There was a long line out the door, but we ordered online so we only ended up waiting a couple minutes after arriving. If you order online, you wait at a line that's inside near the other shops and wait for them to call your name. I like the chowder flight if it's your first time so you can try everything. It's good for sharing with maybe one other person if you're both hungry. We are from the east coast. I have had chowder in Boston and also in San Francisco. This was by far the best chowder. They were all delicious. I don't know which is my favorite. I really liked the flight option. My lobster roll was also good and decently priced. The line was pretty long and moving but we scanned the QR code picked up our food. We waited in line against the green doors to find out they only do online orders. I had to step outside of the building to get phone signal and I put my order in. I lined up again and they are very fast calling out orders. I had my order within 5 minutes. We did the 4 cup chowder sampler. My husband ate the ones that contained fish since I have a fish allergy intolerance (sad I know). He said the salmon one was his favorite. My favorite was the seared scallop as it had a hint of sweetness to it. The flavor of the chowder was great but I barely had chunks of clam or scallops in mine which is my only complaint. My husband also tried the lobster roll which he liked but it could have used a little more flavor. A Seattle classic. Super touristy place but there is a reason why everyone (tourists AND locals) come here. The line moves pretty fast though. Connecticut Style Lobster Roll - packed with lobster (they do not skimp out at all!). The lemon brought out brightness to the lobster meat. The roll was buttered up to perfection, and warm. Everything worked really well together and I enjoyed it. New England Clam Chowder - We got this in a bread bowl form. It was so good and creamy. Not too rich where I couldn't eat a lot of it. I did notice they put a lot of potatoes, but not too much where it was overpowering all the other ingredients. I could taste a good amount of clams. The bread bowl was a great vessel to eat chowder in, I just wish the bread was not as tough. Only down side is that it is hard to find seating nearby when it's a nice day. They have very limited seating in their store and in the area right outside of the store, and it is a little cramped. They do have someone guiding people to sit. Maybe a better idea is to get it to go and find seating somewhere else in the market or by the pier. Very glad that I finally got to try this place after so many years!
