What a cool little place. I was invited to come and here a band play. I did not know what to expect never having been here. The place is so cute and the band was great. We danced and had so much fun. I did not order any food. But I am out visiting so the next month I was invited again. This time I had a club sandwich and it was good. I also some Mexican carrots and they are the best I have ever had. The same band was playing and the place was just as full with people dancing. If you have not been here, you must stop in. It's a really cool 50's classic restaurant theme restaurant. That has decor of paintings, furniture, and a classical car in the dining area. If you have an appreciation of nostalgia, then you will enjoy this place. The staff were very friendly and cooked everything fresh. I had the club sandwich that comes with a side order of fries. Only issue is cleanliness - when they are busy, you have to wipe your table clean before you get your food. Next is the restroom - women's had a pipe-repair in the floor. Whos job is it to check that restrooms are adequatly stocked because they didnt have seat covers and paper /towels. The small stall had cracked floors, the lighting over half the restroom was off or out completly and dark. There was trash on the floor in the stall, the left sink was dripping. Just because the diner is a cute car theme doesnt mean your customers should be treated like grease monkeys in the garage. Half of the customers were Marines and God forbit...the mens restroomay even be worst than the womens, but dont Americans service men and women supporting your business deserve a clean restroom? .... You may wonder what my problem is...well ill tell you. I also serve in a different branch, and I felt sorry foe your customers. I run a warehouse and sign off that I inspected the crew restrooms daily, and too makw matters worse...I took my 5 ye old boy in there to poop before getting back on the road and I had amplw time to inspect. Sorry- I have standards and I had to make my boy a tp seat cover. The old car in the restauraunt and decor are cute, but if you cant keep it clean it should go. Names were finger drawn into thw dust and there were finger prints all over all of the windows. So employees were ok The guy with the accent was nice..the lady with the face piercing not so much. I can overlook it but wiping down tables is all I saw. Fppd was great before I got the icks! There were chairs out front all captywompus...needed to be lined up nice. There was a local award in the window by the city. The decor took lots of effort amd lots of door dash/uber eats were picked up. as far as how the place is decorated, i love it and the car in the middle of the Diner is definitely not something i see everyday when i go out to eat !! The prices for the food there are ridiculously cheap which i love and wanted to order the whole menu in that case but one thing that bummed me out was the very small portion sizes. They tend to be a little stingy with how much meat they give you in whether you order a burger or sandwich but make the food like 99% lettuce which i love veggies but i didn't order a veggie sandwich with 1 piece of bacon ‍ I like the food but i don't love it , that's all. read more

I ordered a bowl of chili for $4.99. Not only were they're not any beans (as some chilies do not contain them), there was no evidence of any seasoning, and if there was any meat, it was granular. The chili had the consistency of oatmeal, and was essentially void of any flavor. No onions, garlic, cumin, chili powder... Nothing! I have never experienced such a poor approximation of what chili can be. If Wendy's chili rated 85, this chili would rate 1... yes 1. I would recommend that the owner or the chef visit a Wendy's and see what fast food chili can be, or simply open a can of any store-bought brand. I just moved to the area and I really really want a place where I can bring the kids to casual environment where the food is decent and not overpriced. I was hoping this is it, but I will tell you why I simply cannot eat there and find it even difficult to order food and wait for it. They have unfortunately decided to use Pine-Sol on every surface in the place. OK super that it's clean but don't they realize this smell is overwhelming. People simply do not want to eat food while inhaling, extremely strong pine fragrance. It makes everything taste like that strong overwhelming smell. I just don't understand why restaurants do this. I know they don't realize they're losing business with this practice. There's other cleaners that don't reek like this! Place decoration is fantastic the inside restaurant very clean foot wise. This was my first time in this place and I came here because there was a TikTok showing pastrami sandwich will serve any it look good but unfortunately it wasn't true The pastrami on the sandwich was dry and hard. Nothing compare with the sandwich that was on the post fries very small quantity for the price and the quality of the sandwich not good enough. The employees first the cashier was very nice. I ordered the pastrami with American cheese. She forgot to charge me and put them on the sandwich the waitress the guy who has taking the orders to your table. Very rude. I asked for some season Saul for my fries he said he was gonna come back five minutes past and he was just looking at me and never say anything about it. I have to come back to the kitchen section and ask for the same thing and he said that he was gonna try to give me some because they didn't have that like an aside order so I might not get it. I told him that the cashier told me that she will give me some all I have to do is ask so he went and talked to the cashier cashier had a big line and he didn't wouldn't get it the cashier had to goback to the kitchen and give me some season song if I wanna get a pastrami sandwich I will never come back to this place. The pastrami in the sandwich had to be soft and warm, not hard and cold, but I guess they grill the pastrami because the meat was very hard difficult to eat. Sorry guys. We spent the weekend driving everywhere with my son's friends and where ever they want and since these are all Teens they wanted typical teenager Foods like Hamburgers and Fries and space for them to Hang around and chat more. So I brought them to this place called " PIT STOP " at Oceanside. PIT STOP is Spacious and these teens like it when they saw it. I like it too coz they have a lot of nice decors like one of the Benches are full of Licence plates, tables with Hub cabs, Gas pumps and Classic Car in the middle of the Diner Room ;) My son and his friends ordered a simple Meal like HAMBURGERS, FRIES, and DRINKS. Good thing this place had this long wooden table that fits more than 10 people, we fit They have more selection of food here other than Burgers and fries, they serve Breakfast and Lunch and Dinner here . We used to love Pit Stop but a couple days ago we were moving and placed an order for delivery for our first time. We ordered 5 items and only 2 were correct. The pit stop burger and onion rings were correct. We ordered a plain Caesar salad, a BLT with avocado and a bacon breakfast burrito. The Caesar had overly salted chicken on it, the BLT had no avocado and the breakfast burrito which was a for me was a chicken burrito. I'm not sure why they aren't able to use paper plates. As far as the food...
