    Watery chicken marsala
    Johnny W.

Unfortunately this was by far the WORST chicken Marsala I ever had. It was extremely watery with barely any flavor at all. The owner was nice enough to remake one for me but the second round really wasn't much better. I really wanted to love this place because the staff there were so nice, but I had never tasted such a horrible version of chicken Marsala before...it literally tasted like boiled chicken in flavorless soup...you can literally see how watery it was in the picture. Thank you for reading and best of luck...definitely get something else if you come here!

Cute place. Grabbed a Marguerite slice and a gold medal. Will definitely go back and try taco slice, and other specialty slices.

penne alla vodka, chicken francese, grilled chicken, salad, delicious bread

One of my absolute favorites!!! This pizzeria is a gem!! I am always looking for the best penne alla vodka, and this place has it!! The sauce is perfect - creamy, balanced, and delicious. I get it with the grilled chicken. It HAS to be grilled!! It's sooooooo good, as if it just came off the grill at a family BBQ. Perfectly seasoned. Along with pasta, they add the perfect complimentary bread. Great portions. They really care about their customers. One time my order did not make it to my house in good condition because of a third-party delivery service. The manager called to apologize. He wanted to ensure that customer service was their top priority and valued my continued loyalty despite the inconvenience. Just taking the time to make that phone call made me love and appreciate this place even more!

    Penne a la vodka

In Brooklyn, there's a pizzeria on every block. They all have the same menu. Some don't stand out looks-wise. If you're going to go to any of them, make sure it's Maria's. This place has the best vodka sauce you've ever had in your life, hands down. I promise. Don't walk past it, you'll regret it. Order the penne a la vodka with grilled chicken and it'll be the best decision you've ever made. You'll eat it for 6 days or be able to feed a medium sized Croatian army since the portion size is MASSIVE. I'm cheap, and if it was $30, I'd order it. It also matters that it's a family-owned small business of first generation immigrants who busted their tails and gave up their previous life to make it work. If you want great food from great people, make sure to give them a try.

Made the biggest mistake by waiting to eat their delicious pizza at my apartment. I should've ate it on the spot while it's hot! If you like something creamy yet tangy, get their vodka pizza!

Wow, ordered pizza through slice and a friendly woman went above and beyond in calling me to make sure my order was correct (I almost ordered a pizza with no cheese!) The ingredients taste high quality and fresh, and the sicilian pizza was baked to perfection. Our delivery driver was so friendly. I will definitely be ordering from here again and again.

I also consider myself a pizza connoisseur, next to ribeyes, barbecue and key lime pie, I'm probably saying my fourth is pizza. It's totally different than Chicago pizza, and I think it's because of the water I really do!!! What separates pizza places are either the ingredients, or in this place, what separates them is their crust. They make everything fresh right in front of you, pictures are below. Jennie took our order and she walked us through the menu. We ended up getting a big margherita pizza. My son got the 2 tomato slices, he isn't a big cheese fan. My wife got pepperoni, they have beef pepperoni or pork pepperoni. Mikey Love was really cool he came out and greeted me. My kids got a drink, and then guess what, their gelato was actually top tier. So, eating at this restaurant before the Bruce Springsteen concert, the other night was a thrill. Ate with lifelong friends. Lots of seafood and the pasta was fantastic! Nice bottle of wine at a reasonable price. Good service. Not sure what the menu currently says, but the menu from just 3 months ago said it's 18% for a party under 6. Maybe they've changed it. Not sure. This is the first restaurant we've been to with 20% auto gratuity for a party under 6. But the borderline dishonest part is that the check that you sign tells you in tiny letters that tip was already added, but has huge font for additional tip and written out tip calculations, so it is very easy to tip 40% without noticing. Sometimes I do tip extra generously, but I don't want to feel like I was tricked into doing it! Looking thru reviews here, I see other people also experienced this, including people in small parties who were locked into the 20% when it should have definitely been 18%. :/ So close to a good experience, but ruined by tricksy billing.
