    Cheese cake
    Caroline T.

Palermo is one of my favorite to go pizza options, and is decently priced / within the range you'd expect for pizza in Seattle. Pizza is consistently well cooked, regardless of how many toppings are added (my current rotation includes bacon, basil, and red onions), and the crust is a nice mix of chewy and slightly crispy. I always go with their extra cup of marinara, which is a considerable helping that pairs well with a large pizza. Their half garlic bread is a generous size (2 half slices vs other places that may only give you 1 small slice), and also comes with their marinara sauce. Their cheese cake and carrot cake slices are a good size, but I've found the cheese cake can be a hit or miss (sometimes tasty and sometimes tastes like it was left in a freezer). Their mini individual pizza is cute, especially if you're looking to try out some of their toppings but don't want t commit to a full small pizza. However, with the price for the mini, you might as well go with a full small pizza. Currently Palermo is available on DoorDash, so if you can't drop in for pickup or dine in, there are options.

Got this for take out and maybe it would've been better as a dine in meal? There was SO much cheese. Like I love cheese but this was too much and it just kinda solidified. The flavors were good but you couldn't really taste anything past the 1 inch of hard cheese. I think it would've been good with a lighter sprinkling of chez

The ambiance is super cozy, reminiscent of Tuscany, Italy. The food is very good, super tasty and fresh ingredients to make delicious dishes. They also have very fairly priced wine bottles. Try it out!

    Pure slop.

Whoever made this pizza has no pride in their work...this pie was pure slop with a 1cm thick layer of congealed, low-quality mozzarella. Please do better for $24 (ex. taxes and delivery fees). For the record, you can buy a cheese pie that is 1,000x better at Cornelly for $24, for $22 at Lupo, and $20 at MOTO.

I ordered Chicken Marsala and a Meatball Sub for the first time. Whatever the chicken dish was is an abomination. It was a cream and cheese based sauce not a Marsala! Overcooked Barilla boxed spaghetti. $20 for trash. Haven't even looked at the sub yet. Don't even care anymore.

Absolutely delicious!!! We ordered a small soprano pizza and it was yummy! The crust was very crispy and golden brown. We ordered two separate pastas: Italian sausage pomodoro and the baked fettuccine with meatballs. Everything was perfect! You get to choose between a side of salad or soup. We got one of each. Very cute restaurant and great staff! Will certainly come back whenever we return to the state! They offer free delivery for locals.

Gluten free baked cauliflower & gluten free garlic bread! -to go

Absolutely amazing experience! The owner was knowledgeable and cautious about gluten sensitivities! He found a way to make everything we wanted gluten free! I've been coming here since a child, so I wanted to order the baked cauliflower dip that I used to order (it's delicious!) He informed me the cauliflower bake had flour in it but went to the chief and found a way to make it without! Then he replaced the pita with GF bread and added garlic butter to basically make garlic bread! The food is delicious and the customer service was unmatched! Oh and my dog got to join us outside! Huge plus!

    Lasagna
    Valerie Y.

My friend who lives really close to Palermo suggested it as a quick sit-down place with great food, and she was not wrong. Did you know that you can call ahead to order ahead and come sit down? We did that and were immediately served. I don't know if this is a popular business model but I LOVE IT! I got the Lasagna, which was huge and came with plenty of breadsticks. Huge fan of this lasagna - it was the perfect amount of cheesiness and had a lot of meat sauce. I think the price was very nice compared to a lot of Seattle restaurants, and I was so full by the end. I'd highly recommend Palermo and would come back.

not the penne alla vodka; Antipesto Calzone
    Adrianna Z.

the food that we got was good! and the service was also good! though i will say that TWICE we were left with food that we did not order. my friend and i decided to share an "antipesto calzone" and "penne alla vodka" (the pasta being listed as "new" under specialty pastas). first we were brought out fettuccine alfredo, and when we clarified with the waitress we ordered the penne alla vodka, even pointing again to it in the menu, she came back with penne alfredo. we tried to ask where was the vodka sauce and after an explanation that the menu the cooks have is different than the menu customers see, she didn't really answer our question and again just reiterated that it was alfredo sauce. my friend and i had a time constraint and also did not want to ask the kitchen to make our dish a third time, but it was still upsetting to not get what we had initially wanted. the calzone was great though and i would give the restaurant another try, though i would maybe only do so if i'm feeling able to advocate better for what im ordering.

Great use of space in this little corner

Fresh ingredients, such as the peas were the best by far but the balance just wasn't there. The pizza was fine, not bad, not memorable. It didn't leave you thinking about it later. The employee who eventually helped me was nice, but the overall experience still didn't feel welcoming or attentive. Over several visits, the service has just not matched the quality of the food. In this economy, it's truly a blessing for businesses to still have loyal customers coming through the door and wanting to support local spots. At the very least, customers should feel welcomed, appreciated, and taken care of when they walk in. I genuinely hope they improve the service side of things because the food has potential, the bar vibes they've created are pretty cool as well and I'd love to be able to give this place a better review in the future.

Upon arrival after 9:00 pm on a Tuesday, we asked to set in one of the booth but they said no because of their strict policy for the booth the used x 3 or more people. Meanwhile, all 4 booth were empty. The kind waitress then offered to move us to the bar booth if something opened up, we kindly agreed and simple went on with our night at different table. While on the table my friend picked up 3 small little flowers from the base and said happy birthday to me, and I put the little flowers on my hair, then I told the waitress I hope you don't mind, my friend gave this little flowers from the table it is my birthday, to which the waitress replied happy birthday, I have no problem with that!. Then comes the manager, and tells me sarcastically, that is a cute flower but it is not yours to take, you should have asked permission anyways, I told him with a smile, but is my birthday and it a tiny flower may I keep it? He stated no, because other costumers will come in and there are no flowers in the table. I told him to replace it with another from another table and he said No give it back now please. It is not yours to take!!! Me, already feeling unwelcome and missed treated, yet still stayed but couldn't even finish my pizza because of how upset I was. I told my friend I wanted to leave. After closing the tab, I walked upfront and waited for my friend. Upon walking outside, the managers comes after us screaming "hey give me back the flower" you took it, at this point I was still walking ahead on my friend and I can hear the manager yelling "she stole it" give it back now, she is a thief, you come here to steal is that it? I repeatedly, told him I didn't take it and even open my purse and told him to come search it, but he stormed back in while insulting and yelling to me IN PUBLIC! - I was deeply humiliated in front of absolute strangers. I didn't see my friend taking the flower either, and if he did, he never gave it to me otherwise, I would have throw it at his face. The luck of hospitality, professionalism, and simply compassion and dignity from this person is Absolutely Unacceptable. I was treated with far more respect and the Four Seasons (and they did give me flowers), than this ridiculous place. It is a shame that the owner would allow someone like this to be the front of the business. And I feel deeply sorry for their employees to have to endure this person as I saw on their eyes the embarrassment they felt. I deserve nothing else but an apology for the way I was treated. I too work in hospitality, I know what is like to provide costumer service providing healthcare and never in my wildest days would I ever treat anyone with such disrespect and unprofessionalism. I recommend this person to be replace or re train. Otherwise it will only affect the business.

They are the nicest people ever! So friendly and accommodating and always smiling. Their pride in their restaurant really shows in their care of the food and customers. I had the infamous meatball sandwich and my wife had the chicken carbonara. They gave us each a slice of their pizza for free as they had a bit extra from one that just came out of the oven. The food was prepared in front of you which is always interesting to watch and the charming brick pizza oven was directly in front of us so we could watch that process as well. Pretty cool. There are a wide variety of pizzas and pastas, desserts and drinks (alcohol too!) available on the menu. We ate at at the bar and had a wonderful conversation with the owners as they bustled about in the open cooking area. I enjoyed my meatball sandwich which had great crunchy crusty bread that held in the contents of melted cheese, red sauce and meatballs. A great choice to get when there. My wife liked her chicken carbonara and as the portion was pretty large, we were able to take some home for later. Extra yummy for me (ha ha)! The complimentary pizza slices were a hit for us as well. Napoli style with thin crust and flavorful toppings. We found out that Goli created the restaurant's design with the face of a woman that looks a lot like Venus in "The Birth of Venus" painting by Botticelli in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence Italy (just sayin'). There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Unfortunately, the experience is consistently dampened by one of weekend bartenders. As others have mentioned, it's that taller bartender (Alex?) who repeatedly comes across as arrogant and dismissive to us; a less than desirable character trait for a bartender. It's such a pity because that is the sole reason we now lead our groups to spend their money and patronize other establishments instead. Recently we did give Diller another try, but sadly it's the same story and thus this feedback. Hospitality makes a HUGE difference. Bartending isn't just about making a good drink and expecting tips. As someone who tended bar all over Seattle for 23 years, I know how much energy and attitude shape a guest's night. When the service feels cold and passive-aggressively rude, it's hard to feel good about the experience. It's disappointing, because this place has so much potential. Hopefully management considers bringing in weekend staff whose personalities reflect the warmth and atmosphere the space deserves, there are plenty of more qualified bartenders in Seattle that would gladly fill their spot.
