I've been wanting to try Dino's Tomato Pie for a while -- every time I ran past it, it smelled incredible. Finally stopped in, and it lived up to the hype. First off, the red light aesthetic is so cool. Something about that warm, neon glow makes the space really inviting and gives it a uniquely cozy, almost retro vibe. Definitely the kind of place that catches your eye from the street. They've got a nice selection of pizza by the slice, and I went with their specialty slice. At around $8, it's definitely pricier than I'd like for a single slice, but it was delicious -- rich, flavorful, and super satisfying. Worth the splurge at least once. I sat by the window under the red sign, which added to the whole experience. Honestly, this place would make a really fun date spot. It's casual but atmospheric in a way that feels memorable. Who would have thought a random bar crawl would have resulted in finding a solid slice! Never heard of this place on socials, but my boyfriend and I were in the cap hill area the other night. After struggling to find a late night snack, we came across this place. Super fun grunge vibes on the inside, bouncer and staff were super chill and friendly. My boyfriend got a classic pepperoni slice while I got the special. I vaguely remembered it having olives, leaks, caramelized onions, goat cheese, and breadcrumbs. The flavors were fantastic. Although it was cut like a Chuck E Cheese slice, there was something about the crust that hit me with nostalgia of going to a corner pizzaria. Josh is an awful manager. Terrible website, limited items on door dash, and horrific customer service. Garlic knots are reheated, staff is dirty af, and their sauces are $3 a Dixie cup. I ordered my pizza to-go and so it took about 30ish minutes. While I took my food home to eat, I waited inside to check out the interior. The inside of Dino's is basically a dive-bar that also serves pizza. Also for dine-in, you have to be 21+ which sets the atmosphere and tone for the place overall. I love that they don't need to cater to the masses but can run their business how they want to. I got the Mr. Pink sicilian style pizza which has vodka sauce, basil, and mozzarella, and parmesan. Oh my god this pizza is awesome! If you love vodka sauce in general, then you are going to devour this whole thing. The flavors were so good and I wish I had the stomach to eat the whole pizza in one sitting. The crust and underside had a slight crunch to it while the inner parts were more moist and bouncy. I went with the pepperoni and got a side of ranch, my husband got the meat lover. Both pizzas were pretty good. Mine was on the oily side. There was nice caramelization along the edges and on the pepperoni. I was slightly disappointed by the size (especially for $6 a slice), but overall good slice of pizza. The special slice (also around $6) was an unexpected flavor bomb. I didn't look carefully at the slice before taking a bite and I was surprised by the hot honey and fattiness from the bacon and cheese. Taste was quite addicting and I quickly gobbled it up. The pepperoni square slice did have a flavorful crispy crust but the sauce is a bit watery and too tangy and doesn't hold up well with the cheese. The pepperoni is not crispy. I was SO excited to try Dino's based on my experience at Delancey, so upon peering at the menu placed in front of us, I said: "Hi! Do we order here or can we sit down at a booth and order?". The person responded in and incredibly rude and disgruntled tone: "obviously, as you can see above my left shoulder, it says ORDER HERE at that sign." At first I thought he was kidding, but by the immediate dismissal of turning around, I got the point it was a diss. Okay? Whatever. So I walk over close by the "important" ORDER HERE sign, I kindly greeted and asked a different bartender what was on the Special Slice. She coldly goes: "you can order under the ORDER HERE sign."... i shit you not, I AM LIKE SIX INCHES TO THE LEFT THE STUPID SIGN. My boyfriend and I are still looking at each other thinking this is a maybe an ongoing joke. We finally move the SIX INCHES TO THE RIGHT to be under the stupid sign and speak to the same person who looked at our IDs. I kindly asked what was on the white pizza. He then threw the menu right in front of me and aggressively pointed at it, condescendingly reading the ingredients and walked off. I felt so nervous to ask about the special and a very kind person next to me was raving about it, which had delicata squash and arugula on top of it. I was super excited, and when the person returned, I asked for one Special slice and same did my boyfriend. He then made some snide comments when we both got Jack D and Cokes, one of us got diet and one got regular. Incredibly cold and unfriendly... Upon getting our food, the plates were nearly tossed to us as they slid across the table. It was SUCH A SHAME how good the pizza slice was. I am so horrified this place is related to Delancey. Absolutely never going here again regardless of the delicious Special slice... what a shame. Incredibly long review simply to reflect how awful this experience was and to explain why the reviews are very bad for how good the pizza looks in photos on Yelp... really tragically makes sense and I don't want anyone to waste their money on $5.50 a slice to be treated like shit. Was told "no, you can have one." Excuse me? Had to explain there's three of us. Gave me two bags & some foil. Weird response after spending $$$ on drinks and pizza and remember there is no table service. Maybe the togo boxes come out of their tips. This is probably my favorite New York style pizza in Seattle (and I've tried a ton of places). We got the Mr.Pink and it was super saucy and delicious. We got it for delivery so it was kinda soggy but still amazing, so I definitely want to try it when it's hot and fresh next time.
