I ordered the shrimp and pork spring rolls and the preset oxtail pho (there are options to DIY your own pho bowl, but the preset ones are more worth it, in my opinion). The broth, supposedly boiled for 16 hours, had a richness that you could really taste. The soup was fantastic and instantly satisfied my pho craving. The oxtail was amazing too! The spring rolls were gone the instant they arrived at the table. They, along with the included peanut sauce, were so addictive. The staff was very kind and responsive when they saw us, though sometimes they missed our signals. Overall, the food was high quality and tasted amazing. I came here for the first time for a nice warm bowl of pho on a cold day. I ordered a build your own bowl pho with brisket, rare steak, and thick noodles. It didn't take long to come out after ordering. I was most excited about the 16 hour broth. My first impression of the beef broth soup was that it was very salty, especially compared to other pho places that I've tried. The flavor was good, but I just wished it had less sodium; I didn't need to use hoisin or hot sauce because there was already so much flavor. I'm curious about the fatty broth; I might try it next time if I return. The thick fresh noodles were good and everything else was standard. They give a generous portion of bean sprouts. The Thai tea was very sweet and creamy with lots of jelly toppings. The cost of the food is slightly high for what it is but the portions are big. I love the ambiance of this restaurant and how it gives off a modern yet homey feel. And since we live close by, I feel like this will be a place we revisit in the future for sure. Spring Rolls: These are the perfect light and refreshing appetizer, and we get them at almost every Vietnamese restaurant we try. The ones here were great -- packed with shrimp and pork and served with a delicious peanut dipping sauce. They give you four so I felt it was the perfect portion size for an appetizer. Grilled Tofu Banh Mi: I was craving a banh mi so went with the grilled tofu one as it looked quite good. The tofu itself was so yummy, and I loved whatever they use to marinate the tofu in. VEGAN/VEGETARIANS BEWARE!!! I have told my family and little sisters to come here however now I am going to tell them to NOT. I absolutely adore this place I've been coming since 2015 or so when they opened after going to a flywheel class (now it's cycle bar). I even had met the owner and she was so friendly and gave me a black soup spoon because I told her I wanted to buy one and she gifted it to me because I was such a frequent customer. However - today I had an insane experience with a staff member. I ordered the green vegetarian spicy hue on the phone. She said "we only have chicken or beef broth" to which I said "I want the vegetarian spicy hue" she said ok "spicy hue". I was a little worried because she said a few times we don't have a spicy vegetarian broth. I said - on the menu there is a green spicy hue. So anyways I go to pick up the broth- a kind gentleman staff member helped me when I picked it up. I realized they gave me the beef spicy hue when I got home. No one in my house eats meat. I called and explained to the female staff member the mix up to which she got very defensive and said they don't have vegetarian broth. I asked her to give the phone to someone else because she wasn't helping me come to a resolve and the male staff member came on and he said to call back in ten minutes so he can call the manager to have her refund it. I live in Los Gatos and couldn't come back at 8 pm and needed the refund. So I called back and the female staff member went OFF on me. I hung up on her because she went on a rant about how she's worked at the restaurant the longest and how they other people don't know anything. I don't tolerate yelling or disrespect so I hung up and excused myself from the situation. I'm very very sad to leave this review but I don't feel comfortable to come back to a place where the longest working staff member isn't educated on the menu offerings. And had the audacity to yell at me and refused to refund me. If anyone should be mad, it should be me as my religion doesn't permit beef and it was brought into my house!! And luckily I could smell the difference and didn't taste it myself! I could have been very very sick. Ultimately I love the vegetarian green spicy broth. It's one of a kind in the bay! But this experience is unacceptable. And there was no remorse. Just yelling. The meat quality is great and tender, the broth tastes a little more like seasoning than a meat flavor but it's still good. The biggest thing is their portions are definitely on the small side and price is a little higher than usual. Even the water cups and toppings for the pho is miniature sized. Their 16-hour pho broth is slightly beefy, a bit on the clean side though the flavor is definitely there. And they put in a LOT of green onion and cilantro. I got the short rib pho which was fantastic. Their spring rolls are also made with fresh ingredients! I will admit they are expensive. There was a few of us who dined here a couple weeks ago when it was chilly out, pho sounded great. Fox News was on every tv in the place! We agreed the food was okay, but the ambiance was a miss. Just want to note service was good. However, we have taken this place out of our rotation now because we have noticed it is what is on tv here all the time. We will continue to dine at other restaurants in Sunnyvale and Mountain View. At this point, I don't think anyone wants to dine out with news on. The staff, however, looked pretty irritated when we came in, it was already past 5pm at that time so I totally understand if they had a long day. I've worked in the area for two years and never really ventured out down the street. I'm pretty sad I didn't come across this place sooner. The menu is straightforward and there are plenty of options. One of my favorites is their spring rolls and their grilled chicken salad. The food is always fresh and the rice paper has a great chewiness to it. Sometimes, with spring rolls it can be too soft or not bouncy enough. This isn't the issue here. Also, I like the option of having a full or a half option. During lunchtime it's perfect for portion control. The grilled chicken salad is also a favorite of mine. You can ask for the chicken on the side if you don't want it welting your veggies. The cabbage is crisp and I love the Jalapeños! I order this with a side of rice and it's perfect. One thing I also like is the way they package their take out meals. If you're not ready to eat it right away, you know it's going to be fresh when you do. I've been here at least a handful of times now in a short time frame. Consider me a new regular! The service is always nice and it's just a pleasant vibe in the restaurant. It's located in the lovely up-and-coming Sunnyvale downtown area, which has the Whole Foods I always go to. My go-to dish is absolutely the shaken tofu!! It is SOO good!! The garlic noodles that come slightly chilled are amazing. The fried crispy garlic/onion topping they add is the perfect touch. The tofu itself has such an amazing texture (better than any other restaurant I've tried) and the sauces are perfect. Love the salad too. It's the perfect meal on a plate. I'll usually get the tofu rice rolls on the side too - the peanut sauce is to die for mixed with some Sambal. read more

Ordered spring roll through Yelp, was ready on time and looked good. BUT, the 4 pieces had been crammed into the to go container so that they were all touching each other. Try to pick up first piece and the rice paper is glued to the one next to it so they both tear. Same experience with each one, so all were falling apart. Either someone made them too "fat" or no thought to the rice paper being sticky. Everything tasted fresh/fine, but having a "hand held" fall apart is never fun. I visited on a Sunday for lunch. Downtown Sunnyvale parking can be a little rough to navigate during high traffic hours. PhoEver is a nice spot off of the main Murphy Avenue stretch. I appreciated the bright and modern interior, which is nicer than some of the other more basic type of Vietnamese spots where the focus is on the food. That being said, once we were seated, the service was not the most consistent or attentive. They seemed busy and perhaps short-staffed. We had to go up to the counter to ask them to come to our table to take our order. I ordered the chicken pho and it was good. Chicken pho is hard to get wrong, though, and I haven't tried other menu items. Prices are a little higher than other pho spots (which may have larger portions and better food) but PhoEver is a better ambiance. read more

Came here for dinner after work. The interior seemed more upscale and modern compared to other Vietnamese restaurants, with utensils and napkins neatly bagged up for you instead of a whole bunch on the side. It was interesting that they played a few cooking videos on their TVs, like the Struggle Meals videos. It seemed almost full when we went there, but we were quickly sat down. I got the custom pho with the default broth and noodles, along with rare beef, brisket, and meatballs. I feel like the prices for the pho were on the higher side, especially since you have to pay extra for the third or more meats, and there were some that were even "premium" meats that cost more. The broth was pretty good, with a decent amount of flavor that didn't need any sauce. The meatballs were really delicious and were one of the best meatballs I've had in pho. The brisket was pretty good, with a nice balance of fattiness, but I don't think the rare meat was sliced thinly enough to cook nicely in the broth. My boyfriend got the Banh Mi with grilled pork, and it interestingly comes with a side of chips. I think the banh mi was not as tranditional tasting. It was on the smaller side, and almost all of the bread was taken out such that there was only the crust left. There was a generous amount of pork, though the sauce wasn't as traditional. There wasn't any pickled radish / carrots (or only a very small amount) as it mostly only had a few slices of cucumber. It tasted good, but my boyfriend (who is Vietnamese) felt it was severely Americanized that it shouldn't really be called banh mi. The service was okay, we didn't really need help with anything. However, there was a table that had a dog indoors, and generally I'm okay with that, but the dog barked really loudly a few times that it was pretty shocking and bothersome. They didn't really address that, possibly because the group was big and they would have lost a good chunk of business, but this wasn't a great experience. I think that this is a decent place if you come in with the expectation that this is fairly Americanized Vietnamese food with higher prices. However, I think I would go to other, more traditional places for my Vietnamese food fix. read more

Soup was delivered super hot and had nicely packaged everything, including a pack of sriracha. Might gross out some, but their rare (raw) filet mignon was in a cellophane bag and the lump of sliced meat resembled a bloody harvested organ. Sorry. Otherwise, the broth is so hot it adequately cooks the the meat to your desire. As I've mentioned before, the broth is the key quality indicator for Pho and this was excellent - clear, bone warming meaty, hearty and zesty.
