Unfortunately, he isn't sitting up on his own just yet, so we couldn't use the high chair, but we thought it was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture. It immediately made us feel welcomed as a family. I learned about Pho VietFresh from a Yelp newsletter. When I noticed that they were located in the Franklin Farms shopping center, we decided to give them a try. We were here on a Sunday around 4 p.m. At that time of day, it wasn't very busy. Both of us ordered pho. I had pho ga with white meat chicken. My husband got pho with shrimp. The servings were huge! We were impressed with how generous they were with the aromatics. We both liked what we ordered. The place is roomy. When we entered, we were told to pick a table, and we chose a 4-top. The decor is simple -- paintings of outdoor spaces. There was also a crucifix on one wall. If you need a fork for the pho, please ask for one. The staff was efficient and polite. The portion sizes here are huge so you can definitely share a bowl with someone else. Their spring rolls are usually large so I recommend just getting one plate to share with another person instead of two. I also really enjoy their Vietnamese coffee. This was my first time visiting this restaurant, and at first, I found the menu a little difficult to understand. Their menu is small, and I think that is pretty smart because they can focus and perfect their dishes. I also appreciate how big their portions are. We really enjoy the way they prepare it here. I have tried it at other Vietnamese restaurants and this place has really generous servings. I also recently realized they have banh xeo on the menu and was able to order it the last time we dined in it was so crispy and the portion size was huge. it was delicious :-) They were able to seat us on a busy night with no reservation, and we did not have to wait very long at all. Our server was very funny and joked around with us, but also very attentive and prompt in bringing things over. There is a lot of seating in general and it is nice they have a lot of indoor plants. We got takeout on 10/12. We had mixed reactions. DD and I shared the pork banh mi sandwich, DGD got pho with meatballs, we had an order of spring rolls, and DGD also got boba. Banh mi: flavorful, tender meat but not a lot of it. Lettuce, etc. was very fresh. It was described as being made with pork paté but it there was any, it was so little as to seem nonexistent. DD enjoyed the bread but agreed, not enough meat. Spring rolls: fresh ingredients but tasteless. There were shrimp in it, but they had zero flavor. The peanut sauce was good but not enough to compensate. DGD really enjoyed her pho and ate about half of it. This is currently our go to place for Vietnamese food. Conveniently located inside the Franklin Farm shopping center, their food has hit the quality and quantity mark for us. The portion sizes are great. If the food tastes good, and I can feed my family during such times for less, it's a win win in my book. My favorite item on their menu is the banh xeo - crispy crepe filled with pork, shrimp, and bean sprouts, wrapped in lettuce and dipped in their fish sauce vinaigrette. They use pork belly here and that extra fattiness adds good flavor. They've taken the shrimp shells off lately which my husband appreciates. I personally like this dish with or without the shells. The crepe was somewhat soggy once (perhaps it was an off day) but otherwise, this dish is usually pretty good here. Our kids order their pho was brisket, tripe, and meatballs and it's all smiles with full bellies. The broth is good, the meat is good, and no complaints. My husband gets their banh beo - savory steamed rice cakes. Not the best version of this dish but still good and this place is a lot closer to home for us compare to Eden Center. Service is good.
