birthday and it a tiny flower may I keep it? He stated no, because other costumers will come in and there are no flowers in the table. I told him to replace it with another from another table and he said No give it back now please. It is not yours to take!!! Me, already feeling unwelcome and missed treated, yet still stayed but couldn't even finish my pizza because of how upset I was. I told my friend I wanted to leave. After closing the tab, I walked upfront and waited for my friend. Upon walking outside, the managers comes after us screaming "hey give me back the flower" you took it, at this point I was still walking ahead on my friend and I can hear the manager yelling "she stole it" give it back now, she is a thief, you come here to steal is that it? I repeatedly, told him I didn't take it and even open my purse and told him to come search it, but he stormed back in while insulting and yelling to me IN PUBLIC! - I was deeply humiliated in front of absolute strangers. I didn't see my friend taking the flower either, and if he did, he never gave it to me otherwise, I would have throw it at his face. The luck of hospitality, professionalism, and simply compassion and dignity from this person is Absolutely Unacceptable. I was treated with far more respect and the Four Seasons (and they did give me flowers), than this ridiculous place. It is a shame that the owner would allow someone like this to be the front of the business. And I feel deeply sorry for their employees to have to endure this person as I saw on their eyes the embarrassment they felt. I deserve nothing else but an apology for the way I was treated. I too work in hospitality, I know what is like to provide costumer service providing healthcare and never in my wildest days would I ever treat anyone with such disrespect and unprofessionalism. I recommend this person to be replace or re train. Otherwise it will only affect the business.

They are the nicest people ever! So friendly and accommodating and always smiling. Their pride in their restaurant really shows in their care of the food and customers. I had the infamous meatball sandwich and my wife had the chicken carbonara. They gave us each a slice of their pizza for free as they had a bit extra from one that just came out of the oven. The food was prepared in front of you which is always interesting to watch and the charming brick pizza oven was directly in front of us so we could watch that process as well. Pretty cool. There are a wide variety of pizzas and pastas, desserts and drinks (alcohol too!) available on the menu. We ate at at the bar and had a wonderful conversation with the owners as they bustled about in the open cooking area. I enjoyed my meatball sandwich which had great crunchy crusty bread that held in the contents of melted cheese, red sauce and meatballs. A great choice to get when there. My wife liked her chicken carbonara and as the portion was pretty large, we were able to take some home for later. Extra yummy for me (ha ha)! The complimentary pizza slices were a hit for us as well. Napoli style with thin crust and flavorful toppings. We found out that Goli created the restaurant's design with the face of a woman that looks a lot like Venus in "The Birth of Venus" painting by Botticelli in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence Italy (just sayin'). Except that this logo has hair made of pasta! Good enough to eat! Give this place a try. You'll leave with a big smile on your faces!

We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Unfortunately, the experience is consistently dampened by one of weekend bartenders. As others have mentioned, it's that taller bartender (Alex?) who repeatedly comes across as arrogant and dismissive to us; a less than desirable character trait for a bartender. It's such a pity because that is the sole reason we now lead our groups to spend their money and patronize other establishments instead. Recently we did give Diller another try, but sadly it's the same story and thus this feedback. Hospitality makes a HUGE difference. Bartending isn't just about making a good drink and expecting tips. As someone who tended bar all over Seattle for 23 years, I know how much energy and attitude shape a guest's night. When the service feels cold and passive-aggressively rude, it's hard to feel good about the experience. It's disappointing, because this place has so much potential. Hopefully management considers bringing in weekend staff whose personalities reflect the warmth and atmosphere the space deserves, there are plenty of more qualified bartenders in Seattle that would gladly fill their spot.
