TLDR: absolutely recommend this place. Some of my favorite Thai food in the area! The Drunken noodles with medium spice and the Ka Prow fried rice are two of my favorite dishes. My wife and I finally decided to try this place after years of saying "one day". We've now ordered twice in the past 2 weeks. The first time we ordered the Ka Prow fried rice and the drunken noodles with medium spice and chicken. I ordered the lunch size drunken noodles and it was a good amount of food! They were the best drunken noodles I've had around here by far. And the Ka Prow fried rice was so smoky and full of flavor! It makes all other fried rices feel boring in comparison. This time I ordered the Kao Soi chicken. It had a delicious red curry sauce and two whole chicken legs with the egg noodles. I loved how rich the flavor of the soup is. The full grilled squid was something we ordered on our first time and it was also really good but I think a tad overcooked. I can't really speak to service other than the staff being friendly when I've walked in to grab our order. But the inside of the restaurant is cozy. We will definitely keep coming back here and highly recommend it if you're in the area. read more

While the food is always prepared fresh, the spicing can vary widely, especially if multiple entrees with different heat levels. The portion sizes can be huge enough to yield leftovers one day and skimpy the next. The proteins are sometimes perfect and sometimes dry and chewy. The lack of consistency over my last several meals means we are on the hunt for a new go to Thai spot. Love this place! They had a really wide menu so I felt like everyone could choose something that they would like. I got the pineapple curry and I was really impressed with how much shrimp they put in it. All of the serving sizes for the dishes we got were plenty, and they came out nice and hot. The menu prices are super reasonable. There is a good amount of seating inside so you probably won't need to wait for a table. All of the employees were super attentive and helpful, it was really phenomenal service. The decorations inside are really cute and fun, it was such a great atmosphere. Food order was placed online ahead. Pickup was a breeze. Restaurant is located within a shopping center with Giant and other stores. Parking is plentiful and free. The problem was the food quality. Fried rice was bland. It was missing salt. Same with the other dishes ordered like the curry. I guess they only offer renal diet foods. Just absolutely no salt or much of seasonings used whatsoever. I haven't been here in probably 10 years. The food is great and I'll try to come back more often. I had the weekday lunch special - pad krapow with chicken. The spring roll was crispy and tasty. It had clearly distinguishable pieces of shredded cabbage it - not like what tries to pass as spring rolls at other places but is really just fried purée of bean sprout. The sweet chili sauce was good. The pad krapow came out spicy. Not Mark Wiens spicy, but good Thai spicy for a restaurant in the US. The type that will induce a mild sweat and cause you to pause between bites. I even pushed a few slices of the green chilies aside for my last few shovelfuls. This was terrible! We were highly recommended to try here for authentic Thai food and ordered takeout. My husband's chicken pad Thai was ok, but didn't have much flavor. The grilled squid, which we were so excited about, was decomposing and we threw it away. The summer rolls had completely unripe mango and we threw them away too. At that point I was too disgusted to even try my Tom Yum soup and threw that away too. I just hope we don't get sick from trying the squid. My only thought is that we did order at the very end of the night, maybe if we ordered earlier and/or dined in our experience would have been different. read more

Grill Squid $13-3/5 - It was good on the tentacle, but the body was still slimy LS shrimp fried rice $15 5/5 - comforting and plump shrimp LS Drunken Noddle with Duck $14 5/5- Amazing the drunken noodle here is one of the best in the DMV, the way the noodle has the wok charr and balance in spicy and savory flavor. Funny enough, in the last three months, I've only gotten takeout about six times. I've never dined in, but I'm sure it's even better when served fresh! I live just 6 minutes away, so I tend to enjoy the meals in the comfort of my own home--but I'll definitely dine in someday. The food is incredibly delicious, and the price is very reasonable ($$). Each dish is well worth the price. My personal favorites are: * Beef Drunken Noodles (perfect spice level) * Shrimp Pad Thai * Shrimp Fried Rice (sometimes with crabmeat) * Penang Curry These four dishes are more than enough to feed 5 adults--trust me, I eat a lot! The portions are super generous, and you'll never leave hungry. One memorable experience was during a snowstorm when I picked up my food, and the owner/manager gave me a free Thai (orange) drink! I get it spicy and think it tastes better that way personally. The very first time I went, I did have a very long wait for take-out (Saturday dinner) but dining in was not really an issue. This thai place is fantastic. Food is delicious and what really stood out was how they cater to kids. From the stuffed animal decor to the kid plates and utensils they are very kid friendly. This makes the experience all the more enjoyable for me as a parent. The ambience is adorable and the food presentation especially the mango and sticky rice was phenomenal! I've been visiting this area for years now and didn't know this place existed! Located in clock tower conplex next to Ned's, this place is a "hidden gem"! The ambiance is not what you would expect when you notice this place from the outside. We went here on a Friday night and the service was prompt - our server was very attentive. We tried papaya salad which was good, veg soup which was very flavorful but the standouts were the red curry with tofu and chicken pad Thai! I don't usually leave negative reviews, but this experience was so uncomfortable that I feel people should be aware before coming here. My mom and I were seated right next to the front door by the manager. Since it was freezing outside and the door kept opening, we politely asked if we could move to a table away from the draft. He told us no because a large group was expected to arrive soon. We then asked another employee, who said it wouldn't be a problem and moved us to a different table. A few moments later, the manager noticed we had been reseated. He came over, abruptly took the menus from our table, and angrily told us to leave the restaurant. The way he spoke to us was aggressive and totally uncalled for, especially considering his own staff had seated us. We decided to leave at that point. As we were heading out, he raised his voice again and told us to "go home," which was embarrassing and uncomfortable with other diners around. There was no confrontation on our end -- we didn't argue, complain, or cause a scene. We simply asked not to sit in the cold draft by the door. The entire situation escalated solely because of how the manager handled it. It's disappointing because the restaurant advertises friendly, welcoming service, which was the complete opposite of what we experienced. After reading other reviews, it also seems this isn't an isolated issue. If the owners see this, I'd strongly suggest addressing how customers are spoken to. No one should be yelled at or treated aggressively for making a simple, reasonable request. read more

When I first walked in, there were adorable Miffy bunny plushies on display and I thought the interior was spacious with such cute decor!! The service was good as our waiter checked in on us twice as we took a bit to order. I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai and it was so flavorful and well balanced! I got a spicy level of 2 (medium spicy) and it was perfect for someone who can't handle super spicy foods that well. There is plenty of parking as it is located in a local shopping center as well! I also appreciate that you can make a reservation here!! I would definitely come again! Why on earth that if you already auto charge us for 20% for tip then give use receipt giving us the option to pay tip again. I feel like I have been scammed by the restaurant because I have to pay another 15% for tip. Restaurants keep complaint that they do not make enough money doing the work that they love to do. Had been to one of our friends birthday . Was travelling to Leesburg and found this restaurant from Google reviews . 4.5 stars on Google and we thought of going there . Nice interiors and parking facilities . Atmosphere was cozy and we liked it from inside.. Service could be much much better . Everyone who was working there , always go back in the area behind the bar, and chit chat there . You have to get up from table , and keep calling them to get to ur table . The guy was a little bit annoyed and when we told that one of the dishes is a bit raw , he kept denying and never spoke in a toned-down voice . And then it was my friends birthday and I asked him if he can get a small cake with a candle and he said he will check . He never came back with any answers. Disappointing ! Most of the food items were good though . Drunken noodle was really good . Thai curry and rice was also good . My friends had shrimp and they liked it . Some restaurants are consistent with the way they cook your favorite dishes that you keep going back year after year. This is one of those cozy neighborhood Thai restaurant. I've been eating there since my kids were babies. They have seen them grow up. The dishes we always get are some combinations of Pad See Ew, Drunken Noodles, Chef Fried Rice, Raad Na, or Pad Thai. We also get their Fried Spring Rolls and Papaya Salad appetizers. The servers are friendly making your dinning experience enjoyable. Stumble upon this Thai place again after years of being back in the area. I wanted to try some seafood options today. It's nice to see they have seafood as protein for most if not all of the dishes. I had the seafood pad cha and it was pretty damn good. Plenty of proteins and the sauce was very flavorful and not too spicy where my tongue would beg for water lol. Really disappointed with the food here. The main positive thing I can say is that the portions are great. You get a decent amount of food for the price. We got shrimp drunken noodle and chicken pad thai. The proteins in each were pretty good/high quality. Everything else basically ruined the dish. I've never had Thai food with THIS much oil. I get that the food has a lot of oil, but this was far more than any other place I've been to. It was drowning in oil. The food was also super bland, even with the spices. Full house on a Friday night! It was a great sign about the food to come. Didn't have a reservation and the server said it would be about a 15 minute wait. To our pleasant surprise we were seated earlier than expected. Appetizers ordered the Hoi Jow which are 5 pieces of deep fried crab meat, pork, and mushrooms wrapped in tofu skin. Yum! Served warm, the appetizers were nicely stuffed, and the plum sauce wasn't too sweet. Entree came next (ordered Red Curry with Tofu) and there was a little mix up with the order. It happens Red curry with Tofu came and it is really sweet. I wasn't expecting it to be so sweet since when you look on the menu it has two chili peppers next to it denoting that it's spicy. I was pretty surprised at how unique the interior looked. There are stuffed animals for decoration which shows a lot of character and personality of the owner (I'm guessing?), but I like cute things and collect plushes myself, so I liked it. The food, though? 10/10 yum. It's different from other Thai restaurants I've been to. My husband also thoroughly enjoyed every bite of his food. We were pretty surprised at how good everything tasted compared to other places, so we had a great overall experience. A while back, we were searching for a place to have lunch at Village Center at Dulles, where there is a European-looking building. We ended up dining at this Thai restaurant, which we really enjoyed. Their whole grilled squid was delicious; it was slightly seasoned and had a perfect texture. I ordered the Raad Na Noodle and fell in love with it instantly. The gravy was perfectly balanced with the noodles and seafood, making it a great dish. I first had chao phra ya years ago when i worked in the area. Their lunch specials were the thing! Fast forward to recently, it's my favorite Thai spot in the area! Inside is so cute and nicely decorated. When I was pregnant, their tofu pad Thai always hit the spot and still does! It's now my favorite! THE ABSOLUTE best drunken noodles I have in my entire life to the point where I have like told 10 different people to come here! (one lady i told has come here three times in a week, its that good).
