Stopped by on my way home from work, and ordered a half and half, with the tres carnes and asada. It's a little tiny shack in the middle of a busy strip so don't look for fancy here. It's a straight up charcoal oven, so that's what you get. We enjoyed it - and are glad they didn't ruin it by using marinara sauce. BUT we found Pizzas Locas on IG and it is completely worth the drive from anywhere in the Seattle/Tacoma areas. So freaking good! Hubby and I have been trying to find good pizza and this did not disappoint. Crust was crunchy and soft in all the right places. Cheese was nice and gooey for that cheese pull. We had a half birria,half carne asada pizza and with the salsa, cilantro, and red onions it was just everything you would want in a street taco but in pizza form. Omg this pizza place is the bomb! My cousin works around the area, and every time he comes over, he brings the Elote Pizza honestly one of the BEST pizzas they have. The flavors are crazy good... cheesy, creamy, a little sweet, a little spicy, and super addicting. What really makes their pizza hit is the way they cook it over the wood fire. It gives the crust that perfect crisp with a little char, and the toppings taste so fresh. You can tell they actually care about their ingredients. We've tried the carne asada pizza and it was okay, but the corn pizza one I would def go back for that!! Sooo good!! I have driven by this place so many times and have always been so intrigued to try it, I'm so glad I finally did. We placed an online order because it was kind of close to closing, and when we arrived to pick it up the staff was sooo nice!! They had some tables nearby to sit at, which was nice in case you did want to, but we were just bringing it back home so we didn't need it. Our order was already ready, and since it was our first time ordering online I ended up doing something wrong, which they let me know for next time, very nicely, not in a rude way at all. I also asked about the pig bean base, since I was super confused about it. They explained super nicely that it's a pork blend mixed with beans that they use as a base, which sounds delicious and we can't wait to go back and try it! We ordered the carne asada pizza and it was sooooo delicious. The meat stayed on the pizza really well and didn't fall off, and the sauce was not spicy but it was very flavorful!! We also added on the garlic butter crust, which was the only negative thing because we didn't feel like it was very flavorful, but other than that the pizza was amazing. It also came with a side of ranch included which was a really nice addition! The pizza was the perfect size for two people and we cannot wait to go back. I saw an ad on Instagram for Pizzas Locas and I finally stopped when I was in Des Moines. It is by far the best pizza I've found in Washington since moving here. I drive from Renton to get my fix. The guys are so sweet and they're very responsive on their social media. The BBQ chicken pizza is my favorite and it was initially a seasonal item. I'm so glad they added it to the permanent menu. You can also do half and half pizzas and you pay the higher price of the two pizzas you choose. I still want to try the carne asada pizza. The pizzas fill you up and everything is made fresh. The food was good but delivery was bad, placed order at 6:10 pm and it gave a delivery time between 6:41-7:05 and pizza came at 7:20. I was checking order for delivery and it said delivered at 7:00 so I tried to call number but the number was not work. So I decided to drive down to location and wife called and said it had just been delivered so I came back home and that was 7:20pm we like to support small family owned business but probably won't order from them again. read more

Good pizza, we tried one of the summer specials, street style asada, and it was very good. Great salsas included. The only reason this review isn't 5 starts is that though the crust was well cooked, it was a little difficult to pick up to eat. The crust is thin (which I love), but maybe a bit too thin for their specialty toppings. They include cilantro as another add-on, but ours was mostly stems. Definitely will be back; we love to support small local businesses, and we would suggest others support them as well. read more

I was seriously blown away with these Mexican Pizzas! We got the "Street Style Asada" pizza that came with carne asada and sweet corn and we also got the "Shrimp Pizza" that came with shrimp and bacon. Both were so good! The food comes out pretty quick once ordered and the service is very nice while you are waiting for your pizza(s). It's a food truck so there really isn't much seating except for a picnic table in front of the food truck and very limited parking by their stall but there is available parking nearby. Finally made it here today. It is at the former location of another wood fired pizza trailer. After talking with the family that runs the place (father, 2 sons, nephew) I decided on one of the Mexican pizzas - the carne asada. While I waited I was able to stand around the fire pit and enjoyed a cup of the Mexican hot chocolate they offered me. Bottom line - Good Pizza, great customer service, fast service. Winter months can be tough on places like this in the PNW so hopefully people will make it a point to patronize over next few months. read more

AMAZING WOOD FIRED MEXICAN PIZZA that took over the food truck spot of Pizza Addict. We tried the porky pizza and carne asada pizza and both were delicious. The crust is absolute perfection and each pie was very unique, never thought that a salsa verde base or frijoles base can be so amazing but oh my, these were delish! We also got some sauces that went amazing with each pizza, most notable was the salsa verde and chopped onions with a slice of the carne asada pizza. Very nice owner and staff, very eager for feedback and to better their business. Love that they have a fire pit and a tv running as well for customers to enjoy while they waited for their food, sets a fun ambience. They're just starting out so there's limited signage currently but just look for the food truck and there's parking right next to the truck on the gravel lot! A quick search and it looks like they're on Instagram (@pizzaslocaswa) Worth every penny in my opinion.
