Bread and salad were great. Chicken Franchese was slimy, needed salt and was not hot. It seemed as though it was pre-made and heated up. Large portion but I did not finish the last piece. Service by our waitress was terrible. Not pleasant at all and never came to check on us after the meals were served. It seemed as though she was annoyed by our presence and did not want to work this particular day. The other waitress that was working and interacted with other customers sounded cheerful and very friendly. Complete opposite of our experience. Three stars is extremely generous and I'm certain we'll never be back to eat here again. read more

I ordered chicken franchise. I should've ordered bacon and hashbrowns on the side because it was all egg. I could not find the chicken and when I asked the waitress about it, she said the people next to you are eating it fine. The meal she charged me for was $24 and it looked like a paper thin piece of chicken dipped an egg. The egg was a lot thicker than the chicken. I do not recommend ever going there again unless you want breakfast instead of dinner. did not offer me a different meal or take anything off the bill basically said too bad. My clients decided to get lunch from this location. They called in the order, and I got the grilled chicken sandwich. When I arrived, I parked on site. I walked in, and the lady said my order was ready. I paid and left. While the sandwich looked good, there was more bread than chicken. This place has gone downhill tremendously. Ordered Veal Picatta and it tasted nothing like it and was drowned in black pepper and spicy, Picatta is not supposed to be spicy. Same with Veal Marsala, no taste of Marsala whatsoever and again drowned in black pepper and spicy which the dish is not supposed to be. Talk about a sleeper, I must have passed this place a dozen times before I even noticed it. Conveniently located near Geisinger CMC and easy walk for a delicious lunch. The bread is made in house and the lunch specials can not be beat. Eggplant parm sandwich, meatball parm hoagie and an order of stuffed shells all came with house salads and the bill was painless! This is a favorite restaurant of my husband's family. I love it! Their fried calamari starter is so good! And while the pepper shooters are too spicy for me, they're my husband's favorite! I enjoy the non red sauce dishes like the chicken francese. The dish comes with pasta, but you absolutely need to upgrade to the homemade gnocchi. So so so good! And I ask for the gnocchi in the francese sauce. 10/10. Their Fradiavlo is a popular dish for anyone who likes very spicy dishes! read more

This place is absolutely horrible with terrible customer service. we went there for parents weekend for the university of scranton. Food was not good. Their prices were ridiculous. I don't recommend the vodka sauce if you are looking for a classic Italian vodka sauce recipe. They basically make a bolognese sauce and add cream. I've never heard of vodka sauce with beef and peas added. It didn't even taste like vodka sauce. They also charged $8 extra to switch from red sauce to vodka on an entree. Their menu prices were wrong and they charged us different on the bill and offered no accommodations to reconcile the difference or apologize. They just said the menu prices are wrong without mentioning that prior to eating. Will not return here. read more

The Alfredo had 4-5 pieces of pasta in it with extremely watery sauce. Fried calamari was extremely soggy and had next to no taste. No seasoning at all, just extremely disappointing. I also ordered garlic knots, but it only came with 1 garlic knots which was raw in the center. Not an extremely cheap meal either so to say I'm disappointed is an understatement. We called after we opened and tasted the food and was told it was our fault for picking it up late ( maybe 5 minutes late maximum ) and was also told that the Alfredo was frozen and pre packaged. We have been going here for years. The family that owns this are straight from Italy. The pasta dishes are awesome. I haven't found any restaurants that beats their Putanesca sauce. I also find that they are very accommodating. I have recently started Keto diet, and they were able to put my shrimp fra diavlo over broccolini, it was fantastic. They are a made to order dinner, meaning you may wait for your dinner, but is authentic, hot and fresh. read more

When my food arrived, it was missing three ingredients, hot peppers, capers and giardineria - the three ingredients I was looking forward to the most. When I called the restaurant, the woman I spoke with said she would have the chef make me another if I came to pick it up. This wasn't ideal since I ordered on grubhub for a reason, but it was fair. I was on my way to the restaurant when the woman called me back and said the chef would not make me another because he believed he put the ingredients in the salad. Went to this restaurant on the recommendation of a client. Nice little place, has it's own parking lot, very easy to get to, smelled really good. The place was not very busy, but it was 530 pm, so that isn't that unusual. Looking at the menu, didn't see anything out of the ordinary for an neighborhood Italian restaurant. Service was OK, not stellar, but not bad either. Started out with bread - this was the best part of the meal, it was fresh out of the oven, nice and crusty on the outside, but fluffy and steaming on the inside - I could have just eaten that and I would have been very happy. Ordered a capresse salad to start, came chopped on a bed of iceburg - different, but the balance of balsamic and basil was perfect and the cheese was really fresh. So now you ask, why only 2 stars. The entrée was Linguini pamaodora which should be an easy dish to master. What was served was almost a soup with so much of what appeared to be alfredo sauce with a ton of frozen peas and four small bits of bacon. I should have walked away at first sight but I was really hungry and ended up eating about half of it. It was very disappointing. Had a well prepared espresso and left. While I normally would have said something to the staff, I did not and for that I am at fault. Sandwiches served at other tables look very good, maybe I should have gone that route. Overall, I hope my experience was an isolated one, but whoever bakes the bread, Bravo. Prices were reasonable, the house chianti was a decent house chianti at a fair price. read more

The interior seemed much nicer on my last visit than it did when I was a kid. I had dinner here last night with some family. The garlic knot appetizer was huge and full of garlic. Caesar salad was a little lacking, but I'm not really a salad person anyways. I ordered the Cheese Tortellini Carbonara. The serving size is HUGE. I'm not a modest eater and I barely took down half of it. Luckily, I get to eat it again for dinner tonight which makes me very happy. We also ordered the Meat Ravioli, Vegetable Lasagna, and Gnocchi Quattro Stagione (sp?). Everybody enjoyed their dishes and had some to take home too. We enjoyed Cannolis (very cheesy, but I liked it) and Lemon Cream Cake for dessert.
