    Sicilian Pizza by the Slice
    Walter T.

I got the ordered through the (to good to go )app, I got 4 slices of good pizza! All the pizza had toppings, there not hot but there are edible to eat ! You ordered at the counter and one of the workers will get your pizza for you! It was closing down for the night so I had to go home to eat dinner.. it's not bad pizza

Vodka with fresh mozzarella regular slice
    Lou D.

Fantastic! Highly recommend. I will be back. If i could give 4 1/2 i would, almost a 5. And i am a tough grader and usually go by the Bar Stool 1-10 bell curve where super premium slices are a 7-8 and a decent edible football pizza is a 5-6. I only gave Nonno's a 4.5 because the regular Sicilian was very good, but not great, no wow factor. Dont get me wrong it was very good but not a super premium top tier Square. I also had a vodka with fresh mozzarella regular style slice. This slice was near perfect, if not perfect. To start, the thin crust was uniform, perfectly crispy and chewy throughout with a uniform light caramel color and corn flower dusting. The end crust was properly dimensioned, crusty-crunchy outside and a consistent slightly chewy and warm interior. Perfect. Also the dough itself was obviously a store made proprietary recipe. Commercial purveyor supplied dough is only appropriate for football pizza. You wont find commercially supplied reddy made pizza dough at this place. The vodka sauce was robust and flavorful. The sauce had a buttery olive oil undertone with a fresh basil and quality parmigiana finish. The slice was topped w fresh mozzarella slices of just the right thickness covering most of the slice. This speciality slice is premium pizza. A yelp 5 plus, off the scale. The other slice i tried was a zucchini bacon Sicilian slice. The zucchini was thinly sliced and generously covering the whole square. The bacon was not overpowering but quite flavorful and not overcooked. The crust was airy, light, and crunchy. A great speciality slice. Both specialty slices were assembled with care using high quality hand made components. The typical pizza shop specality slice consists of some type of pre made or supplied toppings thrown on top of doctored commercial sauce set upon bland mass produced purveyor supplied pizza dough. The toppings are usually an after thought. At Nonno's, the specialty slices are artisan created Assemblies of high quality home made and selected ingredients. This is the place for speciality slices. Next time, i will go back and try a regular. Because the true measure of a NY pizza shop is the regular slice. Only a select few get measured by their speciality slice. For instance Rosa's in Queens and the famous L&B Spumoni Gardens. Oh, the owner, i had the pleasure of meeting a young gentleman at Nino's who said he was the owner. He openly engaged me in casual and pizza conversation and was polite and professional. It is obvious that he takes pride in his product and is proud to serve his customers. He seems to have s strong sense of community and puts forth great efforts in his high quality product.

Margarita Pizza and Grandma Pizza by the Slice

There are 2 brick oven pizza. This place is the best. Try their grandma slice super garlic and crunchy and their margarita if you want more of a mArinara sauce. The other place is not real brick oven pizza (you know the black mark you get with burned bread. You don't get that at another spot nearby.

I have been coming here since the day they opened. The prior pizzeria was not successful and the owner Tony and his family came in and redid the place over completely. In my opinion it's one of the best pizzeria's in the neighborhood. They have brick oven pizza and plenty of other dishes to choose from. I have not had a bad dish ever. The employees work very well together right down to their delivery people. It's nice when businesses remember your name and you get to know them on more of a personal level. A great sign of a business is to see the owner present. Tony who is young is there most of the time and works hard behind the counter. Gabe who I believe has been with Tony since the beginning is very loyal and represents the business well. There are only two spots in Bayridge I go to for pizza and Nonos is one of them. The restaurant is clean, has great food, extremely fair prices, and has fantastic customer service. I would highly recommend them 1/5/2019 Stopped in for some home made soup and grilled chicken and vegetables. Everything is very, very fresh! The owner Tony and is staff are great and personally take care of their customers. It's not often you see the owner working behind the counter the way Tony does.

I tried looking up this pizza from Target Richfield for a review, but it sent me to the NYC location, so forgive me if this review is in the wrong thread. Anyway, wow. I've been to New York City and ate at the original Joe's Pizza. What an epic slice of pizza. Now back home in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the great white north of snow that never ends, I finally tried the frozen Di Fara pepperoni pizza from Target no less. Sorry Joe's, but this is on par with your pizza (if it was frozen). Dave Portnoy was right with his high review. This pizza is very good. The thick cut pepperoni, great basil, and the crisp chewy crust was excellent for a frozen pizza. Nice under carriage as well. I cooked the pizza at 480 degrees in an electric pizza oven for 10 minutes, and the result was very good. I added a drizzle of hot honey, and it was spectacular (okay, I also added some fresh picked jalapeños as well). The pizza was hot and melted in the center, and the crust was very crisp, but still had some chew. Wow. This was the best frozen pizza I have had. Bar none. New York, you spoiled me when it came to pizza. Now I can get a taste of New York at home. Great job! I may or may not eat the last 3 pieces currently sitting in the fridge before bed.

Dom has now passed but his legacy continues. I've always compared the then pie vs now. And like most things,, nothing beats the original. This is still a very good slice. We ordered a whole pie half plain and half pepperoni, which is only $2.50 more. What I notice right away is the zesty tomato sauce, which Has love. However, I must admit that the crust was a bit too hard for my taste. Yes! It was crispy, but biting through it was somewhat difficult. Overall a good slice, but maybe the dough was off a bit that day. Regardless, Luigi's Pizza is an institution and I will be back again next time I'm in the area. Many pizzas do not reheat well due to rubbish cheese- not L&B- pop it in the oven around 400°F, and let it crisp back up! Also- the Spumoni- it keeps at a nice consistency in the freezer, unlike rubbish American ice cream- which gets like a rock. The only other Spumoni I buy is from Corona. They're both phenomenal in their respective rights. When asked by non-NY'ers which pizza is my favourite- this is number one for Sicilian- not heavy at all. The crust is light, airy, and flavourful. The cheese to sauce ratio is perfect- not swimming in greasy cheap cheese. I have the same standards for Neapolitan Pizza. We can discuss that elsewhere. Fresh mozzarella, a nicely thin crisped crust, sweet tomato sauce, and fresh basil makes this simple pizza taste great. The fried calamari also impressed. It tasted notably fresh--light, clean, and not overly chewy like pre-frozen versions can sometimes be. While I can't say for certain, it had that just-prepared quality that makes a difference. The Caprese salad was a great way to start the meal, with fresh tomatoes, creamy burrata, and a balsamic drizzle was a nice light start. The atmosphere leans old-school Italian, which adds to the charm and character. Service was fine--nothing remarkable, but no major issues either. That said, my overall rating takes a big hit solely for the restaurants ridiculous tipping policy choices rather than the food itself. The automatic 20% gratuity added to the bill was frustrating. The menu does indicate that 18%, will automatically apply, or will be 20% for parties of six or more. We were only three people, so it felt inconsistent and unnecessary. On top of that, the added cost for credit card usage didn't help. I don't mind tipping for good service! In fact, I tip well--but I prefer having the choice and I'm old school so it's the principle of the matter. Being forced into it, takes away from an otherwise enjoyable meal. Bottom line: the food is strong and worth trying, but the billing practices leave a bad taste. If those were adjusted, this could easily be a higher-rated experience.
