Overall not a bad spot, we accidentally came during their trivia time on Tuesday an it was almost completely full by the time we left. The pepperoni pizza ($25) is show-stopping with two different shapes of pepperonis including the little ones that curl up into little bowls of grease mmmmm! I am not sure whether I am just sensitive to pepperoni but it was so, so salty to me. The crust was nice and thin and crispy-burnt though. I would like to try some of the other creative sounding flavors (carbonara whaaat?) We also got the burrata ($17) and it was lovely. This was hands down the WORST pizza I have ever had. First, it was expensive as hell. Second, they were rather inflexible in allowing me to customize one of their "off the menu" pizzas. You can't drop one extra topping into it? No, they said. You need to do a build your own... and that would've increased the cost of our pizza by about another eight dollars. If I rated on last night alone, I'd give 3.5 stars but I've had their pizza as takeout before and that rounded it up to a 4 star. We walked in last night and it was very smokey. Like your hair and coat will smell like smoke the next morning and smoke was visible in the air. That should've been a warning for things to come. It's a small space but cozy. They have booths and some tall tables, bar seating, and two tops along the bar area. They had Christmas movies on which was nice. It took a little while to get seated. They were busy with a party and it seemed to impact a lot. The staff were friendly and were clearly working hard trying to get everyone taken care of. We got beers and two pizzas. It took a long time to get our pizzas. I didn't time it, but was over 45 min from the time we sat to the time we got our food. We weren't in a rush so it was fine but then the pizzas both came out burnt. They were edible and we were pretty hungry at that point. So we ate most of them. We also didn't know how long it would take to get new ones. They weren't bad and given our experience with them in the past, I know the food is good. But even good food isn't great when burnt. We let the person who took our order know it was burnt. He said he'd let them know (maybe the person cooking the pizzas?). But I'm pretty sure the person who sent out the pizza knew they were burnt. Maybe we should've spoke up sooner and just asked for new pizzas. But I just wish they hadn't tried to pawn off burnt food to us. read more

Considering all pizza in Seattle is extremely overpriced, definitely some of the best pizza I've had on the west coast. Taste like a solid NY/NJ pizza. Not your average neighborhood pizza joint. Creative and very flavorful thin crust pizzas; we've tried three, and our favorite so far is the carbonara. The real standout is the cocktails, which would do a buzzy upscale restaurant proud. Aperitivo and digestivo-heavy, but well-balanced; so far we've sampled some of the sweeter and the more bitter ones, as well as one non-alcoholic (the Dumas), and every one was perfectly executed. They're also great at accommodating my partner's food allergies (soy and potato). That includes being honest when something is not made in-house and they don't know the ingredients; but also some pleasant surprises (e.g. their "XO" is actually a garlic sauce and doesn't have any soy). We've been in on Sundays and the vibe was chill and neighborhoody. The prices are higher than a typical neighborhood joint, but the quality is absolutely worth it. read more

I've been here 1x so far - and so far so good! Nice thin crust pizza with gourmet toppings and rich flavors. We had chicory salad, and two pizzas - one mushroom and one Nduja. The salad was very good but I think it would have been even better with breadcrumbs / croutons for extra crunch. The mushroom pizza was my favorite - super garlicky, and lots of flavor - top shelf ingredients. The crust was near perfect in terms of flavor and texture (I think the only way I would have liked it even more is if the dough had been aged longer / had a sour taste and a bit more char from the oven - but again this is only personal preference). The Nduja was RICH almost like eating a very good Sunday gravy / meat sauce. I was glad to have the mushroom pizza to alternate slices with the Nduja else I think having only this pizza might have been a bit too heavy for me. The first time I came here about a month ago excellent service and excellent food. This is the 2nd time coming here.....pizza was ok, and the service was annoying. Pay $100 for pizza 2 cokes and 1 ranch please don't act like we are a burden. I'm in service and I know folks have a bad day. But damn leaving a tip tonight makes me UPSET. But since we are POC I will never allow others to create a stigma that we don't tip for service/poor service. We weren't happy with the top pizza. Wow, what an above & beyond experience at Jackson Street Pizza Lounge. The bar was filled with friendly faces, catchy music and scents of Italy. We were seated within 15 minutes but they took our drink orders while we swayed. Three of us split a pizza and two appetizers. The burrata is made in house and its milky texture pairs perfectly with buttery bites of Crostini. Ours sat on a vegetable medley with notes of truffle. The pizza is some of the best I've had in Seattle and the meatballs soft and juicy. The drinks were strong and the artwork only added to the energy in the lounge. We did take out from here last weekend. Seems like a very chill place inside - they had basketball on tv. They were a little slow to get my order from the kitchen but hopefully it would be a bit different dining in. Dogs seem welcome. I love to support local business, so it's sad to have to write this review. Ordered 2 pizzas online on Sat. night, for carryout. Website said it'd be ready in about half an hour, at 7:20. I (perhaps naively) took that at face value and showed up at that time. When I got there, to a crowded and extremely loud venue, I checked-in with a server (this process is not clearly defined by any kind of signage, I just kinda had to try and seek out someone to assist me) and they asked the kitchen about my order. The server came back, laughingly telling me it 'was gonna be a while', because of all the Doordash orders that had come in. What does that mean? Do Doordash orders get priority over regular online carryout orders? More likely, the ETA on the order website that told me when the pizza would be ready is just set to 1/2 hour from when the order is placed instead of taking into account how busy the restaurant is. If true, this would really be a bizarre choice. Anyway, the server wasn't joking. I was there at 7:20 (the order had been put in at 6:50), and I left with the 2 pizzas at 8:20. After standing and waiting for an hour. I got an apology, but no other comp for my trouble. I was offered water at one point. The pizza was hot and fresh when I got it home. Was it worth the wait? In a word: no. It was a fine pizza, but not even really worth a 30 min wait, much less a 90 min one. The pepperoni one was all right: sauce was ok, topping quantity/quality was fine, crust was. very thin and very dark (but not burnt) and as such already had a distinct bitter aftertaste, which drowned out any other subtle flavors. Overall, kind of a mottled, even incoherent, flavor package. We are unlikely to order here again. We will stick to the far superior Moto and other local pizza venues with better food who believe in taking care of their patrons. 2 Stars since the food wasn't terrible, but the service and logistics here seem to be lackluster at best. read more

Our friend's band was performing here during the recent Jackson Street Jazz festival. We live far away but did make the journey to Seattle for the show and for the amazing pizza. I stopped in here about a week or more ago with my brother. We just wanted to hang out a bit and talk over a bite. You can't call it cheap. A very slim pepperoni pizza and a Coke came to 34 dollars, and the can (can!) of Coke alone was $4. My brother ordered no drink, which kept our tab from exceeding the $40 mark. The price wouldn't be a complaint if the food was worth the cost. My main complaint was the nothingness of the pizza. After my first slice, I actually pulled it apart to make sure there was cheese on the pizza. That's how little cheese they put on top. I thought they had made a mistake, but nope. I've been here several times before, but the quality has absolutely nosedived since the beginning of summer. If I had baked a pizza shell with a little sauce on top with some pepperoni it would have been a better meal at 1/6th the cost. read more

Solid 3.5 star pizza but I'll round down since it took forever to get our drinks and food and the restaurant felt like a sauna since there is no AC. We got the chorizo/pineapple/hot honey, the Italian sausage/red onion/arugula pesto, and the pepperoni. Toppings were interesting and tasty but the dough/crust left much to be desired as it was way too dense and coated with semolina flour which left a grainy texture and got everywhere. Price point is also pretty high for pizza that is not that great. Some minor changes would go a long way. I'd suggest increasing hydration of the dough for a lighter, airy texture and using AP or bread flour on the peel and bottom of the dough after stretching instead of semolina. I would be down to come back as the vibes and drinks are good but I hope the pizza improves! read more

We snagged the last table to listen to an amazing quartet as my son plays in his HS jazz band and wanted to hear some live jazz. It was just a lucky coincidence that they had to die for pies! Leaving reviews is not my thing but feel like I have to. I emailed them after eating there when they first opened but never heard back. So I'll say something here. The service was good. The drinks were fine. The pizza was fine. The problem is the price and the quantity. The place is *absurdly* overpriced. More than $6 for a slice of pizza that is half the size of something you'd pay a similar price for elsewhere. My only visit came late one night when I happened to be there with two of the guys who work in the kitchen at Reckless Noodles down the street dropped in. I was alone and overheard them say something to the effect of "wonder if these will be nice, fat slice-pie pieces for $6 bucks - seems expensive". Needless to say, they were surprised when their food arrived. I've lived in the neighborhood for almost 15 years. I would walk with my kids to All Purpose Pizza which became Central Pizza. Haven't been back to Jackson St since my one and only visit and I won't even entertain the idea of bringing my kids there. I know some people wouldn't blink when paying $150 for pizza night with the family. I'm not one of those guys and most families aren't.
