They have about a dozen beers on tap as well as cans and bottles. Staff friendly enough. The restaurant was not that busy but service was a bit slow. I've been here for mostly pop ups events and once for dinner with friends for a specific dish. I had been wanting to do lunch for awhile also I like to wait on reviewing till I try a place a couple times if so can. Visited for lunch yesterday with my dad he had the Fish 'n' Chips I had a taste very flavorful and crispy great fries as well. I went with the special Papa Reis Tuna Patties and the housemade soda which was a white peach, lemon and mint. My biggest tip for you at Pidgin is if you see a special on the board order it! Absolutely loved the mtabbal went so beautifully with the sumac onions, cucumber. Couldn't stop eating the sauce!! Lots of seating inside and out. When you arrive there are menus for you to look at while in line. place you order and the counter and pay they'll give you a number to bring to your table. Staff is always friendly and helpful from the person taking your order to the team bringing the plates to your table. Dishes are imaginative, packed with flavor. Not sure how good I'll do at making my way through the menu cause I almost always order what is on the special board. Lots of parking near by, open and bright space. Heard a lot of great things about this place so I was excited to try it out! Came on a Saturday at noon and it was mostly empty although more people started coming in later. The vibe is pretty chill and there's a variety of beer and drinks. We tried fried chicken sandwich, chili noodle, charred cabbage, and mochi bread for dessert. Our favorites were definitely the chili noodle and butter mochi bread. The noodle is perfectly umami with thick peanut butter sauce and chili oil - don't forget to add a fried egg on top! The chia seed and jam with mochi bread was really good too - the bread itself was warm and chewy. The charred cabbage was fine and the fried chicken sandwich was also ok but we thought it was quite overpriced for the size of the sandwich. I did like the sauce on the chicken, but some pieces of chicken felt gamey. The service was a bit slow even though there weren't that many people. I have been wanting to try this place for the last few months, after seeing a recent article on this place and hearing about the owner's story. We ate here on a Saturday afternoon around 3pm, and the restaurant was fairly empty given the odd time. The restaurant itself is decorated well and was a nice overall environment. It is quick-serve style, so you order at the counter and then they bring the food to your table. The staff we interacted were all friendly. The menu has a lot of interesting options which I appreciated. We had the mayu mac salad, animal ramen and super smash burger. The mac salad was my favorite and had great flavor. The ramen and the burger were good, and cooked well, but the flavors didn't blow me away. I definitely want to go back and try more items on the menu, but overall this is a decent choice for a casual meal if you are around the Magnolia/Interbay area. read more

This place has such good food that I just want to eat here every week. You go inside and order at a counter, and can then sit indoors or outdoor on their patio. They have a cute bottle shop for wine where you can buy some wine for your table. Dogs are welcomed and there are water dishes on the patio for them. I'm late to the party with their devoted following from their stints at farmers markets, pop ups, special events, and catering. However, I'm always happy to check out an indie gone brick and mortar, especially with a Hawaiian - Filipino background. I was able to stop in since I was nearby. Conveniently did a diagonal from Queen Anne by SPU over to Interbay/Magnolia - Fisherman's Terminal to check out Pidgin Cooperative (10/18/25). They share a parking lot with other restaurants and retail sites, so note there is a two hour limit. Nice corner location with outdoor patio seating (perfect for warmer weather) and indoor seating - both table and counter. Big windows, high ceilings, wall murals, and interesting light fixtures welcome you as you enter. Nice warm welcome at the counter, helpful menu suggestions are provided too. I decided on their version of the Loco Moco. Stuck with water and sat at the counter facing the beer & cider taps. To my right was well stocked chill cases full of various bottles and cans and other merch to peruse while onsite. All are available for purchase. I enjoyed their lighter spin on the Loco Moco, but especially their version of mac salad. The black sesame seeds added a nice touch. I also enjoyed the accompanying pickled veg to cut through the richness. The main entree itself was a mound of steamed rice with a smashed burger patty on top with the requisite gravy and fried egg. Lovely little place on the docks, especially if you're looking for a yummy, no-fuss meal! You might already guess it from looking at the restaurant name, but this place serves up Filipino-Hawaiian food (and a few other Asian fusion dishes). I went during lunch and got the loco moco, and my friend got the chicken inasal. Both were delicious! As a Filipino myself, I can attest that the flavor of the inasal was on point. The one thing that could've been better was that the loco moco was advertised to come with longganisa, but I didn't really taste any of that flavor come through (to be honest, I'm not sure if there was any in it at all?). We visited this intriguing Filipino-ish, Hawaiian-ish fusion restaurant on a breezy Friday early afternoon, hoping to find some food better than some other trendy Asian fusion restaurants we've visited in the past. Located at the main Fisherman's Terminal building, this restaurant is sunny and open, with larger windows along the walls, letting natural light through to brighten the area. It's a counter service establishment, so ordering is at the front counter. We encountered a short line on our visit but it moved quickly. I think the kitchen was a little backlogged since our food took almost half an hour to arrive. Koji Fried Chicken Sammie ($15) - The menu lists this as $16 but they only charged $15. The fried chicken is seasoned and lightly breaded, resulting in a more delicate type of crisp. It's very flavorful and salted perfectly, creating a bite that's fragrant and somewhat tangy, filled with vinegar and lemongrass essence. It's a rather small piece of chicken thigh, cooked decently, so while not dripping with juices, isn't dried out or tough. Above the fried chicken is a bunch of crunchy shredded cabbage and underneath is a bed of softened red onions mixed with a creamy sauce, which is apparently ranch, but I couldn't identify it as such. Everything is on what seems to be a commercial soft bun. Very wan, not toasted at all. The chicken is much smaller than the bun and much thinner to boot. I'd say the taste profile is excellent, but the value isn't really there; it's a very light sandwich and I felt like I could have eaten two in a sitting. (4/5) Mayu Mac Salad ($6) - They give a really small scoop of mac salad for $6. It's really good though. The pasta is nice and toothsome with still a bit of a bite, and is then mixed with a thick mayo base. It's not runny at all as with many other mac salads. The pasta has plenty of ridges built into the special macaroni for extra texture. There's shaved carrot and cabbage and plenty of shallot for crunch, all mixed into a base that's extremely savory with a bit of saltiness and fragrance that reminds me of Lao Gan Ma chili crisp. If only this weren't so expensive! (5/5) Chili Crisp Noodle ($17) - This is essentially a version of sesame noodles with chili crisp added on top. Unlike the fried chicken sandwich, this dish looks small but is so creamy and rich that it sits very heavily in the stomach. The sauce is really thick peanut butter mixed with vinegar, as is standard, giving a tangy and nutty note. It has almost a bit of a burnt taste for some reason. It's really thick and viscous and it coats the entire mouth in a film while eating. The noodles are nice and chewy. The chili crisp itself isn't too overtly spicy, instead it's decently fragrant, is very peanut-forward, and has the numbing mala sensation from sichuan peppercorns. (4/5) Overall Pidgin Cooperative serves some pretty good food. I think portion sizes are a little small for the price and even with the three items we ordered, we still left a little peckish. Stopped her for lunch with some friends and wasn't sure what to get so I tried the garlic prawns they had on their specials board. It was suggested I add rice to the dish so I did and I'm glad I did because I'm thinking this was ment to be more of an appetizer. The service was quick and very friendly. They have really good root beer on tap as well. My dish came out substantially early compared to everyone else's which made it a little awkward. These prawns where supposed to be garlicky prawns but honestly they didn't taste seasoned at all. The rice was good and the squash puree had great flavor, though I don't think it was very cohesive. Unfortunately, for the price point and what I had I personally don't think I would go back, I left wishing I had gotten a sandwich from the deli a few doors down. read more

I've been here at least four times possibly five so the rating is based on inconsistency across the board (both food quality and service) as well as having tried a wide variety of dishes over the last few months. This most recent time we noticed that the menu had been split into two and there are only a few items on the main menu, with most standout dishes being on the rotating menu. For four people, we ordered: Gyofun fries: came out cold Smash burger: good, would absolutely get again and recommend Beef short rib: doesn't come with rice which is disappointing for the cost and it being a main. Sauce flavor is punchy and delicious, acid forward! side rice: terrible. Undercooked or perhaps not washed well before cooking Kimchi: very fermented if you like that style Sesame chili crisp noodle: noodles were overcooked and became one giant blob with the sauce. We ordered a fried egg on top and that was cooked perfectly. Overall the flavor is really flat and it was mediocre at best. Tuna kinilaw: tuna didn't seem the best quality. Quality of sauce and accompanying herbs and orange was great, very fresh. If this was the only time we had been here I'd be happy to give it another go but between the other three times we've been here we've had: Salmon kinilaw: much smoother and more delicious than the tuna. The portion size was also bigger than the tuna Fish and chips: great portion crispy fried and delicious Mac salad: good Animal ramen: the noodles were so undercooked you could actually see the fire still through the noodles. The hot broth wasn't hot enough to keep cooking the noodles so it was just completely a bowl of undercooked noodles. Disappointing Wok fried rice cakes: good!! Today the food came out in a decent time but the time we got the fish and chips/ramen we waited over 30 minutes for our food and were pretty disappointed given the restaurant was not super packed. Today towards the end of our stay it was absolutely a packed house but the food was coming out in a very reasonable time and service was good. It's very confusing that it's so inconsistent across my four visits but we have decided to not give it another go because we can't tell if we're going to get a good day or a bad day. Finally visited Pidgin Cooperative, which we've been looking forward to since they opened. The restaurant is clearly well thought out: employee owned and operated, local vendors, seasonal dishes, but the execution was flawed. The biggest issue is the food. Of the four dishes we ordered, the only one we actually enjoyed was the chicken sandwich. The loco moco, ramen, and burger were all under seasoned and underwhelming. Comparison is the thief of joy, but we couldn't help compare all our dishes to others nearby that blew these out of the water. We plan on watching their rotating seasonal specials and giving it another go if we see some we like. For now, I get it and I'm good. read more

Tucked away in Interbay, is Pidgin Cooperative. Tons of parking around outside of the restaurant. A very open and community driven space. Lots of large community style tables are great for large groups. You order at the counter, then the friendly staff will let you know which table is yours. For drinks, we ordered the Urban Family Guava Dawn Sour and Bellingham Raspberry Lemonade Cider. I loved the variety of local beers and ciders offered on tap. For food, we ordered Furikake Fries, Animal Ramen, Chicken Inasal, and Salmon Kinilaw. Everything was seasoned to perfection. My favorite dish was Animal Ramen. I loved all the thin noodles which were still chewy and the egg and radishes complemented the rest of the dish well. I felt that the timing of the food was a little off. I felt that my ramen was nice and hot, however, the other dishes, the Furikake Fries and Chicken Inasal we ordered were on the colder side. I wish they would have brought out the other dishes first instead waiting for everything to be done. If you're looking for a casual weekday or weeknight dinner, please check out Pidgin Cooperative. We were attending the annual Fisherman's Terminal festival this past weekend and decided to grab a beer at the Highliner Public House when to my very happy surprise ... It's now the brick and mortar location of one of my favorite popup restaurants in Seattle: Pidgin Cooperative. The Highliner was a very well established and well loved local establishment and I'm thrilled that this talented group of food people have taken over the space. Turns out that the owners of the Highliner, John and Cecile, decided to retire after 12 years at the helm--They were part of a 37-year run spanning mulitple owners. Enter Pidgin. I can't say enough about how good their food is ... Their soft opening is this week, give them a try, welcome them to our beautiful Magnolia neighborhood, and be thankful that this space remains a restaurant owned by passionate LOCALS. read more

I feel this place sums up Seattle perfectly. The service was awkward at best. The person who brought our food out made weird eye contact, but didn't say anything, as he gave us our food. Basically he exhibited the Seattle freeze in server form. It talks about sustainability and local food, but it is extremely meat-heavy, which doesn't scream environmentally conscious. This is also true of Seattle as a whole, which throws off a fake environmentally conscious demeanor while things like public transit use is lower than in LA and vegetarianism is lower than in just about every major city in the country. Interesting place with interesting food. We had the charred cabbage, the short ribs and the squash. The charred cabbage was just OK, probably because the sauce was fairly bland. The short ribs were very tasty particularly because of the Asian pear slices but it was on a bed of cabbage, making this a heavy cabbage meal. The squash was the highlight, well-cooked with many flavors. We finished with the butter mochi which was quite delicious. This place is still getting its legs. It's intriguing and worth a stop. We were a group of 3 who, after perusing the confusing menu, each ordered for ourselves fast-food style at the front though were acknowledged as together. First order came after about 20 minutes, followed by the second order at about 30 minutes, then the final order at about 40 minutes and each order brought out by someone different. This made for an awkward & uncomfortable group meal. And though it was May it was quite cool outside yet inside the restaurant didn't seem to be heated at all so coats had to stay on. Ultimately the service here is non-existent, and I would only consider this place again for takeout. The restaurant was buzzing with families and friends at the tables. We chose to sit at the bar near the taps. The beer and cider selection was much more interesting than your typical offerings, with mostly small producers. We ordered the plate lunch with choice of protein and salad. The marinated chicken was delicious and enough for two to share. Two scoops of rice and green salad topped it off. Met a friend here for lunch. We were looking for something different, and the reviews looked promising. They seem to be in a soft opening, so maybe things will change, but I can't say I was as wowed as the other reviewers, which is what prompted me to write my review. I got a burger that had decent flavor and while I know it is a smash burger the patty was pretty small. Good, but didn't overly impress me and I don't think it was quite worth the price for the tiny patty size, plus the fries had to be ordered separately, but they were tasty. My friend got the fish and chips; they liked it but again, nothing that special. The staff was friendly but we had to order at the counter - the prices were more aligned with a table service restaurant, which this place isn't quite. I might consider coming here again and trying something different when they are more established, or maybe it was just what we ordered, but as they are we found it a good restaurant, but not quite as impressive as the other reviewers felt it was. read more
