When you come here, you have to order the Caesar salad pizza. I know it's an atrocity. Salad on a pizza? It's my favorite item on their menu. They don't skimp on the grilled chicken. Not good. I'm surprised it had a pretty good rating on yelp. The garlic knots lacked flavor. The margarita pizza was flavorful after a while, when u come CLOSE to the crust. It was very bready (after eating two slices and one garlic knot, my jaw is very tired) and not crunchy, definitely not new york pizza at all. I honestly wasn't complaining at all until I ate the garlic knots which felt like I was eating the pizza again (minus the flavor). I don't think that garlic knots and pizza should even be the same texture. I ordered a small, but it was bigger than I expected a size small to be which was good. Pizza is the best comfort fast food. For me, it's all about the sauce! This place is good overall but luck of the draw on the slices. I enjoyed my veggie pizza but the sauce didn't wow me. I would still return to try out their pastas, it seems there's a line for that. Oh, blink and you missed the front door. Their storefront is located right next to Toscana so you can easily miss it if you walk by too quickly. During covid, I had to admit to being nervous to go anywhere for food considering where I worked. I just kept seeing people pass away and it scared the heck out of me. Gradually though, I started to feel less scared and began ordering food from around the neighborhood again. The first pkace being this pizza place. I first ordered via yelp I believe until I picked up and the owner said it'll be cheaper to order via phone because they have promotions going on to save me some money and to save them from paying extra fees. Not sure what happened here. Plain pizza used to be really good. Now it tastes "just fine". Looks like they have changed the sauce and use different brand now. But I still like their bbq chicken. Ceasar pizza had too much ceasar dressing in my opinion. They offer a free soda for orders over $25. I usually order 3-4 pies which comes to $60. And i used to get two sodas. Just came to grab a quick slice of pizza. I haven't been here in a while. They advertise school special- buy 2 cheese slices ($2.50each) with free 12oz soda OR any topping slice ($3.75each). Their pizza is good, hot (not pipping hot but warmer than warm), good crust and good ratio of sauce to cheese. Great place! I was in and out within 5min. This review is purely for the pasta ordered + appetizer. Came here for a quick dinner and ended up waiting for quite a bit of time for two simple dishes: the pasta and calamari. Overall, the food was alright. Portions are huge!! So I highly recommend splitting these dishes unless you got a huge appetite. The calamari was crunchy but was slightly bland when paired with the tomato like sauce. As for the pasta, we ordered the pasta melenzana which was a mix of fresh eggplants, mushrooms, tomato and basil sauce with some ricotta cheese. The pasta itself was very rich in flavor however, it was also pretty oily and greasy and was too salty. Plus, I couldn't taste much of the eggplants due to the overpowering sauce. You do get a side of bread with your meal. One thing I wish I could have tried was the pizza. There were many different options and most looks like it's the deep dish style. If you want more options to pick for food, make sure to check out the menu! This place does offer catering, delivery and such, so you do have various ways to eat here. Very average pizzeria but it's close by so I would consider it my go-to. The pizza here is definitely no L&B but it is not bad at all. I like to order the Sicilian pie because it's really cheap and filling! The only downside is that sometimes the cheese separates from the pizza! They're supposed to meld together into one! I've also tried some of their specialty slices and calzones and they were also pretty good. Staff is pretty friendly too and the place is clean. Right off the D line subway station, I used this little spot as a pit stop. Refueled and recharged my batteries here. I know New Yorkers won't be happy when I say this but, this is the FIRST and ONLY pizza spot I've tried AND LIKED, since landing in NYC January 2019. I was craving Grandma Pizza so I decided to go with La Bella Express after scrolling Yelp; their Grandma Pie ($15 for a medium pie, 8 slices) looked amazing in pictures and they offered free delivery with only a $10 minimum. Voila!, best of both worlds. It took them an hour to deliver one pie... I live only 0.4 miles away... Not quick, but not terribly slow. Thankfully, the pizza was still warm by the time it got to my house. Aesthetically, it was definitely a winner as all my friends asked me where I got the pizza after I posted it on SnapChat. In terms of taste, I found it just alright; I could've used more cheese and perhaps some fresh basil? My family thought it was great though. Horrible pizza! Stay away! Brought a xl plain pizza pie yesterday around 7pm. It was thick, extra pizza sauce with thick layer of cheese. It tasted like a frozen pie with no authentic sauce taste or cheese. They have no expertise on how to make a thin cheese pie with the right amount of sauce to cheese ratio. Ordered two slices of their pizza today and got a surprise metal wire topping to go with it. I was only a few bites in when I felt the foreign object in my mouth. When I took it out, it was a wire that looked like the ones that come from the brushes. I have added pictures to show the size of it. The edge is blunt and could cause some serious damage if it was swallowed. I would expect a food order to be safe to consume and not be a safety hazard to customers. More of a piece of bread, topped with really cheap barely there tomato sauce, and fake non-mozzarella but white appearance cheese and whatever ham & pineapple they could find. I love this place. Good pizza and good service at good prices! I have never really been a big fan of pizza. I liked pizza but I never actually craved it. It wasn't until I moved to the area last year that I actually started craving pizza. I order from La Bella at least twice a month. Sometimes I would pick it up since it's conveniently located right in front of the D train station but on days when I'm at home and feeling lazy, I would have them deliver. This place is my favorite because $5 (tax included) can fill you up. $5 gets you 2 slices and a small drink. I don't eat a lot so usually when I get the $5 meal, I would eat a slice and save the other one for later. The guys working there are ALWAYS in a good mood and are good to their customers. Every time I walk in, they would greet me with a smile. No discrimination whatsoever. You won't find that everywhere. I can't imagine why anyone would spend their money somewhere else. Today I placed an order for delivery, I have been ordering from this place for the last several months now. I switched from a different restaurant because of poor customer service. Anyway normally my experiences were pretty good. The food is great, the fact that let you pay with a credit card at your door, and delivery time is pretty good. Up until tonight the customer service was fantastic but the person that answered the phone was very unprofessional. The first thing he said when he answered the phone is "delivery or pick up" not "Hi thanks for calling, what can i get for you?". He asked for my address and his reply was "damn that's far" Who says that!? I am not saying not to order from these guys but be prepared to feel upset when you get off the phone every once in a while. read more

I go there often when I am on 86st. Their pizza is good, warm, better than Lenny's. However, I tried their desert, wasnt fresh, stale, threw it out. Just had a veal hero. Not good. Tasted like it was in the freezer 10 years, and chewy like gum. So, for pizza it's a go-to place, for hero go to Subway, or Istanbul for gyro or a bakery for desert. read more
