This was supposed to be burrito de Lao it ends up being Carne Asada. I didn't get anything I paid for.

This place has new ownership and a new name. It's no longer el taco maestro. I asked the waitress if they kept the same cook ? she swore that they did.. I ordered a hard taco. It came with a taco shell that looks like it's from Taco Bell.. they gave me the wrong drink. I ordered hamica they gave me Horchata. I ordered a burrito de lengua, . They gave me a burrito the Carne Asada.. I choose to eat it anyways, and it is horrible. The meat has no flavor. It is dry and tasteless. I will never go back.. They're lucky I even gave them to Stars.

I've been coming here for years now and I've never been let down. This place hasn't change at all, inside has always looked the same, the flavors of the food has been consistent, and the service has always been quick. I ordered 2 Carne Asada tacos (steak) and 1 Lengua taco (tongue) and my GF got 2 orders of Ceviche (shrimp) and a Camaron taco (Shrimp). Overall the food and prices were great! Cost a little over $20. I would highly recommend this place if your in the Auburn area and want a quick Mexican food fix.

tortilla is a taco tortilla And there's no avocado.La tortilla muy chiquita y ni tiene el aguacate que pedi

Do not come here. The burritos might as well be tacos . $11 damn dollars for a really small burrito!! I even asked for avocado and they literally added ONE SLICE!! I was charged extra for that WTF! Plus it didnt even taste good and the "burrito" wasnt even wrapped! No vengan aqui! Los burritos estan bien chiquitos y cobran mucho! Les pedi aguacate y nadamas le pusieron UNA PRISCA y me cobraron mas por eso! No es justo! Y ni me supo bueno!

    Carne asada burrito

Food has gone hill recently, and portions became smaller while prices have gone up! Maybe I'm just use to big burritos the size of a 16.9 water bottle but this was the size of a napkin and the thickness of a deck of cards... The carne asada was also very dry and stingy with the meat. Mostly filled with rice and grilled chili peppers

The carne asada was good. Everything else was mediocre. The staff was friendly. The price was a little high for the quality of the food.

The portions are perfect, the chicken is cooked to perfection. Always juicy, never burnt or overcooked. Chips are always warm and crispy, the guacamole is fabulous, and the sautéed onions are tasteful, a little crunchy, yet soft at the same time. Never soggy. We ordered the carne asada (no beans, extra rice), which was about $30. The portion was decent, but overall the flavor was just okay. I wouldn't necessarily call it authentic, but it works if you're looking for a quick and easy meal. They did ask how we wanted the meat cooked we requested medium but since the steak was cut thin, it ended up being cooked well done. The kids' meals were simple and come with a drink, which is convenient. However, the orange juice tasted off and was really sour like it was expired, so we asked to switch it to apple juice. Garcia's is a decent option for a casual meal in a spacious setting, but for the price especially the $30 carne asada.

We got the bone marrow, asada vampiros, asada tacos and 2 queso fundidos one with chorizo and one with adobada. Presentation 8/10 - flavor 2/10. The best way I can describe it is that they are just trying too hard. Instead of serving the queso with chips they bring mini corn baked tostadas with no seasoning or flavor. It's just bleh. Chips would have been just fine. One plate came with a small side of whole beans, also no flavor. The only plus is they are very generous with the meat portions. The queso fundido had the consistency of chewy rubber and was serviced in a way where the cheese did not stay hot. Versus other places service with a hot cast iron skillet to keep cheese soft and warm. Service was B+. friendly but not very knowledgeable about the menu or add-ons. I would say probably just inexperienced. No beer or spirits available because they don't have their license yet. They the final blow was when the check came, they added an automatic 18% gratuity without saying anything to us. Overall not worth the hype and definitely not with price. Sorry. Buyers remorse :( Wish I could get my money back.

I was asked if I wanted my grilled onion and grilled jalapeño I said yes. When I got the small bag with the small plate, I instantly knew I made a mistake. Each taco was greedily filled. I had two radish shavings cut in half. There were two dry pieces of carrot and that onion and jalapeño that I mentioned.. yeah, I got half of a jalapeño sautéed with maybe about eight pieces of onion all over the tacos.. I don't know who called this place authentic but I am highly disappointed.. The only thing that presented any equality was the paper bag and the sturdy paper plate that the tacos came on. Lastly, I wanna end my review with another note : the slices of lime that I received were so thin that was actually the most diabolical part of the order. Not many reviews for a truck that has been around for a decade, but for the most part, reviews were strong. That said, a couple reviews called the food bland or mediocre, but I still decided to give them a try. Menu was simple, I was having a touch time deciding as I was in the mood for taco's but the nachos looked good. I ended up going with the burrito, because I wanted to taste the rice and beans as well. When served the burrito was noticeably larger than any other truck. I'd say 15% larger. 1st bite wasn't bad. It was tasty, but it was a bit shy on flavor, I like salt and I like spice and those are two things Mexico is known for. I was also handed 2 hot sauces. The red was watered down and disappointing, the green actually had more flavor. That said it was still not the flavor punch I hoped for. Service here was fast and friendly and the food wasn't bad, it just would have benefited from some seasoning and heat. I would 100% come back, but again, these folks need to infuse some flavor into their offerings, word of mouth from a savory meal is how you draw a crowd.
