After passing Pizza Daddy many times, decided to give them a try. The menu is loaded with Italian specialties and everything we ordered came hot and fresh. Mini vodka pie was good but could have used a little more sauce. Mini white pizza was great. Good flavor. But let's be real, it's all about the crust, and this was one of the best I've had. Grandma's pie had great taste with fresh basil aplenty. Cost was in line with all the rest, but we tried to order on line and was told they would not deliver to us as we were too far away. In almost 30 years that I've been eating at different pizza joints in bensonhurst, I've never had a better meal. Their broccoli rabe and sausage roll is the best roll I ever had. It was made fresh, with just the right amount of sausage, rabe, and fresh mozzarella wrapped in the tastiest dough I had. The bad reviews on here are hilarious. I normally don't write reviews but feel compelled to because I'm a customer who orders from here almost every week. I've never been met with an attitude, either on the phone, in person or with delivery. Yes, sometimes I'm on hold for a long time but obviously it's because they're busy and have other callers ahead of you. Which, by the way means that they're worth the wait. Food is great; love their soups especially the lentil soup- best I've ever had, even better than several restaurants I've been to. Tried making an order for delivery, a guy put me on hold for 2 mins "which I didn't mind, I get it they are probably busy." So when the guy takes me off hold he seems to hear me perfectly fine when I said "I would like to make an order for delivery." I gave him my address as he requested which I proceed to hear a click so I kept asking if anyone is there, also I want you to note that he didn't ask if I was still there, which in my opinion would have indicated that maybe he couldn't hear me. I call back assuming that something went wrong with the phone line, when I speak to him he says "there was scratchyness on the line and you didn't say anything." So I ask him twice just to double check he can hear me because he was quite rude after this 2nd call and I wanted to double check he wouldn't hang up on me because "he didn't hear me" he then has the audacity to ask me if this is a prank call and honestly I was quite put off because this was the first time I was going to try out pizza daddy. After this I told him to "forget it" because now my worry is he's going to not only know my address but also potentially spit or mess with the food, so I hung up on him. I am not going to recommend pizza daddy nor will I ever try it because of the worst first impression I got. read more

SCROLL DOWN FOR UPDATED EDIT We've been ordering from here for years (at certain times we ordered once a week). My husband and I tried to order dinner two days ago and they hung up on us 3 times. I understand it was probably busy but we've called before and just been placed on hold. The person on the phones that day sounded annoyed and when we tried to pay with a credit card the person on the phone said they weren't accepting those and then told us to order online. Sounds like he just didn't want to bother processing the payment. That was the second time he hung up and we called back to get his name to complain to a manager and he hung up on us the third time. I've been ordering from here for years and have never had this happen. The food is delicious but this type of treatment is highly unacceptable and I'm not sure we'll be ordering from here again. Edit to reply to Joe: I'm not sure how to reply here but yes, I believe that's my husband's account. We order both online and over the phone and either way what difference does that make? The way we were spoken to and how many times we were hung up on is unacceptable. We've been placed on hold before (sometimes several minutes) and we're fine with that because we know the food is good and we know how busy it can get. This type of behavior is not something we will accept or support. LAST EDIT: the food here is hands down delicious. We had one rotten experience with ordering over the phone so that's our main problem. The service is usually pretty good so I am updating my review to 4 stars since this was the first ever really bad issue we've had but we'll probably not be ordering from here again, due to this incident. read more

My favorite pizza place in the whole entire neighborhood. Staff here are nice here never had problem. They accept all major credit cards which is a plus !! My favorite is their margarita pie . It's to die for ! YUMM. Their pizza crust isn't too thick like other places. I hate thick pizza crust. Their garlic knots are pretty big and they're pretty good just wish it had more garlic ! Calamari and fried Zucchini is of my go to as well. It's fresh and crispy ! They have an area for you to dine in and they offer delivery service which is pretty fast. read more

I don't see why Pizza Daddy would get as little as two stars. I came here a week ago to grab some pizza and it was pretty darn good! Better than Torres a few blocks down. I had the grandma slice and it was fresh hot out the oven. I haven't been here enough to review too much about this place but basing on my review of the grandma slice, this place is a solid 4 stars. We'll see if it'll change after I come here a little bit more. I do have to say though, the restaurant decor is beautiful. Most pizza restaurants are a little dingy and boring but Pizza Daddy took the time and effort to make this place look nice with an Italian ambiance to it. No complaints so far. read more

The pizza is delicious, crunchy thin crust, with just enough sauce and cheese, in true Italian style, like it's served in Palermo. Tonight we tried the kitchen menu, and it was delicious. What used to be a delivery staple in my house has shifted to on the ban list after dealing with the surly young woman who handles orders over the phone. We had ordered a plain pie with a veal parm sandwich and was instead sent a veal cutlet sandwich - who orders veal with lettuce and tomato from a pizzeria?!- and when we called Pizza Daddy back instead of a "opps must have misheard" the woman argued that just a veal sandwich was ordered again why would I order a sandwich when we've been ordering the various parm heros since they've opened. I live across the street and absolutely love the pizza. I see all these reviews about the lousy service. I personally have never experienced this from them. On top of that, I know its a pizza joint and don't have much expectations. I care that the food is good and that I get it timely. I religiously order the buffalo chicken slice (one of the best I've ever had) and my favorite pepperoni roll. I buy a pie once in a while and bring it to parties and people can't believe its that good. The scallions on it give it that rich flavor. MMMM getting one now. There was a time when they lost my order and the guy behind the counter apologized and gave me my pepperoni roll on the house. Ordered the Margarita pizza and omg was so happy when the pizza came and it didn't become soggy it still held its shape kinda wish it was still nice and hot but can't really hope for that when ordering delivery. Also got the rice ball which was also good the cheese was amazing kinda wish that I knew that it didn't come with sauce if I did I would have ordered it for the rice ball besides needed some sauce and a little pepper it was great. This is by far the WORST customer service I have ever experienced in my life. I called to order a half buffalo chicken half Caesar salad pie which I have never ordered from this place before ever. We had ordered a plain cheese pizza, penne a la vodka with chicken added, baked ziti, chicken Parmesan with linguine and a veal penino (hot hero). The cheese pizza was really good and saucy. Baked ziti was pretty good and cheesy. Chx parm was good-sauce was great. Veal pinono was delicious. Chx a la vodka was delicious. The sauce was great. It was delectable. Chicken was kinda thrown on there but it was grilled and cut up but still good. Even had the char marks. The pasta dishes had a side of bread. Been coming to this place since it opened for business. FINALLY a pizza shop just around the corner from where i live currently. Its not the best pizza i ever had but cant complain its good pizza. Decor: This is a nice looking modern pizza shop. when walking inside, on your right hand side is where the counter and brick oven and different slices of pizza on display. On the left hand side is about 5-7 red chairs to sit while waiting for your pizza and on the back and up a small flight of stairs is about 5-7 tables to dine in. Food & Staffs: The staff are very friendly and welcoming to everyone. The food is great and the different pasta at yummy. There is different slices and square pizza which are awesome. i recommend trying the buffalo chicken slice and the ceaser salad slice and also the Texas chill soup. Convenient location, located on the corner of 64th st and bayparkway. The interior looks and feels very modern and sleek. The seating area is satisfying, the big glass windows give a clear view of the outside when eating. Pizza is great too, a solid 7/10 for $3.25 topping slices. My husband is a super fan of Pizza Daddy. He loves the baked clams and the pizza. Myself I prefer the zuchinni sticks and the linguini with white clam sauce. The only problem that exists now is the delivery service they are using. You might want to let them know that a bit of schooling on deliveries to apartment buildings might require them to press a button, which will prompt the occupant to buzz them into the building. Had two kids with me and they seemed to enjoy having the kids watch them, even put on a little bit of a show, spinning the pizza dough out where the kids could see well.
