We love this place until they have shows you have to pay for and then get kicked out because the comedian can't take a little banter. I am not even saying heckling literally banter. In fact two responses from my friend who was 100000 times funnier than the comedian on stage, what happened to comedians that for one are funny and two can take interaction. I mean he is asking if the crowd and one someone is funnier we get kicked out? Over an answer to how many kids his mom had? Wear a pair of diapers you suck ass comedians ! You couldn't handle that you were not funny and someone said a comment? I seriously want my money back. I have lived on Beacon for 35 years and would love to support this "new community". Oh, I like this place. I visited Clock-Out Lounge for a themed trivia night and had a blast! The bar had Washington crafts on tap, the staff were chill and the food was de-lish! What more could you want in a setting? The place is pretty spacious with plenty of high-top tables and chairs set up, facing the stage. They have plenty of shows here, including themed trivia nights. With trivia nights, I liked that Breezy Town Pizza, the sister restaurant of Windy City Pie partook in the theme, serving themed pies and slices. The bar also had a specialty cocktail for trivia. Just remember that whole pies take about 20 or so minutes to make, so order ahead of time! I ordered a slice of the meatball pizza, one of the themed pizzas from The Office trivia night and it was better than I anticipated! I was never huge on deep dish pizza until I tried Breezy Town and Windy City Pie, as the crust somehow has that perfect crunchy crust on the edges but is perfectly soft on the inside. How do they do it?! But I like this scene a lot. Located in Beacon Hill, it's a laidback and casual bar that a true Washingtonian would appreciate. Yes, flannels are to be spotted and IPAs galore. As a Chicago native, I was elated to find a place with decent pizza. Not thin crust, not stuffed...but somewhere in between...Detroit style maybe?? Clever flavors too. I'm typically not a pizza fan, but (man I wish I could remember the name) I inhaled two pieces of a pizza that was a dead ringer tasting like a cheeseburger. It had pickles on it, chopped onion, MUSTARD, ground beef...basically all the things not allowed on a pizza. It was so weirdly delicious that I went back the next week to bring my kiddo. Alas, the menu changes often and we missed it! There's vegan and salad options as well...all interesting and worth trying. I'm also typically a no crust eater. Not here. It is so crunchy and chewy at the same time...trust me, your plate will not have a crumb left on it. The lack of star is only because the bar and pizza are separate tabs. Kind of a pain, but not a huge deal. Happy hour from 4-6 during the week I believe too...this has become my go-to spot for hanging out while my kiddo does parkour at Jefferson. Also an event space. The Clock-Out Lounge is a lot of things to a lot of people but this past weekend it happened to be the venue of my wedding and holy smokes did they knock it out if the park. We hosted 170 guests, a five-piece Linda Ronstadt tribute act (Stonepony, look em up they crushed), a 13-foot-long animatronic dinosaur, and a disco/boogie afterparty (DJ Montel Spinozza from pdx, also freaking incredible) and it was all handled with such seeming ease we're still scratching our heads days later. Owner/operator Jodi worked with us months in advance to make sure everything was to our liking, with no detail ever being regarded as too big or small. Ramona and her crew behind the bar kept our mob of thirsty guests with drinks in their hands at all times and we marveled that at no point did we ever look over at the line and observe choke points. They also had plenty of options for our guests that don't drink alcohol and didn't make that feel like an afterthought like so many establishments foolishly do. The addition of Shady Lane Pizza is something that everyone on the south end is buzzing about and is the perfect match for the Clock Out's difficult-to-describe hifi-dive vibe. Finally, the band sounded amazing and Chris the sound engineer had it dialed in just right. The only thing that's a little annoying is that our wedding guests still won't stop messaging us about how effing amazing the night was and it's all thanks to the Clock-Out and it's wonderful crew. I went to Clock-Out on a weekday night to get together with some friends. Plenty of parking in the front and we were lucky enough to get in by the end of happy hour to score some $5 pints. Happy hour is 4-6 pm. The beer was great and it paired well with the pepperoni pan pizza (shown in photo). Breezy Town pizza makes the pizza. Honestly, one of the best pizza I have ever had in Seattle. The pricing was around ~$20 but the size was generous (we shared it amongst 6 people), each of us had one medium sized slice. The ambiance is low key, at least on the weekdays. Not sure how it is on the weekends but they do live shows. I'll definitely check them out on a weekend some day. Clock-out Lounge also houses Breezytown Pizza, the younger sister of Windy City Pies in Interbay. The pizza is Chicago deep dish style with doughy, thick crust and plenty of cheese and toppings. Although these places co-locate, you need to order separately. The bar will take care of your thirst, while the far register is where you can order your food. You can order one of their preset pizzas, or customize with your favorite toppings. They also sell slices if you don't want to commit to a full pizza (each pizza will feed 3 people). The pizza was delicious. Doughy crust, plenty of toppings and came out bubbling hot. My husband and I ate 4 of the 6 pieces and reheated the remainder for breakfast the next morning (just as good the next day). The lounge itself has a divey feel. I can't eat pizza, and I still give this place 5 stars. Clock-Out is one of the quirkiest, most authentic bars in all of Seattle. It's a truly inclusive environment that allows people to have fun, and also geek out about anything and everything. Only downside is if you're gluten free and plan on going here, plan your night accordingly because there's not really food you can eat, and there's not really anything else in walking distance you can go to. Make sure you check the hours before you go! We messed up and didn't and we had to kill an hour here (and other than a couple of Asian grocery stores, there isn't much to see). Breezy Town Pizza is tucked INSIDE of Clock-Out Lounge. It's a little pizza counter inside of a fun-looking bar. Both spots are so chill, but that might be because we got in about 15 minutes after opening - it looks like the kind of place that really picks up after dark. The pizza is deep-dish Chicago-style pizza and it is DELICIOUS. Boyfriend got the pepperoni paint job and I got something with mushrooms and potatoes and it was SO GOOD, but I can't remember the name. MAN, that was a good show, and I have now declared: Clockout is the cutest, bestest, grooviest, coolest little spot to see a show in the South end and top 5 in the Seattle area. Little may be an understatement, it felt like about 120 people were in there comfortably, so it's not tiny, but it's not as big as the Showbox for example but DAMN THAT SOUND WAS PERFECT. The drinks were delish and reasonably priced, there's Breezy Town Pizza there (separate 5 star review of course) and the venue is my new favorite spot to check the calendar to see what great bands they've got coming up. I also stopped by a karaoke night once a few months back and it was also super great with fun attendees and a great KJ. The proprietor was super friendly and took great care of all the patrons, checking in before the show, asking if everyone was having fun and really just managing the hell out of things in the best way. Now, don't think you can walk here from about anywhere, but on the plus side, it's close enough to some transit options AND parking is plentiful and free. I'd suggest a visit soon, between the great service, amazing sound and some of the best pizza in town, what's not to love? read more

This place quickly grew into one of my favorite spots in town. It's got an old-school vibe, from the paneling to the gold curtain to the neon sign out front; plus pinball machines & a big bar. It has lots of liquor, decent taps, decent prices, & good bartenders. It's owned by musicians & some of the bartenders are musicians, too. They tend to have live bands on the big nights (Thur-Sat), sometimes interspersed with DJ theme nights, drag, big wheel bingo, and more. Wednesdays are a comedy showcase hosted by Emmett Montgomery & Brett Hamil. MAP Theatre sometimes does TV/movie-themed trivia nights (which generally sell out, sometimes long in advance, so plan ahead). Their Facebook page is the best place to figure out what's going on & when. Sunday daytime is a mimosa & Bloody Mary bar, Seahawks games showing or a DJ playing old-school jams & soul (no cover), & the pizza counter serving brunch slices plus its (exceptional) regular favorites. The pizza counter is Breezy Town Pizza (sibling of Windy City Pie &, as the name implies, not quite Chicago-style but not totally unrelated either). It was voted best in Seattle (Seattle Magazine), & for once I actually agree. It's thick-crust, pan pizza with a caramelized crust, & it is DEE-licious. It's technically a separate business but the two together create the overall experience, so here's what you need to know: order (& pay for) your pizza in the back. Look for the neon sign of a pizza slice. For best results: Get your number, get your silverware, put them where you want to sit, & then go open your bar tab. You'll bring your drink back, they'll bring your pizza out, & you can sit happily with everything you ever wanted, smug as you watch others try to figure out what to do & where. The above applies on regular, non-show nights. If it's packed & there's a show, find your seat if you can get one, get your drink, & wait by the window for your pizza (which may take longer than usual). On that note: plan ahead & look at their show schedule. On show nights, it's a music venue -- which are usually loud, crowded, slower service, & have a cover. (Unlike most music venues, however, their bathrooms are usually clean!) If you don't want a music venue, don't go on a show night. As Loretta in Drop Dead Gorgeous would say: There, easy as pie. I recently visited Seattle from the Bay Area and had the pleasure of spending a few nights at the Clock-Out Lounge. This bar(and pizza place) just opened and I was lucky enough to see some amazing bands play here. The space is comfy and cool. Not overly pretentious and totally feels like the kind of place I would hang out at regularly if I lived in the area. So many things I liked about this place.... 1- they are open 4-8 to people of all ages. Kids are allowed and parents can listen to music eat some of the amazingly delicious pizza, have a drink (or two or three) 2- the people who work here are so nice. They definitely look like the cool kids who may not want to talk to you.... but they are so sweet and super welcoming. 3- the music playing (as background sound) is super good and has great variety. 4- I saw a few awesome bands play here, both local and national. The show was packed but super friendly vibes and super clean (non-gendered) bathrooms with no lines. 5- they have pinball machines. 2 of them. Anyway. Clearly I had fun. And I'm sure so will you. I had no idea there was a deep dish pizza place so close to home and was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it. There is plenty of seating, wait staff were great, and the pizza was delicious. Deep dish isn't my favorite style of pizza and I don't eat it often but now I know where to go if I have a craving. My favorite part is the burnt cheesy crust, and they've got it right. Walked by this place when I was exploring another local business. Decided to pop in and surprisingly enough this place was so nice inside.
