Wet carnitas burritos with half green sauce and half habanero
Lea L.

Best place nearby for Mexican food and service is always good... love the wet burrito more than the normal one. Definitely coming back for the chilaquiles. Also had the fajitas mixto and the quesotaco and all were so delicious

More accurately I would rate this establishment as 3.5 We started out with the chips and salsa, and both were lackluster (and fyi an additional cost of $3.50). The chips weren't the freshest tasting, and the salsa tasted as though it came from a jar. We also ordered the regular burrito. Ringing in at about $9, the burrito lacked flavor, and was stuffed more with rice than anything else. Overall, our experience here was just ok, and not worth the prices in our opinion.

Taquería La Tentacion: a diamond in the rough. Housed in a rather rundown strip mall in Federal Way, this taqueria is much more than it appears to be from the outside. It's a small, seemingly family-run establishment that offers good food and great service. I ordered two tacos, desebrada (shredded chicken) and camaron (shrimp), and nibbled on chips and salsa and sipped horchata while waiting. The salsa served with the chips had the perfect kick. I also tried the four salsas from the little salsa bar up front. They were all impressive. The horchata was a bit too heavy on the cinnamon, but still good. Both tacos were solid, but I definitely preferred the camaron. This was my first taste of Mexico since moving to the area. I chose well.

Carnitas plate, cheese quesadilla and chips.

My boyfriend and I came in 40 mins before they closed, to which two tables were occupied and some takeout orders coming in. The cashier lady was kind but she did rush us several times while we were trying to order. We are super indecisive and it's very pressuring if we get asked constantly if we are ready. The food was alright, came out in weird order. Like I got a carnitas plate but got my corn tortillas much later. My boyfriend's food came in during that time as well, so I was halfway done by the time he got his food. The cashier lady was also mopping and sweeping while we were eating which to me is pretty bad mannerism. As a waitress in several restaurants, I was told we needed to wait until all customers to leave as to not pressure them or gross them out. If we return, it'll be definitely at an earlier time.

11.96 for Jalapeños with no onion is insanity, never coming back for sure.

Don't go there if you don't want to pay 12$ for 4 fried jalapeños. I didn't ask for onions but got charged for it and didn't even get it. I called back and the server said that's what the price is for 4 jalapeños since I didn't mention the onion she didn't give it to me?

We come up from Olympia once a month for a health appointment? We like to try new foods, especially Mexican, as the ones in the Olympia area are not great. My wife found this place based upon reviews, so we tried it. This place will not disappoint you. I had the huevos rancheros and my wife had the enchiladas. The huevos had a good balance of chorizo and egg, cooked perfectly. The wife's enchiladas were the best she has had. We will try them again to make sure this wasn't a fluke.

Pollo Asado, Pastor and Cabeza tacos. Traditional and pretty tasty.

Maybe closer to a 3.5. The food delivers, but there are still some glitches in the Matrix. Perhaps a few visits may leave me as excited as my fellow Yelpers, but I can't say this place knocked me over. Being a taqueria, I had to go with the tacos. The corn tortillas are outstanding, obviously made from scratch and full of flavor. I had the Cabeza, Pastor and Pollo Asado. Cabeza was the best, moist and full of flavor. The pastor left me a little flat, as it was a little drier than I typically like. The chopped fresh pineapple on top was a nice touch. My lunch companions both had enchiladas and enjoyed them. The lowdown on what's good: Tortillas, guacamole, Cabeza tacos and how when you order a Coke, you get the medio litre in the glass bottle. Definitely a traditional family sort of place vibe. What could be better: pretty ordinary chips and salsa, my food came out several minutes after the other people I was with, service was not particularly helpful or speedy.

This is our local neighborhood Mexican eatery. We come here at least once every 2-3 weeks. It is quiet, service is very efficient and food is good for the price. It is suitable for adults, children and larger parties. This is a non composting, non environmentally friendly place. They still use plastic straws.

A hole in the wall kinda place Spent Taco Tuesday here! Tacos were good I got Brisket and Chicken No complaints about the food They didn't provide a lot a lot of chips and salsa, it was kind of half filled Waitresses were kind but they didn't check on us often But I did enjoy the tacos and micheladas!!

A little disappointed that I paid 6 dollars for this. I was expecting a little more than a measly scoop and a half of coconut ice cream in a styrofoam take out box. If I'm going to pay anyone 6 dollars for ice cream at least make it a little more exciting. But maybe my fault for expecting this from a taqueria. Other than this I've heard great things about the actual food. Just don't pay 6 dollars for ice cream. (Spoon for reference)

Carne "hockey puck or beef jerky?" Asada

This used to be my wife and my spot for Mexican food. Being from San Diego and moving up here has been difficult when it comes to finding anything close to home. We initially fell in love with this place as it's food, especially it's carne asada, was the real deal and soooooo good! UPDATE We haven't been here in a few months, especially since COVID. We were feeling like some amazing carne asada, so we decided to place an order. Upon pick up, I asked where the chips and salsa were, and the lady argued with me saying that is only for those who dine in. I looked around at the empty place due to COVID and said "so you want us to dine in?" and she hesitated with a long pause. I simply said to her, we're paying for our meal the same as if we were dining in, AND we've ordered take out before and this was never an issue. She still stated she would have to charge for a plate of chips and salsa. Naturally I stated it was ok and didn't opt to put in the additional order. When we got home, we were extremely disappointed with our meal. The carne asada was way over spiced and essentially was beef jerky and tough. We won't be going back. Must be under new management.

Food and service was amazing! We got the wet burrito with carnitas and the carne asada. You could cut the carne asada with a fork. So GOOD!

I've been to other El Rinconsitos locations, and this one feels pretty average overall reasonable prices and average food. We ordered the carne asada enchiladas and the quesabirria. Both dishes tasted pretty decent and hit the spot for a casual meal. The salsa bar, however, could use some restocking, and several empty tables needed bussing and cleaning. The fountain drink station also looked a bit watered down, especially the horchata. Overall, it's a solid spot for quick and affordable Mexican food, especially if you're looking for something convenient and no-frills.

We have visited this location twice and the service, food and cleanliness of the restaurant has been consistently great. We have ordered the menudo, tacos, and pollo asada. The food is just as good as the ones from Puyallup which is good news to us. The drinks here are also refreshingly addicting as I'm a huge fan of their jamaica and horchata. Their salsa bar is a bit smaller but it has all the fixings and salsas you ever. One issue we did come across was they were out of a specific Favoritos flavor we wanted but my boyfriend didn't mind as we just got a different one to replace it with. The service here is friendly and efficient, we never really had any issues or concerns. They are good about ensuring the spaces are clean. A solid Mexican chain with a great reward system too!
