    Carne Asada Fries
    Arielle G.

Fast Mexican food spot and you get a large amount of food for the price that you pay. Affordable and shareable sizes. I got the carne asada fries and burrito and a lot of sauces came with our order! I also liked their Horchata - it wasn't that thick of a texture however, and it is more on the watered down side. It was refreshing, nonetheless and I would get it again to satisfy Horchata cravings. The workers are friendly and it's overall a reliable fast Mexican food on the go! It's not my personal favorite for satisfying Mexican food fixes specifically, but I would come here with friends to share fries or split a burrito if I'm looking for greasy food to fill me up at a decent price point.

    Rancid Carne Asada Fries

I ordered the Carne Asada Fries. With extra guacamole. Unfortunately, the beef tasted like it had started to turn. It had a rancid flavor that ruined everything else. I have had other dishes there, taquitos were good. But this was awful.

Tried this after seeing generally good reviews here. I got the following: Carne asada burrito. Huge, with lots of steak, pico de gallo and guacamole. Tasty and tender. Chorizo breakfast burrito. Also big, with chorizo, eggs, cheese and potatoes. Milder than Alibertos Jr chorizo. Fish Taco. Big, with savory sauce and tasty fish. This location has a drive thru, I walked in to save a little time. There's a salsa bar with different salsas, plus carrots cucumbers, radishes and cilantro. Lots of food delivery pickups when I was there. Would go back if in the area.

The most disgusting burrito I've ever had in my life a tortilla wrapped in grease and over cooked meat and disgusting pico de gallo

Selling food that is actually edible would help lots! I was so disappointed I called and told the chef this is I disgrace to all Hispanic food

Washington burrito is great, meat quality isnt, but its kinda the cali carne way haha, bo regrets

things I like about this place the price, the size and the nostalgia of classic California burrito shops I grew up with that didn't add too many items, your burrito and charge you a Buffat price because of it... Things I did not like about this place where the fact, the fact the big old fact they did not know how to cook they're cheap meat. Well if you know anything about true Mexican, lol wind Stan's restaurants trucks the essential part of their MasterChef service is cooking, cheap meats and cheap items well... My biggest right here is that they did not know how to cook down the grizzle and fat off of their carne Asada to add to the flavor. Instead, he just stayed as grizzle and she was chunky kinda had to spit out or choke down... now I am not a person that is afraid of that and I did not throw away the burrito when I got you a few of those bites but being that I got about 10 or 12 of those bites and one burrito seems like they just don't know how to do their job quite well and for that a 3 star

    Bean and cheese burrito

I was in Seattle for 5 days. Food places are not very good. I come from Los Angeles, CA where the variety of food is endless and delicious. I was craving Mexican food so i drove around and saw this place. I figured I cant go wrong with a bean and cheese burrito or taquitos Lol I was wrong The burrito was huge but horrible. The beans have to be the canned Rosarita beans because they tasted exactly like it. As soon as I took a bite I was disappointed. I added the salsa because that can sometimes help cover the taste but the salsa was tasteless. The rolled taquitos were ok. They were cold but i ate them. The guy at the window was very nice though.

Delicious! Convenient and open 24hrs! Clean. Prices are a bit high but portions are generous so it's worth it. This place features a drive-thru as well as sit down dining. Nothing fancy. This place reminded me of a McDonalds inside. My California Burrito (called the Washington Burrito) confused me as this place is literally called, "California Burrito" but doesn't offer them on the menu. If you want one, order the Washington. Beware there is a condiment bar inside, but a lot of the veggies, peppers and salsas are extremely HOT! You have been warned. All in all this place is great and staff was friendly when we visited, despite previous reviews.

I love their machaca breakfast burrito. They are open 24 hours, they have a drive thru (can get pretty busy) and their staff is super friendly. I haven't dined in but it looks like a good place for a quick bite. They also have great nachos too!

So, we all know my love of Mexican food, and this place just gives me joy. They are 24/7, so I can have not breakfast food for breakfast, taquitos to be exact. Fried perfectly, nice and crispy, slight brown, covered in salad and guacamole, and then slathered in their salsas. My husband got the machaca breakfast burrito, and seriously folk, this thing was large, we could have shared it for several meals. And he was very happy to eat it. Prices were good, people were super friendly and a drive thru! This is a total win.

Had the machaca burrito. I swear this thing weight 5 pounds and would feed 6 people. Made fresh and delicious. Good meat and lots of it. Old school mexi joint, highly recommend this converted Taco Bell. We used the drive through

The first time I got the Wagyu tacos which were sooo good and I love the variety and flavor of the sauces. I loved how simple the taco Wagyu is as the meat is high quality For my second visit I got the Vacio Wagyu which came in a sizzling hot stone plate and it stayed hot for me to cook all of my Wagyu. It didn't really need the accompanied sauce but it was nice to have. Excellent service as well - our server was attentive and timely. I've only gone here for lunch and we did not have to make a reservation as it was not too busy!

We decided to stop in for a Saturday lunch and knew we were in for a treat as soon as we pulled up as the smell of charred meat wafted through the vents outside. We arrived right when they opened and we were the first party through the door. Surprisingly, it didn't get very crowded at all through our meal - even at noon there were only three other parties. Service was stellar, especially since there weren't many customers to deal with. The waiter continuously checked in with us and we never wanted for anything. Shortly after being led to our table, the waiter brought over a fresh tray of garnishes for our water, including lime, lemon, orange, mint, and cucumber. What a great touch! We then got a flight of four salsa accompaniments. The first being a pickled onion, interestingly tasting kind of like ginger and soy sauce with a slight sweetness that compliments the vinegar base. The second was a typical pico de gallo mix, but with a totally different spice mixture. I'm not entirely sure what's in it, but it's more than just the typical salt. The third was a light and refreshing avocado based salsa, while the last was a sharp tangy and spicy salsa, light molasses in color, and flecked with black and white specks. A charred tomato base, perhaps? Papa Loca ($19.99) - Asadero prime provides a HUGE potato, one of the largest that I've ever seen. I'm wondering how they even source these - I've never seen anything this big at farmers markets or at grocery stores. Anyway, it's baked to absolute perfection. The skin-on exterior leaves a tiny crisp, but the interior is so soft and fluffy it almost feels like mashed potato in texture. The potato is served steaming hot and it's scored with two long knife strokes, allowing the cornucopia of toppings to penetrate into the depths of the starchy masterpiece. The toppings include some baked potato classics - the decadent sour cream, the melty, fatty blend of cheeses, and of course the meat - bacon and Wagyu carne asada. The carne asada is cut into little niblets. Rather than an entire steak as with the entrees, I believe they use off cuts and trimmings here, as I found the meat to be somewhat sinewy and fatty, making it hard to chew on. It has great char flavor though! (4.5/5) La Carne Asada ($35.99) - The dish first comes with a large pieces of thinly cut carne asada. It's cooked until well done, but is still tender and is great quality with all the gristly bits trimmed off. It's simple and flavorful but with one issue - it came to the table already lukewarm in temperature. For the proteins, there's also a small chorizo sausage. It's heavily spiced, soft and coarse, lacking emulsification, in texture. It falls apart easily when removed from the case. For the veggies, there's a slightly charred green chile with a spice that builds. It's mostly raw, only the skin is charred just a bit to be able to flake off. Similarly, there's a large green onion that lightly charred, crisp and fresh in spicy allium flavor. Finally, there's a chile relleno with a simple green chile cut in half and filled with broiled, melty cheese. Yum! The two side accompanies come in little cups. The first is a refried bean sauce which I disliked immensely. It's drippy, watery in texture and it tastes overwhelmingly of lard. I wouldn't be surprised if it were at least 50% lard. The second cup is a salsa that looks somewhat similar to the fourth salsa in the flight but tastes completely different. It's smoky and mild with a fire roasted tomato base. An order also comes with four tortillas, with a choice of either corn or flour. The corn tortillas are hand made in house while the flour ones are purchased. It's obvious which one to go with. The corn tortillas are soft and easily foldable without breaking, fresh and spongy. They don't give enough for the amount of meat though! (4.5/5) Both dishes we ordered had some minor issues, but overall they were delicious. I can't say I go all the way down to Kent very often, but luckily Asadero has another location in Ballard I can visit if I ever get another craving for Mexican influenced steaks. What made it worse was how the food itself was handled. The crispy items were packed together with wet food, so by the time we opened everything, nothing was actually crispy anymore.
