We were seated right away. The owner checked on us occasionally throughout the meal. Modern decor with lovely tulip shaped chairs in white and yellow that hug you! The pasta making room is seen through a window in the dining room. The food is delicious and the menu is expansive!

This is a lovely restaurant in downtown Scranton and we got a chance to visit with family last year. The dining area is inviting and spacious and it was very comfortable inside. Our drinks were refreshing and the homemade fresh pasta was excellent and cooked perfectly. This was a great meal overall and it's great to see a place like this in Scranton!

I was visiting from Brooklyn to see my family in the area. My friend, who's a local, told me about a place that makes their own pasta and how they have a great lunch. Ok I'm in, I'm Italian, homemade pasta is right up my alley. We sat down, friendly staff (young and distant), but an extremely strange setting. It was like walking into a Wayfair showroom with a pasta kitchen. The branding was a bit horrid in my opinion, but I work in that industry, so I couldn't get over the esthetic before I even got to the food. The TV "paintings" with random art were the "highlight" truly... I'm being too kind. The wedding table numbers, really were killing me in the worst way. This place was like a mishmash of identities with no real clarity of execution or strategy on how to accomplish what they're trying to be. A crash landing of ideas with no real destination. Now the food and drink! The plates were the size of a small luggage! For starters, the "fresh" bread they offered with a rancid tasting olive oil and the tiniest drop of balsamic vinegar was appalling. The calamari was decent at best... it tasted factory made, the coating was thick and it came with the tiniest portions of sauce. I want my calamari, piping hot, with a really thin coating and a ton of sauce, that's just me. The chicken cutlet was a flavorless flour-dredged slab of meat. Barely pounded out and coated in a thin breading, with no seasoning, and it was crazy big! The Gnocchi four cheese was like eating dough turds in glue. The texture was not good at all, and reminded me of undercooked packaged pasta, and weirdly overcooked all the same time... like the water wasn't boiling and they added the pasta in while it was cold. Gnocchi should be pillowy soft and should literally fall apart in the mouth and the cheese sauce should not be like hair gel stuck to the food. It's Italian food, it's supposed to be herbaceous and well seasoned, this was food for non-Italians, who think they could like Italian food if it was just a little more bland and assimilated... without all the immigrant culture, ya know?! The best portion of the dish was the non-alcoholic drink, which is saying a lot. I genuinely hate to leave a terrible impression, but I really hated this meal, and I'm shocked by the reviews. It would seem a lot of people are here for the big portions and cheap food. Not a quality food experience. Everyone's got their own taste!

Came here for the first time the other day and it was wondeful! The staff was very pleasant and service was fast. The drinks and food were awesome! There was also live music which was great. Will be back soon.

Definitely have a reservation. I made the mistake of thinking it wasn't needed on a today evening, but oh was I wrong. We got a high top at the bar which was way too small for dinner for 2, but all we could get within a reasonable amount to ti me (1hr wait). Drinks came out quick and wait staff rotated by often. Free bread with olive oil was a great start. Calamari to begin - crispy on the outside, 2 sauces to dip into. Large portion (no pic). Carbonara - rich, creamy and cheesy. Pasta was fresh and perfectly cooked. I couldn't finish the portion as the richness overcame me. Affogato with hazelnut gelato for dessert. Creamy and delish, perfect pairing to end the meal.

Beautiful restaurant. Very attentive and helpful staff. Plentiful Italian bread, butter, and olive oil presented, no matter what you are ordering. We sat at the bar. We had the vegetariana pizza. Crust was light and airy. Sauce was delicious. Nice cocktail and wine selection. I did not try any of the desserts but they looked amazing. Best to have reservations, even for bar seating. I would return to explore the menu further.

I will start this by noting that the owner, Kristy, is a very pleasant and sociable person and it was a pleasure chatting with her at our table. There was no one at the front to greet us. We stood there for 5 minutes. My wife then walked around the restaurant to flag someone down to be seated. It was a chilly afternoon when we sat down at the outside patio for lunch. My mother-in-law had asked Christy for a hot tea. Christy let her know that they did not have hot tea and that they did not have hot drinks, so my mother-in-law decided to get an iced tea. The only thing that shows on the lunch menu is wine. My mother-in-law, my wife and I decided on food. My mother-in-law got pasta with red sauce and meatballs. My wife got a vegetarian calzone and I got a prosciutto focaccia sandwich with a spicy aïoli. My mother-in-law and I received our food first. She had eaten 3/4 of her food and I had eaten all of my sandwich before my wife even got her calzone. Kristy had come out multiple times apologizing for the weight stating that she didn't realize how long it took to make a calzone. The meatballs in the pasta were very wet metallic in flavor and bland with seasoning. It just tasted like a wet hamburger ball. All of the prosciutto was piled very deeply directly in the middle of the focaccia bread leaving a 1 1/2 inch border of bread around it so every time you took a bite at the edge of the sandwich the only thing you were eating was bread and nothing else. After we got done eating our meal, the person that cleared our plates asked if we wanted anything else and at first we said we did not want any desserts, but had changed our mind shortly after and I went inside to ask what kind of desserts they have. Kristy gave me their dessert menu and I see that one of the first items they have on the menu is espresso, and cappuccino. I then asked Kristy I thought you said you didn't carry hot drinks. She said all we have is espresso. I then pointed out to her that they also have cappuccino. She told me that you don't drink cappuccino before a meal only after a meal. I then informed Kristy that she never provided an option to have a cappuccino and that it is not her decision to decide what a customer drinks as a beverage at what time during their meal. She said "I'm the owner and Italians don't drink, espresso or cappuccino's before meal, only after meals". As for the dessert, we decided to take home the single serve tiramisu from the takeout cooler next to the register. When we got home to enjoy our tiramisu, it was noticed that the sell by date was yesterday. We figured we would give it a gamble, and my wife and I took one bite each and realized that the texture was very off and thick and the taste was so sour and off as well. The only thing that stood out with any of the food was the vegetarian calzone and the pasta sauce. Kristy kept going on and on about the pasta that she makes and how it is the best around authentic to Italy. In my honest opinion, pasta is pasta. Anybody can make pasta, but where it stands out is in the sauce and the sauce taste a decent. To close I pose these questions: 1. How does the owner of a restaurant not know how long it takes to cook their food to be able to time it properly and have the food come out at the same time for all guests so one of the guests doesn't have to wait an extra 20 minutes after the others have completed their eating? 2. Why would any Employee state that they don't carry an item for a customer when they clearly do? 3. Why does the owner of the restaurant that works in the restaurant not go through their inventory and remove old food off of the shelf let alone food that is accessible to customers at the register?

Amazing dinner out on the patio! Very high quality meal. We loved the calamari, meatballs and pizza! We definitely need to come back to try some new pasta dishes.

Awesome pasta and salads - all homemade. Also, fantastic pistachio cake and profiteroles. Everything was super fresh. Beautiful touches, authentically Italian- loved it!

Delicious Italian food , pretty restaurant. It's a Scranton gem. Loved my server Julie. She pointed me to the right direction when I asked for her recommendations.

We had an excellent lunch here yesterday. Arrived after the lunch rush and was warmly greeted by Stefano.i had the gnocchi with rose blush sauce and eggplant rollatini. It was unbelievably good. The gnocchi was light, the sauce was perfect and the eggplant was flavorful and cooked just right. My friend had the fettuccine with pesto and chicken parm which she raved about as well. Probably the best value for lunch in Scranton, ($15!!) and in a beautiful setting. Cannot wait to return.
