I've been to their other location at the Auburn outlet mall and I'm so glad that they now have a sit-down restaurant. The restaurant was small but there were outdoor seatings to accommodate the crowds. Parking can be tricky, but we were able to get one without any issues. Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted by a friendly worker who took our order. Glancing at the menu, we knew what to order. We decided to try their carne asada tacos and al pastor tacos. For drinks, we decided to get the strawberry horchata and Mexican coke. I really enjoyed their strawberry horchata as it tasted like a strawberry shortcake. They have a coconut flavor one which I might try next time. After ordering, we grabbed a table by the salsa bar. I like how the salsa bar is self-served so you can have unlimited toppings. Overall, the tacos came out fast and were bomb! They give you a lot of meats on each tacos. Did I mention the meats were high quality? I guess that justified the cost. The meats were nicely charred flavor. Very similar to how they grilled their meats at their other location. I will for sure be coming back for the good food and vibes! read more

If you know, you know Sonora Carne Asada House is that kind of spot. The place itself is small, but don't let that fool you. It's a hidden gem with big flavor. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, greeting you with a smile every time. There are plenty of options to choose from, and the portions are solid they're not skimpy at all. The meats are juicy and full of flavor, and the tripas are cooked perfectly crispy, just how they should be. They also have a great sauce and toppings area with lots of choices, so you can customize everything exactly how you like it. Plus, they even offer bone marrow, which you don't see everywhere. We ordered three Burro Originals (petite), a Pollo Asado plate, queso fondue, and a horchata fresca because why not?! Now when they say petite, think McDonald's snack wrap energy. These burritos were tiny. Like, "Did I accidentally order from the kids' menu?" tiny. The steak could've used a little more seasoning. I'll give credit where it's due; the texture was on point as the meat was cooked properly. The Pollo Asado plate came with three large chicken thighs, beans, rice (with corn mixed in), and tortillas. The beans had the consistency of baby food. The rice was... there. Just existing. My chicken was cooked medium-well-ish, which left me questioning my life choices, so I didn't finish it. The tortillas, however, were thin and actually pretty tasty. No notes there. As for the queso fondue, it was melted cheese. That's it. I can't give a fully honest review since I order it without chorizo, but on its own, it felt like it needed a personality. Overall, I'm not sure I'd come back, especially when El Riconcisto is nearby serving better food at a better value. My taste buds have options... and they know it. read more

This was our first time there, this is hole in the wall place nothing fancy prives were kind of high for the type of place I just set foot in and then to tell me I was getting no service ? Wow! My husband wanted me to try this place, because he thinks the tacos are great, despite their steep prices. Indeed, prices are VERY bougie for the actual place/location, however the quality of the meats, taste and size/portions can be excused. My only con, like I said, is the actual building itself. It has limited, wobbly-floored seating, so it makes sitting down, being handicapped etc tricky. Service was quick, so no issue there. Saw this place on the gram and it was only about 10 min away from my work, so I thought I'd give it a try. The salsa bar is nice. They have tostadas available to snack on with all their salsas and other garnishes. The salsa is delicious! Their verde is nice and spicy. I love really spicy food. This stuff was spicy enough to get my head all congested. Very very good. There was a bit of a miscommunication when I ordered, but it was mostly my fault. It wasn't super clear what all the options were. I thought the regular taco menu was the meat choices for the prime tacos. I only wanted 3 tacos and ended up ordering 5. I ordered one tuetano (bone marrow/asada taco) which was basically big enough to be two tacos, one lorenza al pastor, one lorenza asada, and one carne con chile. The lorenza tacos were my fav style of the tacos I got. The al pastor was the best meat of the three kinds I had. The carne con chile had great flavor. The asada wasn't special. The tuetano wasn't all that special either. The bone marrow was delicious, but the particular bone I got didn't have much marrow in it. I was fine with that though because I had more than I could eat. My final recommendation, the al pastor is a must try. The lorenza style prime tacos were something I haven't really seen other places offer and would be worth getting again. Overall, I was really happy with the food. We have been driving past these local vendors for a long time and we finally made plans to come and check them out. A friend of mine had eaten here and recommended it. This spot is located on the parking lot of the Outlet Collection by the McDonald's. They have different types of vendors(swap meet style). Plan on being outside for your meal. They have plenty of tables and benches to sit at to enjoy your meal. The location is clean and very well laid out. The customer service is great and friendly. Menu options are a meat eaters delight. These are jam packed with meat! You will get your monies worth. You will have a hard time picking. Portions are big! We over ordered but got to try different things. Everything was delicious. They have a salsa bar and lots of drink options. I will warn you...these are not cheap tacos. HOWEVER with the amount of meat and the size you are getting what you pay for. Trust me!
