Had pollo con mole'. 3 drumsticks, reheated in a speed oven, were dry. Beans were very thick. Rice was good.

I went by the drive-through for two Carne Asada tacos and one taco with Carnitas. Carne Asada, a…read moresmall pieces of marinated steak which were grilled and had some crispy edges and nice texture. Carnitas is slow cooked pork, which is soft and tender and then it is grilled to give it crispy edges as well. It came served on a double stack corn tortilla. The tortillas are on the small side of the range of street taco tortilla sizes that I see but they were very tasty and they have been nicely fried. They were also very full of meat, they did not skimp on the proteins. Each taco is also topped with onions and cilantro. I was offered red and green salsa and I tried the green salsa which did have a little bit of spiciness, but also provided a lot of freshness and good flavor. The Carnitas taco was actually my favorite although the Carne Asada tacos were good too.

I thought this place had shut down but when I sent my husband to buy tamales, he came here. He said…read morethe place was up and running with customers. He only came here because he thought that if the tamal cost $6 then they had to be good. They were not. When I asked him where he got them and he said here, I looked it up on Yelp, who was saying they were permanently shut down. Little to no flavor. Traditional Guatemalan tamales have a slice of red bell pepper, and an olive in it, giving it more flavor but this one just had the meat and let me add that the amount of bones that were in the tamale was just absolutely unacceptable. Everyone knows that you don't put bones in tamales. The amount of times I bit into a bone or had to spit them out, made the eating process so unpleasant. I had told my husband to not come here anymore since it's so overpriced but I guess he forgot. It was just another reminder why I don't come here anymore

We ordered the churrasco chapin (grilled steak with rice, black beans, sausage and house salad) and dobladas (tortillas with beef, cabbage and onion and homemade tomato sauce). The dobladas were yummy and hefty but not too heavy. The churrasco wasn't bad, lots of food. Food comes out relatively fast and is a little more on the pricey side.

I absolutely enjoyed my time here…read more The ambiance is really great and perfect setting for all sorts of occasions. The customer service was on point and the server came to the table enough times to check on my needs but not so frequent it became bothersome. The food was delicious and I definitely recommend getting a margarita or an old fashion. There are lots of great options on the menu and I want to come back to taste my way through it.

Our table for four was near the dry-age cabinet, and honestly, seeing all that aged meat was exciting. We ordered the guacamole with fried pork belly, steak fries (two orders because they were that good), three 30-day dry-aged ribeyes (rare, medium rare, and medium), and the Salad Riviera with sliced skirt steak. The pork belly was crispy and tender, and the steaks were juicy, well seasoned, and cooked exactly as ordered. The salad had great texture and balance, though the skirt steak itself was unfortunately a bit dry. The spicy chimichurri was a standout--bright, herby, spicy, and totally addictive. I loved it with the steak and even used it on the salad. Jose was our waiter and was upbeat, attentive, and genuinely made the experience better. Tip: Try the Riesling--it's so good. Between the great steaks and service, we had a thoroughly enjoyable meal. Reservations are a must on weekends, and parking in front and in the back.
