Came here craving for bun bo hue!! It was satisfying but you must try the Nem Nuong rolls especially if you like pork sausage! It was refreshingly delicious, good mix of vegetables and protein and was the highlight of our meal. We also got the vermicelli with grilled pork and of course, the spicy beef noodle soup which was the reason I came here in the first place. Been here a few times and have mixed feelings. Food is definitely good and comparatively one of the good spots around the area but I think it depends on what you get and also in terms of service what time you stop by. During busy hours, service is surprisingly quite slow. I found my table to be waiting 10-15 minutes for our order to come out which is unusual for a pho restaurant. Also in terms of my rating for food, I have not personally tried their pho but have tried their other dishes like the bun bo hue noodles and the bun dau mam tom which are more traditional Vietnamese dishes that a Vietnamese person would come here and order and I think they are very good except the bun bo hue is not at all spicy like the traditional broth and the bun dau mam tom is a little lacking in toppings. Other than that, I am willing to return to try their pho and try for myself to see if the pho holds up to the standards that customers love. read more

Wow, very clean and delicious pho. I'm from the Bay Area California and this broth was cleaner than a lot of places I've tried. Authentic and flavorful. I got p7 pho with rare steak, fatty brisket, and tendon and was very happy with it. We also got pork spring roll which had the crunchy skin and fresh veggies inside and it was well executed with their dipping sauce. Cafe sua was yummy too! Other than the amazing food, service was great and attentive as well. When we were packing leftovers, we put the sauce in our to go box and the server came by with a to go sauce container for us. Pho, vermicelli, summer rolls were all good and exactly what you can expect from a good pho restaurant. They have a lot more offerings than the typical pho place. A good amount of ingredients is made available even for the small size. The quality of the been sprouts and basil were good too. Pricing is appropriate for the area (see pics). They also have rice options if you don't want the typical pho soup. Then why the 3/5? It's because they automatically impose a 18% tip (this is on top of the Fairfax 4% food tax) for parties of 6 or more. Which is not the case for other pho places around. I would have less of an issue if this is disclosed beforehand and if the service was fantastic...but it's the typical they only show up when you first come and to bring out the food. Prices were decent, but service was lacking with 2 tables being sat and served with waters before my sister and I received water, even though we were sat beforehand. I've been looking for a good pho place near me. My family owns a pho restaurant themselves so I'm a little picky when it comes to good authentic pho. The price is also very reasonable. It's worth spending here as the pho is really nice and clean. I've also ordered the bun bo hue and it was good. As much as I can make it at home, I don't mind paying for how much work it goes into make these dishes. My only one complaint is I just wish the bun bo hue would have a more deeper flavor. I stopped by this restaurant while i was in town visiting family. the restaurant was clean, but our waiter was very slow. he also messed up both my and my husbands order. we ordered round eye steak and meatballs and were given a bowl with all different meats, including tripe, in it, most of which we didnt end up eating. he was also extremely slow at bringing our check and, when my friend ordered food to go, they just put the to go order up by the cash register as if it were a call in order, and never told us it was ready so we sat waiting for an additional 20 mins before asking if that order was ours. read more

I was in Fairfax for an appointment and decided to check this place out for lunch (it's located in a large strip mall which has a ton of fun choices of different cuisine). The front of the restaurant looks as though it's under construction but it isn't and they have a sign that says COME IN WE ARE OPEN. The menu is a book so they have several different options to chose from and a few vegetarian options in the back. Service: Not a large staff, there was one waiter covering the room and another person I think checking people out and refilling waters. I ordered the grilled chicken banh mi, shrimp rolls, and a Thai tea from Pho4ever. Within 20 minutes of eating half of the banh mi and taking a few sips of the Thai tea, I got extremely sick. I'm unsure what caused it, but the experience was unpleasant, and I won't be returning. read more

So I use to religiously go to Pho Sate and honestly they have gotten so huge that it has just fell off for me that I gave up. Honestly it makes me sad bc I consistently went for 10+ years. I came here before they switched owner, I think. So take this current review/my advice at your own risk lol the food may taste different now. When I was there a couple of months ago, I enjoyed both their pho, special broken rice dish and especially the Bun Bo Hue (spicy beef noodle soup).
