Wow!! So good! We finally tried Pizza Parlor this weekend and it was delicious. We tried the Bacon Jamming & Cheese pizza, both were very good. The ranch salad was also fresh and the ranch dressing was bomb! The service was impeccable from our phone in order, to picking up pizza. Parking was easy and shop is cute with a few tables. Highly recommend, the other plus from me - was not a 45min wait or longer on a Friday night - though I imagine that will change as people discover it. Having sampled most of the pizzas in LB (husband is a pizza connoisseur), I can honestly say that this place is my favorite pizza place by far. Their differentiator isn't their sourdough crust (though it's delicious, the perfect thickness and has that wonderful balance of both chewy and soft), but rather the entire package. They provide many novel options, utilize high quality ingredients, and the pizza is super consistent--airy, not greasy, full of toppings, and you can tell each pizza was made with utmost care. My personal favorites are the veggie and two potato based pizzas, which is saying a lot because I usually don't gravitate towards potato pizzas (I find carbs on carbs redundant but clearly not here). The potato pizzas are super flavorful and solid for anyone who wants a break from a marinara base. They are located in a very nondescript strip mall with a slew of other lovely places--a bakery, coffee shop, and delicious Mexican restaurant. Parking is ample, service is pleasant, and pizza is truly mouthwatering. For those who might balk at the price, you do get what you pay for, as evidenced by my husband who has now proclaimed this place to be his favorite pizza place. read more

I work close by to this shop, decided to walk in to give it a taste. No idea what I wanted, did little to no research going in. Understand, if youre used to dominos, pizza hut or little cesars this place is different. Not in bad way, but in a FRESH way. The crust is more on the thin side and let me tell you, one bite leaves your toes curling. Its a perfect combo of crispy yet fluffy. This pizza was so good that my colleagues started to go to war for the next slice. Have a bucket handy because you will DROOL over the scent and flavor! I love this place. If you're passing through Long Beach, you should try to have it. I get the double trouble and a couple ranches on the side. It' so good. This may be the best pizza I've ever had, period. The sourdough crust was perfectly thin and crispy with great chew. The sauce was fresh and so was the basil. Great cheese ratio. This is obviously the Margarita pizza. We also got the 777 I think, which was spicy and took us by surprise. It was delicious but neither of us can handle spicy (anymore. Aging is hard ). The service was great! Such friendly people who were also jokesters which made it a very comfortable atmosphere and the food came out fast. Nothing more to say except you gotta try it. Ok, actually my one critique is that a name like Pizza Parlor is very broad and I couldn't find a sign that said "Pizza Parlor" . Tried pizza parlor for the first time. We got the TJ pizza and the double trouble. The sourdough crust is absolutely delicious. Toppings were yummy and fresh. Only gripe is that when you pick up a slice, literally all of the toppings slide right off. I don't know if it was too much sauce, but this was definitely a fork and knife kind of pizza. First time here! We came between lunch and dinner so it was not crowded. Ordered a pepperoni pizza and a Double Trouble. Our sourdough crusts were tossed and our pizzas cooked in about 12-15 minutes. The Pepperoni in the small curly type aka perfection. Crust is on the thinner side and crispy! Pizzas were piping hot and delicious. Will definitely come back again. I read through the reviews before coming here and whoever said that they can't taste the sourdough and the pizza is taste blind. I always read the worse reviews because typically they are true but this was a clear lie. The texture and taste is exactly like sourdough but maybe a little bit softer and chewier which coincides well with Pizza. Standard good amount of cheese on the pizza and the pepperoni and sausage are excellent. My boys love it and they are pretty picky pizza eaters. I'm not picky I just love to critique things to the last detail of satisfaction or dissatisfaction. Pizza parlor has cool oldies bumping and it creates a vibe along with a lovely pizza that has an amazing crust. Everyone was nice and mellow and said hi and the pizza was quickly done. There were two other groups here before me and I asked about how they liked the place and everyone loves it. I'm totally a fan! The pizza was just ok. Kinda small 14" for the price point. 25 dollars and 20 dollars for the cheese pizza. The meatball sando was a 18 I think. And with the salad, I was in the hole about 75 bucks. That aside, I wasn't happy with the service. The guy that took our order seemed off. Very robotic in his response and the loud rap music was very offensive. I'm older and used to enjoy hip hop back in the day but what this guy was playing was nothing like Ive ever heard and not appropriate for listening while customers are trying to enjoy food.
