Located in an up and coming neighborhood and offering decent pizza. Decor/Ambiance- 5/5 I love the inside of this place for its mom & pop NYC pizza joint with a splash of modern and clean look. The tables aren't greasy. The items on display, such as the calzones, garlic knots, and pasta, were easily visible through the unstained glass. It feels pretty good in here. Staff- 4/5 Normally the staff here is friendly and willing to take your specialty orders without any issue. Also they serve the pizza with speed and efficiency. However, on occasion and when there are a moderate to large amount of people, they will get impatient and testy. This is expected when the crowd gets larger; but at the same time, they should be able to manage this as well. Food 3/5 The pizza tastes good and there isn't really much to complain about. I've been spoiled by Di Fara and other institutions though, so just "good" doesn't warrant more points here. I ordered a slice and the incompetent staff forgot about it. Then when I complained to the manager, he rudely replied that they're busy and he didn't notice. The slice was bland, and the manager's reply was totally unacceptable. I'm obviously not the only who feels this way based on other reviews. Went there with my mom for the first time ever about 2 weeks ago. Got the Chicken Daddy wrap- absolutely delicious! The wait time was about average, and it was definitely worth the wait. Service was nice and I wish I remembered the guy's name that served me and my mom to give him a shoutout. But he was super sweet and attentive. I've been passing by Pizza Daddy for a while now and I had the chance to stop by today with my sisters. We ordered pizza, beef patties, and a grilled chicken caesar salad which was average. What made this experience unpleasant was the lack of courtesy and friendliness from the manager. To have the owner blantly just stare at a customer on their way out with such a rude unpleasant face is a management that I will NOT visit again. Fix your attitude. Just had an order delivered a few hours ago, meatballs were on point as usual, Marsala was good, and the chicken parm with spaghetti was tasty. My 2 and a half year old daughter wouldn't stop eating, and we usually can't get her to eat. One of our go to spots in the neighborhood. Who's your pizza daddy? This place is definitely MY pizza daddy. Love it to the last bit. I've been coming here more often than I should be this past couple of weeks- stress eating for midterms... I think you get it. Ive tried their fried calamari, their penne vodka (which is out of this world), and practically every slice of pizza they offer. I am never disappointed. If you're ever in the area, get their penne vodka plate, a spinach alfredo slice, and a san Pellegrino. But to be honest you seriously won't be disappointed with whatever you order. When they first open it was a very great place the quality of the food was great the customer service was great and now it's like a different place the pizza is blend and if you order the delivery its take them over two hours to deliver your food and when you finally get your food have of it is stone cold and DO NOT ORDER their Turkey Burger Deluxe its seems like they have no idea how burger is supposed to look like it's cost $8.95 so I did expected a dissent burger and what I got was a cold piece of turkey which were totally burn on one side and it definitely was not fresh. The staff Chris picked up was extremely short and seemed annoyed like you had the audacity to call on such "busy" time. i didn't let it get to me and told him what i wanted. Ok some I'm a local guy who loves a good slice, I have passed by this place since before it has actually opened. I thought the name "Pizza Daddy" was pretty clever. I finally tried this place a couple times the past week and heres what I think. The first time I went I was pretty impressed with the inviting feel the place acually had, I took a quick look at the menu and ordered a Margarita Pie made in their brick oven btw. I gotta say I love there Margarita pie. So I went back and tried their sicilian and plain cheese pies. I was extremely happy with the sicilian(it is huge) the plain pie was ok I thought maybe it could use a little more sauce but hey not bad never the less. I will be going back soon, I noticed they have eggplant rolatini and lasagne and for a pizza joint it looked pretty good. To start off this review, the service wasnt that great. I felt as if they hate their job or whatever that is preventing them from smiling to customers. I have tried the buffalo pizza pie, ranch pizza pie, and the cheese fries. Both the pies were not my type as the sauce dont really go well with the pizza especially the ranch sauce. It didnt feel like I was eating a pizza. For the cheese fries, probably the worse thing on the menu to order. They gave me barely any fries with enough cheese to cover 4 fries. I don't usually feel compelled to review a place, but after a really bad experience at Pizza Daddy, I decided to join yelp and warn families. My cousin had previously picked up a pie from Pizza Daddy before and had raved about it so I was looking forward to trying it out. So we decided to meet up at the place and she brought her three kids: two elementary school aged kids and a year old baby. She had arrived first and was seated upstairs. When I reached her, she told me that the kids had wanted to sit along the wall which had booths with cushion seats, but before they could sit, the owner or whoever had informed them not to sit there because they were worried the kids might dirty the seats. I don't know how other family oriented restaurants do it, but I guess Pizza Daddy's method to keep their seating pristine is to simply prevent customers from sitting there. However, I shrugged this off since I thought okay, fine, this pizza place isn't very kid-friendly after all, but never mind, maybe they had some previous bad experiences with rowdy children stomping all over their new seats. We can cope with that. So we sat at a nice table by the window that faced the glass partition showing the lower floor. I thought the decor was still nice, there was a TV, and you can see everything that's going on downstairs, the way they made their pizzas. Except then we noticed that there was this older lady with short dark hair who just kept standing downstairs, staring up at us coldly. She was talking to the workers so I assumed she either worked there or was just related to the boss. Cousin's seven year old pushed back his seat and accidentally banged against an empty chair and she pointed at us from downstairs like we were doing something wrong, making it very clear that she'd been watching us. We were all laughing at my cousin's baby who seemed to be enjoying the music, swaying and smiling in her booster seat, and eating our pizza ... but throughout this whole time, the lady just stood in position downstairs, glaring at us coldly. There was no change in expression, no smile, nothing, just a steady glowering. It was the most uncomfortable dining experience I've ever had. The kids were all sitting in their seats, eating on their plates, not making a mess, no spills, nothing, and I couldn't understand why she was acting that way. Finally finishing, we sat around for a few more minutes, just chatting while the kids drank their sodas. Still, the lady glared at us like someone creepy out of a horror movie. It was so odd to be the focus of such unwarranted hostility. The place wasn't busy, there was plenty of seating around so it wasn't as if we were taking up room from others, but since we felt really uncomfortable now, we decided to just go and have the kids take their drinks with them. Cousin stood up, picking up the baby from the booster to give her water first before leaving, while the rest of us were still sitting. I watched as the woman downstairs quickly headed for the stairs and I laughed, joking to cousin, "Uh oh, maybe she's running upstairs to snatch away the baby seat and kick us out?" Turns out I was right. Lady headed straight for our table and without a word or a glance at us or even a smile, without even asking a simple "Are you done?", she yanked away the baby seat and carried it off with her head down. We watched her walk away, speechless. Who does that? Not even a polite sane stranger on the streets would move a child's seat without checking first with the mother, let alone someone in the food service business. Obviously, we were not welcomed there despite the fact that we weren't noisy or making a mess. I hate the idea of anyone in this day and age being racist, but the only other factor I could think of is that we're Asian. We quickly ushered the kids out. Trying to be fair, I'd say that the decor is nice and the worker who served us seemed polite enough. The pizza itself was thin with a slight crunch. I wouldn't say it was the best brick oven pizza, but I suppose it's a little better than the other neighborhood pizzeria, Torre's. However, after this rude experience, I'd rather order from Torre's anytime than go back to Pizza Daddy. read more

I'm a VERY picky pizza person. I could eat pizza every single day of the week. I live very close to this pizza shop and I love their garlic knots! I usually order for delivery, and I usually get my order within 40 min of me calling. The only complaint I have is that sometimes when I call, I am on hold for EVER. Great 30 min delivery and courteous phone guy. Ordered a grandpa pie (Sicilian pie with sauce on top of mozzarella) and buffalo wings. Sauce is killer, I licked it off the cardboard. Buffalo wings lost a little luster in delivery however they were big and quite obviously fresh and i enjoyed them. I was very happy with this order and everyone at my house enjoyed it!! One of our favorite pizza joints in the neighborhood. We love the pizza there, specifically their grandma slices. Pasta is top notch. Our kids love their penne vodka and the Spaghetti with Meatballs. I live a few blocks away and passed by all the time however the name was off-putting (I guess with pizzerias you are guaranteed credibility if the business has an Italian name lol). I decided to stop in about 3 weeks ago on a random day and I was impressed. I went in almost everyday soon after. So far I've tried their chicken cutlet slice, grandma, grandpa, chicken bruschetta, ham and pineapple, the spinach alfredo, pepperoni/sausage (meatball?), and the chicken parm. All were delicious. I also believe the sauce is missing a pinch of or an extra pinch of something. It's certainly tomatoe-y though. So far: - Generous on sauce (I'm a sauce girl). - The specialty slices are hearty and thick so you get your money's worth. They don't skimp on toppings - The crust is delicious. It's soft and doughy/bouncy but still have crunch. It doesn't get soggy and limp when you reheat it in a microwave Again, really good pizza but I have to deduct one star for something others have pointed out: the temperature of the food. I thought it was just me but the pizza isn't very hot when they heat it. I ordered a chicken parm and again, it wasn't very hot so it's not just the pizza. Not sure why this is.
