Exceptional hospitality, inspiring service, and extraordinary food! Absolutely exhilarating!

Falafel Sandwich, Greek Fries, & Mango Yogurt Drink

I really enjoyed my meal at the Mawadda Cafe. I was a first time visitor and found the restaurant very clean and comfortable. My server made me feel welcome and at home. It's a popular place with lots of regulars. Looking for a vegetarian option, I ordered the falafel sandwich and a mango lassi, then I added the greek fries. Oh my God. They make the "best fries" I have ever eaten. Along with the sandwich and the lassi, I was very satisfied. I will definitely return if and when I'm in the area.

Wire in our rice

I LOVE the food from here. We order all the time, but in this last order we got a piece of white wire in our Basha platter. I'm so disappointed because this was our go-to place for Mediterranean food.

Samosa Plate

I came to Mawadda Cafe on Sat night. There were no customers in the restaurant, but we decided to eat. The store was well organized and the tables were clean. It took us quite some time to choose the menu. In the meantime, two people came in and picked up food. We ordered a veggie combo and a Samosa Plate. The food took a long time to come probably the restaurant was busy with phone and online orders. Veggie combo is a fresh made spanakopita triangular spinach pies, falafel, hummus, and stuffed grape. This dish was quite large and even two people could not finish it. Spanakopita triangular spinach pie is crispy and has a strong spinach flavor, falafel is a little salty for me but a good taste, hummus is a little watering taste. Samosa Plate is a golden crispy triangular pies all stuffed with a delicious filling. Choice of filling are chicken, beef and veggie. We only ate one samosa and took the rest home. There are many vegetarian and vegan choices here. I would like to try other things next time.

The food is great and the husband that is owner is great but the wife is very very rude and will over charge unless you catch it. She has really bad attitude and is rude to customers. My friend also had the same experience! The food is really good and as long as you deal with the husband you will have a good experience but his wife will ruin your whole day if you deal with her

This is a Hole in the wall kind of place. There is no Ambiance but the Food and Service is amazing. One of the the best Mediterranean food we have tasted. We will go back if we ever visit Seattle again!

Foul medemus, lamb #6. Shawarma Lamb Platter, and Appetizer Plate with pita.

Basha plate was ok. Menu said it was $25 but she charged us $27. My daughters fish and chips was frozen from Cost Co. We won't go back.

Overall, I really enjoyed my meal. The rice was great, the gyro meat was flavorful, and the tzatziki was really good. I got the lunch portion, which was good, but I do wish I had gone with the dinner size--definitely doing that next time since I want to try their hummus. The salad was the only part that was a little off for me. It seemed like the veggies hadn't been dried very well, so there was quite a bit of water sitting at the bottom. It also had pickles in it, which was interesting--but I actually didn't mind that part since I like pickles anyway. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is because my husband's order wasn't made correctly. He ordered a similar plate with chicken and specifically asked for no salad and no tzatziki, and it was even confirmed when he ordered. But when he got home, both were still on his plate, which was frustrating for him. Aside from that, the food itself was really good. I'd definitely order from here again--and next time, I'm going for the Dinner Plate

That said, eight dollars for a 16 ounce Americano is outrageous. It was good but not any better than something I can get at McDonald's. The menu is huge, with plenty of Greek, Jordanian, Turkish, Yemeni, and other classic Mediterranean entrees, sides, desserts, and drinks. I got the hummus mix, a chicken shawarma plate, and Karak tea. Everything was fantastic! The portions were huge so I have plenty of leftovers for future meals and snacks. The hummus was absolutely a standout, with delicious ratios of creamy chickpeas and tangy tahini, garlic, and fresh veggies on top. The Karak tea was a perfect balance of sweet and spiced flavors, absolutely a must try if you like chai or similar spiced coffees/teas. The shawarma plate had fresh veggies, even more hummus, and tons of chicken and rice. Everything was well cooked and delicious. The service was very fast, and the employee I talked to was so friendly! He gave me a free maple donut to snack on while I waited for my to-go order. It paired very nicely with the delicious Karak tea. Inside, the restaurant is very clean and home-y with nice decorations and lots of tables. I will 100% be back here! The menu is large with plenty of vegetarian options alongside the typical meat shawarma plates, gyros, and sandwiches. They also have a wide selection of donuts, sweets, and American food if someone in your group isn't a huge fan of Mediterranean. The parking lot is small and it can be easy to drive past the turn in, but don't skip it! I will be back!
